I got my DD intentions page done and day 1...then boom all of a sudden its Dec 11 🙄 I did print out photos so that's good but right now the state of my craftroom is all packed up and ready to be moved. My dd is in a crop style bag if I ever get a chance to play. But I don't really feel it until I'm in my new space kwim? Dh and I are switching spaces so there needs to be painting done before he can move his stuff (he's not fond of purple walls with butterflies stamped on them 🤣) so until we paint, he can't put up shelves and until he puts up shelves he can't move his stuff, then after that I can move my stuff...its a crazy thing to do right now. What in the world was I thinking 😳!

I USED MY MAKING MEMORIES EYELET SETTER TOOL AND HAMMER TODAY!!!!
Not to set eyelets, but to unjam my SU! stocking punch. When I wrap presents for "kids" that are far away, I often put together a "stocking": small comfort items in a box, and then indicate it is the stocking by hand cutting a sock and gluing it to the top by the gift tag.
This year, I thought I would get crafty and use felt. Then I thought I could die cut the felt with a stocking die--which I either do NOT own, or have misplaced somewhere. So then I remembered the punch. And thought that if I could diecut felt, why not punch it? Why not, you say? B/c felt wraps itself around the blades and does not cut all the way through and then jams the punch.
Yesterday, I abandoned the poor jammed punch and went back to wrapping, but this morning I had a brainwave: I have TOOLS! Grabbed that little metal MM box, the setter and the hammer. A couple of taps (well maybe a few more than a couple) and Voila!!! The punch has been unlocked.
I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON NOT TO CLEAR ANYTHING AWAY OUT OF THIS CRAFTROOM. NEVER KNOW WHEN I MIGHT NEED IT!

I didn't do any scrapping today. I did pull tools out of random areas of my room that I stashed them. Oh, and I found a bunch of 12x12 pocket page protectors that I didn't remember I had. I thought about culling my stamps today, but I stepped away from them because I am in a "toss everything" mood, and I think I'll regret it if I do. This sounds like a normal day to me. Do everything but scrap.

I'm tired of making Christmas cards. There, I said it! My swap cards are all postal and I just need to finish a few designs for the nursing home. Oh, and a couple of special cards - one for a friend, one for my niece. And THEN I can pack it all away. After I go through everything and organize and destash. That is much needed.
I'm so ready for Valentine cards.

I usually give myself one day of the weekend to scrap. But I have been slogging through the same dang project (a vacation book) for months now, and have no motivation to finish it. So I "gave myself" December off. I truly hope my inspiration and motivation returns in January or I am going to have a half-finished book of Hawaii pics and a whole room full of supplies, just sitting there.
It stresses me out when I lose my mojo...

No scrapping for me, but I am randomly accomplishing small tasks whenever I feel like being productive in my room. It is really the smallest of things. Moving stamps around mostly. I received my 60% off progressive sale stamps from Technique Tuesday a couple of weeks ago and decided that was as good a time as any to make inserts for the rest of my 4x6 stamp pockets which meant it became even more difficult to find an excuse not to tackle putting away and rearranging others. I have pockets just for 3x4 stamps now, but still have some doubled up in the 4x6 pockets that need to be moved. I also had a HUGE aversion to discarding any packaging for a long time (just cutting off the hanging plastic was hard for me for a long time) so not only were some doubled up stamps needing to be moved, they were still in their original packaging because they fit in the larger pockets. I still don't feel like making labels for my 500+ (I counted...yikes!) stamp sets, so I do keep the original backers with them. Some companies make them too tall for the stamp pockets, so they stick out of the top. Today was the day for tackling that as well.
Seriously. The most BORING thing ever. But I feel incredibly accomplished. I started the day in an out of the blue terrible mood and doing all of this made me feel so much better. Maybe others who REALLY love organizing things will understand how tiny improvements (that literally no one but you would ever notice) can feel like you've done something massive.
I don't dare ask my husband if he notices anything different because even if I moved half of my room around, he wouldn't be able to tell a difference.
I'm also youtubing 'clean with me' style videos that are centered around the craft room. I wish more people did this. I don't care if they do a before and film along the way and don't post until after they're done for fear of being judged if they end up being pulled away and unable to tackle everything they want to tackle, I would just love more of this content. I find that it inspires me more than room tours these days and there aren't that many.

