DH's sister. Her husband called this evening. He came in from working in the yard and found her unresponsive in a chair. Could not wake her, so he called 911. They ran all kinds of tests and couldn't find anything wrong. Her bloodwork didn't show anything.
They decided to send her to another hospital, she woke up about 10 minutes before they transferred her and had no memory of what happened. In the ambulance she was fighting them, when she got here, she was combative and it took 4 people to hold her down. Her husband thinks she may be reacting to a drug they gave her.
We are currently in the waiting room hoping to hear something soon.

This thread has made me happy and sad both. I see that some have joined in on prayers, thank you so much.
If you could keep my FIL in your prayers, he's in hospice but may be released to go home hospice care - I'm really not sure that's the best thing for him. Pray for my MIL who will have to care for him.
Also, my cousin had a very rare form of breast cancer which does not respond to chemo. She has been very positive, please pray for a long life for her.

My dh is still unable to eat, exhausted, in pain, and hoping for a diagnosis and treatment options at his appointment next week. I've been praying for guidance for the doctors and relief for him and appreciate every person who thinks of him.

Sending up prayers for all who posted. What a great thread, Freebird.
My BIL's brother was in a skiing accident out of state a week ago Thurs. He has broken bones, brain trauma and has been in a coma since they found him. He has a 13 and a 15 year old and my sister and BIL had to the break the news to them before Christmas. His prognosis is not good.

Yes. I am still close with my former mother-in-law. I saw her on Christmas Eve and it was her birthday. However, everyone took time talking to her privately as we all know it will be her last Christmas more than likely. She also just entered hospice so it was a bittersweet time. She has always welcomedvme into her home and has never said a cross word about me despite my divorce from her son. I love her to pieces and just wish her a speedy end if it is her time. Thank you for asking.

I would like to afd myself to the prayer list. I *just got home from 4 days in the hospital battling a severe pneumonia, It is in the lower lobe of the same lung as my lung tumor. The pneumonia was putting pressure on something that was causing horrible pain and shortness of breath. I was in very strong iV antibiotics, and pain meds and was sent home with oral antibiotics.
I would like to add my prayers for all who have posted.

Please also pray for my BiL. He had surgery on Thursday to remove a tumor from his spine, and his recovery is not going as predicted. Since Saturday, he has had no movement or sensation below chest level. The doctors think it is due to swelling at the surgery site, but don't know when it will resolve. He has been told he may never regain full use of his legs. He is only 54, and a very active man, so this is just devastating for him and my sister.

I'd like to request prayers for my niece. She has a large mass in her left breast which was biopsied last week with results due on Jan. 9. Drs. are fairly certain it is cancer. Also, prayers for my nephew's baby boy. (Niece and nephew are brother and sister, my sister's children.) This precious baby boy was born about 3 weeks ago and has been diagnosed with PKU, a serious lifelong genetic condition. He is unable to digest proteins with many life threatening other issues. My sister is taking all this hard and could also use some prayers for her peace of mind. Thank you.

I have two friends that were diagnosed with cancer in December. One is having his prostate removed on the 2nd. He's already beat leukemia, so I know he's a fighter! The other friend has two lesions on his brain and will start treatment soon.
I don't even know him, but Mike "beard guy" Taylor from the band, Walk Off the Earth, passed away in his sleep of natural causes last night. I love that band, have seen them in concert, and have tickets to again this spring. So shocked. Praying his family and band find peace.

Thank you! I'm praying for each of you as well. I could add a ton to the list as sooooooo many are in need these days as you can see just by all the requests being made. Please pray for my grandson - school and job; son - school and job; and myself for health reason.
God Bless!

My mom is suffering so much since my dad passed away 3 months ago. Thank you for this reminder to open my heart to all of the others in this world who are suffering and need prayers. I read through the thread and said a prayer for comfort and healing for each person mentioned. You are a good egg, Freebird!

