Anyone here going? My scrappin' buddy and I are going... I'm more excited for Story Camp than I am for Christmas! (And I LOVE Christmas!).

Not this time, but I have been before. You will have a great time!!!
And if noise bothers you, get a balcony room and you will be on the opposite side of the hotel from the train tracks 😉

This would have been the only I could have actually purchased tickets for since it didn't sell out in 30 seconds. Too bad I didn't have an extra $1,000 this time of year!
Seems like everyone who goes has a wonderful time, let us live through you once you get back and can share all the awesome details!

Have a wonderful time! I've considered going but always seems to be the wrong time financially.

I wasn’t familiar with Story Camp so I had to look it up. It sounds amazing. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun.

UPDATE: Got home from Story Camp a few days ago. Absolutely, positively AMAZING! It has really changed my ideas on how I will tell my stories. Ali's classes were so inspiring and thought provoking. I so enjoyed absolutely every minute of it. She is also really down to earth. We had the pleasure of meeting Simon (her son). I tried so hard not to fangirl too much when meeting/talking with Ali (or heck, even Simon! . Oh, and in casual conversation she talked talked about Tim and Heidi... Oh, and we Facetimed Cathy Zielski and sang her happy birthday. Uh, yeah, that part was surreal. If you have a chance to attend, do it. It's an expensive three and a half days but it was so worth it. My only regret is that attending Story Camp is a one-time thing... I would love to go every year!

Glad y’all had such fun! Admit it seems like something I’d really enjoy & hope the stars align one day so I can (as for the expense, having splurged years ago on an amazing scrapping experience in California, it really can be worth it). Hope you’ll share more details & photos as able!

I would love to go every year! Glad you had fun! I have to admit I don't understand why she doesn't just offer them more often so people can attend as often as they want. Block off a certain amount of time for newbies to register and then open it to everyone, even previous attendees. It seems foolish to let that interest be wasted.

Hmmm, I would like to tell you all kinds of juicy things but truthfully, I don't remember much about it. I've only done DD once so I wasn't as excited about the 'sneak peek' as some of the other participants. I DO remember that Ali said the colors would be brighter in 2019. Someone asked if the red was going to be a real red (as opposed to burgundy/maroon) and she said that it was a true red. I do remember people getting excited about cute cork accessories. Ummmm, hmmm, I'm not trying to be secretive, but I don't remember much (and it was a pretty quick sneak peak).

Block off a certain amount of time for newbies to register and then open it to everyone, even previous attendees. It seems foolish to let that interest be wasted. I don't know the reason that she doesn't offer Story Camps more often but I can only speculate that she just doesn't have the time. I think the Story Camp is a huge undertaking and I know that she and Katie worked on it for weeks/months to get everything together. There are so many details that go in to this Camp. Several times she mentioned that she is able to produce so many layouts, etc. because she has to... because she has deadlines. I think product/class production is her main focus, not the Story Camp. Again, I'm only speculating that she only has so many hours in a day/week/month and with a family of five kids plus products to create and classes to create under a deadline, she probably really only has time to do one-two Story Camps a year. I also love that the class size is limited. I think we had 40 in the Camp? It was intimate and she spent time and talked with absolutely everyone. If she had more classes and made them larger, that intimacy and special-ness would be loss (even though more people could go, and probably could repeat with no problem).

I’m hoping for a white album as well.
