UPDATE: Scrapbook pal sent an email that it is back in stock!
EK Herma dotto removeable is my go to adhesive. I get it for my birthday and Christmas in a quantity to hold me over until the next holiday. But now it is missing in action. Scrapbook Pal is out of stock. I use so much of it I can go through 2 of them at a crop.
So this post has 3 parts. First, does anyone know if it is still going to be produced? Second, does anyone have a stash they want to part with? Third, is there another similar adhesive I can go to when I use my last roll, or mix it up to stretch out my stash?
My stocking will be empty this year without herma dotto filling it up.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they are making it anymore. I love the permanent Dotto and read somewhere that it was being dropped. I bought all I could find at the time. I thought it was just the permanent, but it sounds like something is up with the temporary, too. I really hate that right along with you. I'm going to see if I can find where I read this and report back if I do. Good luck finding some for your stash!

Yeah, I don't think they make it anymore either. Sorry. When I couldn't find the Herma easily I switched to the Tombow Stamp Runner (pink one) and then that one was discontinued. Right now I'm using Kokuyo Long and I buy it from Amazon. I think it works OK. I haven't had anything fall apart. The base is $7, but a box of 5 refills is $20.

It was made by E K Success which was bought by American Crafts in September, 2018. I hate it when they buy a company that I like and use products from, because it seems to me that they either discontinue my favorite products, or change the quality to where I won't use it any more. Their adhesive line doesn't have any repositionable tape. www.americancrafts.com/product-category/adhesives/

For a long time I used the Tombow Mono Dot Adhesive refills. I purchased them from penwa.com and used either their 2% or 5% off total order coupon, depending on the size of my order.
In the past year, I switched to the Kokuyo Dot Liner Long refills from Amazon. I think they are equivalent in performance to the Tombow I previously bought and at a lower cost.

Here’s a link to the story at Scrapbook Update: LINKY
If the switch just happened in September, it makes sense that there would be shortages right now while they get their distribution system figured out. It really does concern me that so many scrapbook companies are all under the same ownership. If American Crafts sinks, it pretty much takes most of the industry down with it at this point.

it makes sense that there would be shortages right now I see a glimmer of hope that maybe they will produce dotto. In the mean time I have invested in the 12 rolls I can find and also the recommended Kokuyo Long.

I guess I will switch to something else if I must, but I love being able to reposition items even months later. And easily remove adhesive if needed by simply rubbing it off. I am probably set for another year, but I never thought I'd have to hoard adhesive.

I am another who loves her repositional adhesive!! I change my mind too often to use permanent. I used to use the Herma dotto but when it got hard to find I switched to the scrapbook adhesives brand and have been very happy with it. Everything stays in place, yet I can tear a page apart a year later because I still hate it easily lol.

They will let me put 3 (not more) in my cart but I can't get to the checkout. Maybe the web site is having issues? Have you ordered from this site?

If you’re still looking Scrapbook Pal just sent out an email that they have the refills back in stock $3.15. They are a great company to order from.

Does this repositionable tape become permanent after a while? Or does it stay repositionable?

Does this repositionable tape become permanent after a while? Or does it stay repositionable? I've been able to pull stuff off later, but it becomes more difficult. Still doable, though.

Does this repositionable tape become permanent after a while? Or does it stay repositionable? If your paper has gloss to it then it becomes fairly permanent. If it has dimension or glitter it has difficulty adhering. Pretty much everything else it can remain repositionable but some things will stick really hard and tear underneath a little if you eventually move it. I usually put the adhesive more in the center so I can get my fingers under it if I need to and pop it off.