YES as a matter of fact.. My cousin's daughter on her 16th birthday on Dec 21st (I think that was the date) started feeling bad, she was at school and the nurse called, mom/dad picked her up, still not feeling well and starting to act very strange, tried to get her in the car to go to urgent care or emergency room but she wouldn't get in the car. They called 911 and they took her by ambulance to the ER, she immediately had a MRI (I think that is it) but whatever, it checked her brain out. She had a blood clot that apparently she was born with but never did anything and never caused a problem (they never knew she was born with this) so it was about to burst. She had an emergency surgery to basically save her life. They didn't know if she would even live through the surgery. She made it through the surgery and now trying to get back to herself. She is still in the hospital and getting ready to move to a rehabilitation center.
I know there is WAY more to the story and technical terms and all that but she needs prayers for recovery since they don't know how far she will be able to go. Right now she can stand for about a minute. She can talk about some things. Gets very emotional. Happy one minute and angry the next (understandably) they are not really sure how much she can understand what is happening to her.
Thanks for any prayers!
Edited to add: I just read everyone else's posts and I want to say that I will remember all of you in my prayers.. from jobs, money, health... it's all important!

I would be grateful for prayers for my family. 2018 has been a devastating year. We have lost several family members this year, including my father. My sons are struggling badly, as they were extremely close to dad. Also for a smooth delivery for our niece in law as she is being inducted now. So grateful for this thread, and will keep all in my prayers also.

First off, I am sending prayers for all who are suffering. I hope and pray that 2019 will bring peace and hope and better times for all.
My Ds23 can use a prayer or two, he was laid off last Wednesday from what we all thought was a very secure job with a future. His live in GF may also lose her job this week, so they will have no income until he finds a job.
My 28 yo/o niece has been diagnosed with an immune disorder and is struggling with her Kaiser insurance to find proper care, so she can continue to work, and Dh step mother (who is a close friend) is having digestive issues which sound serious, she will have tests this month.
I could use a prayer...I tend towards anxiety, and this along with some other stressful stuff, is about to put me over the edge. December has been bad for my family.
Thanks for this thread, prayers are always welcome!

Prayed for everyone that posted...it's been a tough year for many of us.
If you could spare a prayer for my parents. Dad had a kidney removed over a month ago...recovery has been tough. He got a bowel obstruction, then probably the stomach virus. My mom is at her wits end. They should be in Florida as of tomorrow well that didn't happen. So now they are supposed to leave in a week (they take the auto train from DC area to Orlando area.) I am betting it's put off again. They have paid for 3 months there....thanks

My mom passed away a week before Christmas. My heart hurts and I feel numb. I wouldn't wish a Glioblastoma tumor on anyone. Oh, my gosh. I am so very sorry. Gentle hugs, dear Pea.

My dh is still unable to eat, exhausted, in pain, and hoping for a diagnosis and treatment options at his appointment next week. I've been praying for guidance for the doctors and relief for him and appreciate every person who thinks of him. Oh no. I didn't realize he still does not have a diagnosis. How frightening and frustrating. You are both in my prayers.

Prayers and good thoughts to all those who are needing them.
If you could add my friend Chuck's little sister Christy to the list, I know he and his family (including her 3 kids) would appreciate it. She is in ICU - not sure exactly what happened, but her kidneys shut down and her liver enzymes are high, pulmonary edema, and she coded yesterday but they got her back. She's fighting but she's in really bad shape. Good news is they were able to take her off one of the pressors. They've gotten a lot of fluid off with dialysis, but they had to slow it down so as not to drop her BP.
And toss a little one my way too if you can because this is how my DH died (I had to close the laptop when I saw her hospital room photo with all the machines because it looked just like his).

Yes, my mother and her recovery from the Whipple procedure. She had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Thank you freebird. The Whipple surgery was successful for my MIL. She is a 27 year pancreatic cancer survivor. Hoping for the same for your mother.
