Actually I think I'm going to switch to digital projects going forward. I just don't think I could do this, even tho it makes so much sense. 1. The buying, the paper, the physical product, it gives me so much joy. 2. I hate sitting at the computer - even when I'm doing an "enjoyable" project I find that constant position uncomfortable. And I don't CHANGE position as often as I do when I'm physically scrapping, I "push through", "just one more"... 3. I also think I would never get pages printed, which would mean that my family never saw them. 4. I hate paying money for digital product (I'm a product of the 80s myself so wasn't brought up on downloadable content!) even though I know it's worth it... <iframe width="24.579999999999927" height="6.680000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.579999999999927px; height: 6.680000000000007px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_11623187" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.579999999999927" height="6.680000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.58px; height: 6.68px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1168px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_57325193" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.579999999999927" height="6.680000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.58px; height: 6.68px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 272px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_55514419" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.579999999999927" height="6.680000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.58px; height: 6.68px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1168px; top: 272px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_14747455" scrolling="no"></iframe> I definitely know what you mean. If I didn't make 300+ Christmas cards (and a few hundred other cards) every year I would feel like I was missing out on the pretty paper fun! But my scrapping style tends towards unembellished photos - I have to push myself to add the pretties onto photo pages - so photobooks suit me quite well. I have a smashbook-style journal for ephemera and messy stuff, but even that turns out super simple. I already make photobooks at the end of the year so printing another one with my December pages will fit right in with my process, I think. And no one in my family actually looks at my albums... I don't have kids and my husband is much more likely to page through a photobook from blurb than my crazy Christmas album. It will be interesting to see if I feel the same way about working on the computer when I sit down and start doing it. Computer stuff definitely can feel more like work (even though my "job" is actually cardmaking, so sometimes sticking things to paper feels like work too!) I also wonder if I'll feel like I really scrapped my photos - I did a couple of digital collage pages in my Christmas album this year and I kept feeling like I hadn't put those pictures into my album. We'll see ! This year I basically didn't scrap at all - just the smashbook and the December album, so doing digital for me might actually be the difference between doing something with my thousands of photos and doing nothing.

Progress has been made! DH has his shelving up and after painting the trim the big move can commence! His space will be finished ( minus the needed trip to ikea) but now I'm left to start the whole process over again with paint and reorganizing my part of the basement. I decided to paint because all of his old shelving will come down and there will be nothing in the walls so it's easier to do it now. It just means I'm set back one more weekend. Meanwhile I've been all over pinterest getting ideas on a shared space but everything is always white! My scrap furniture is dark (which I love!) But if I want to add any of the IKEA pieces that I like they only come in white. Should you mix furniture colors?

I’m not one to keep a ton of 12x12 scrapbook paper around but my current letter tray system isn’t working for me. The sorting by color is ok, but the letter tray gets messy and I can’t see the papers.
I’m wondering if I should switch to keeping them in a file folder box.

My Christmas stuff has been stored away until Christmas card making in October. I actually could probably go a year WITHOUT making cards, as I have lots I have made but not sent out, but what would be the fun of THAT?
Thought I might get back into scrapping once my Christmas tree & decorations were stored downstairs and all the Christmas scrappy goodness was put away, BUT--
--I purchased a Brother label maker and a couple of extra ribbon cartridges with an M's gc I received for Christmas. No idea how to use it, and didn't realize it needed AAA batteries before I brought it home. If I remember to get the batteries tomorrow I may give it a go over the weekend.
--One of the projects I wanted to move on to was a farm 2-page kit I picked up from a class I couldn't attend, but now I started looking for the photos I wanted to put on those pages, I realize I didn't print them in the right sizes, so I will need to print some of those when I am in town tomorrow too.
--I have everything I need--I think--to start working on some canvasses with photographers' photos, and I really need to make a bd card for dh in the next couple of days, but after the frustration of not being able to do the farm pages my mojo has taken a coffee break.
Sigh... Maybe Saturday...

All settled in and ready to scrapbook at my 4 day retreat after a very long slow drive because of snow. It’s supposed to be very cold the next few days, (-18 degrees tomorrow) perfect crafting weather. So looking forward to this “me” time and hopefully getting a lot done.

I just brought up some more stuff from the scraproom in hopes of getting something done today. I’m so tired of stress getting in the way of scrappy time...I have a lot I’d like to do!!

Funny I was just going looking for this thread. And there it was.
The yardsale I'm in is this weekend. I have to go thru and price stuff tonite. It's Sunday and my friend is going to help me out.
I worked on my rooms last weekend. Did a lot , a lot still needs to be done but it's getting there.
I got stuff prepped for art journal class. Still need to make my ATC. Theme is distress oxide. I have an idea just need to execute.
My mom is home from Florida and I need to go pick up the Amazon order I shipped to her. She lives an hr away and in don't like going up there. But I want my stuff.
I had a nice time in my scraproom last weekend. Even though I wasn't doing fun stuff I still had a good time. I got a tv in there now I put on a show and let it play thru the episodes. It was just nice to be surrounded by fun stuff.
I pulled out stuff for the yardsale. I have what was left over from the one in August I did. I was limited in space then so didn't take everything I had in mind to get rid of. This time I have added punches. All those Martha Stewart punches the borders and the corner punches we all had to have. Yeah. Those. Also the blue border punches. And any punches that are not lever punches.
My chameleon markers. They were a gift , I have copics I don't need the chameleon. My koi brush markers. Don't like them.
A lot of stamps. Just thought of a couple crop bags I don't use.
My stuff in August was priced well I was told and especially compared to others. My stuff was priced to move. I did $350 in August. I'm hoping for that,. Have to really see what I have pulled.