I have given up on the page I worked on all weekend. Just thinking about it raises my rage level. Something about the colors of the photo is making me crazy. It needs to sit for at least a week before I get back to it.

Well a week ago I placed a $150 order. All lawn Fawn stuff. On Tuesday I emailed the company just asking when my order would ship. Got an email today in response that it should go next week.

Is that good news or bad? Seems like an awfully long time to wait, but I know international shipping can take longer sometimes I guess at least you'll get it eventually, and that's something to look forward to...

My November/December kits arrived today, along with my order for foils. The kits usually ship about the first of the second month, but she was late getting them out this time. I rummaged through the pizza box, ate the chocolate bar she always tucks in, but have not yet looked at the kits.
Have photos for a two page spread laid out on my scrap counter, and want to create a Christmas card from my stash tomorrow, so not sure when I will get to play with the foils. I hate ordering on line, b/c they are nowhere near what I expected. And not nearly as MUCH as I expected for the posted price. I got them at a discount, but for what is in the package they are still pretty expensive.

I think I've come to the realization that, even though I've bought a ton of new papers, I haven't really wanted to scrap lately, and it's because my photo files are a mess. I'm going to have to spend some time on my computer going through them and deciding which I want to scrap and planning out my pages.
I'm also realizing that I'm going to have to split my 2018 album into 2 volumes, and I'm feeling a little weird about that for some reason. My family values them, but it still just feels like too much, kwim?

My lss asked me to help plan there first weekend crop.
It will happen on national scrapbook weekend
It's a three day event. Not out of town but local. It will be held a community centre.
I'm so excited. We hashed out the details the menu everything yesterday when I went in for their boxing day sale ( early boxing day sale) she asked if I had time and I said yes.
I even did the math on stuff gave her budgets and profit line what goes in the goody bags.
I told her a smaller goody bag with better product is a much better goody bag then a large one with crap no one wants.
Figured out the price. What suppliers she's going to hit up for prizes. And what her prize should be.
At the end of our conversation she said my spot is free.
I'm super excited for this event.

I haven't scrapped in quite awhile.
I want to want to. I just have no mojo.
I even have good pics. So many to choose from.
I put paper down. Futz around with pics. Refuse to take anything down because I'm just not feeling it.

I have trouble being creative when I have a lot on my plate. Ironically, scrapping is my way of letting off steam and destressing.

I don't feel like starting an entirely new thread, so I'll just mention it here. There has been an update to the clearance rack at Stampin Up. Lots of inks, refills and cardstocks. So many blue options, but there are others. There are also embellishments, card kits (including a PL style set), embossing folders, dies and punches. I primarily purchase their basics from them and often only pick things up during promotions or when they clearance stuff out. I find their stamps to be overpriced but their inks are one of my favorites.

I finally cut into my Head in the Clouds collection. I love new collections and I usually let them sit for a bit before diving in. I'm working on a Disney World album and this collection is perfect for those photos.

I received a lovely pack of Wild Whisper papers and stamps with a FARM theme from justjac for Christmas. Perfect for visits of the kids to the farm, or scrapping our one rodeo family.

leeny, what a fabulous bucket list item! @dasmith I’m right there with you as far as life keeping me from creating. mikklynn, glad your dh is home and ok. scrappington, your event sounds awesome! It’s Dec. 18th and I haven’t done a page. I have been trying to tag digital kits (at least one per day), but even that hasn’t been done for the last few days.

Today I scrapped! Little Yay!😀
It made me happy that I used four stamps, and used up a sheet of Thanksgiving stickers that I bought at a flea market three years ago.
I'm glad I used the stamps because the other week I was I a purge mood, and thought about getting rid of all my stamps. Glad I didn't now.
I also used my Prisma colored pencils to color the snowman stamped image in. I've had the same twelve pack for over a decade. Guess I'm getting my money's worth.

I'm working on a Disney World album and this collection is perfect for those photos. I hope you'll post what you make with it. I've tried everywhere to find examples using it, and it seems like either it didn't sell or else no one has had the time to break into it yet. I really can't wait to see how you use it. I think most of mine will be devoted to Disney pages too, or just little girl playtime pages.

I'm seeing people everywhere discussing their scrappy PL plans for 2019 and I'm over here just hoping to finish 2018 before I decide anything 😉
On the upside...Painting is done! Now dh can work on his shelving so that we can get these spaces moved.
