I didn't like the winning look at all last night. Looked like a dominatrix or something. I did agree with who went home. I was waiting for someone to shout out that he glued his lace but alas, no drama. Maybe next week.

That winning design is a “nip slip” in the making!!!! I liked the lattice work, but not much else. Just not me. I liked Dimetri’s design.
So next week looks like a little designer duke out! I don’t know who will win, but I loved the shoulders of Michelle’s look! I’m actually excited to watch for the 1st time this season!

Anyone else having a hard time looking at Georgina? I think she should still be laying low. Ugh.

Anyone else having a hard time looking at Georgina? I think she should still be laying low. Ugh. For me she's the most refreshing one on the show. She looks beautiful and is always well put-together. I've got a lot of admiration for her. I loved Alyssa's dress for the runway. Some of those looks were great and some were . I'm always shocked when the looks that resemble first grade art projects are spoken highly of, while the looks that required detailed design/sewing skills are rejected. I know I know, it's not a sewing show, but still. They should be able to produce something that is appropriate and flattering.

The lattice work was beautiful, but it looked like you could see a purple thong from the side. How is that ok? Irina’s look was gorgeous. Who cares that it’s the same hem length as past challenges? Shouldn’t each challenge stand on its own? And I’m sorry, but that one shouldered gown had Dynasty written all over it. It was beautiful, but dated IMO.

I liked both the Aussies this week. I think the overall idea of the cream one was great, although with the time constraints it wasn't as well executed as it could be...but I've said in past threads I don't think this show needs to be "project seamstress". They only get one day then I don't think the sewing etc needs to be perfect, it should be judged on the overall design aspect and how it looks. I think the right 3 were in the bottom. I wonder how much Jasper's quote had to do with him going home? When he first said it I actually made a face...lol, so I was happy that one of them said you can leave out the man and just have the strong women. She was right, a very tone deaf comment to make in the current climate and with Georgina there.
I've never liked Michelle's personality and carrying on about a tiny cut like that just reinforced it...even the first aid guy sai it was just "a small amount of blood" but she was acting as if it was a major injury.

I did not agree with the judges about the winning look. It was alright, nothing more. Did they not see how it was so ill fitting over her breasts? Breasts, what breasts? The corset flatten her so much it looked like she had no breasts at all. I loved Biddel's look. It had lots of details and fit the model perfectly. He should have been in the top three instead of Dimitry. I also loved the yellow and grey dress. It was so flattering and classy looking.

That takes absolutely no talent.

Anyone watch this week's show?
I agree that the losing design was ugly but, I thought for sure Django was going home. I actually liked the grey checkered pantsuit. It really hit the mark as far as having the giraffe as inspiration. The model looked really tall and lean. Even her hair had little "ears". He should have been safe.
To me, some of the designs that were safe should have been in the top 3. That leather dress with the long "tail" in the back was so well made and you could tell right away the designer chose the alligator. I also thought Biddel's look was sexy. I loved the back of his dress.
Whoever designed Alyssa's dress should be sent packing. She looked like she came straight out of the Flinstones.
I'm looking forward to next week's challenge. The runway looks promising.
Any thoughts?

I loved Anthony Ryan's pant suit.
I think you can tell all these designers were winners in their season. The designs are so much better than normal.
I usually like the safe ones too, but I think the designs are all so good that the judges have a hard time. It's not that the safe ones are bad, just not the top 3.

I was shocked Django did not go home. I thought his design was worse than the design that did go home and it did not seem inspired by a lion at all.

I loved Michelle's dress and thought she deserved the win, in spite of people thinking she was "inspired" by Dimitry's designs. I also loved Anthony Ryan's outfit and he deserved to be in the top 3 as well. The challenge was to design a look for a WILD night out. And Anthony's look didn't strike me as a Wild Night Out look but Michelle's look nailed it. I am not sure about Dimitry's -- I liked it but didn't love it.
As for the 3 bad designs, I liked Sean's giraffe look at first but agree fabric choice wasn't the best. And Julie's look wasn't that "wild" and Django's was ugly but at least it was out there and strange vs safe. SO maybe they felt he would come up with more crazy original designs while Julie's looks would be more "ready to wear" safe and not what this Design competition show wants....

Loved Michelle’s dress. Thought the drama was stupid. I also loved Sean’s grey pantsuit. Not quite sure why they didn’t. The girl who designed the alligator dress deserved to be in the top....much more than Dimetry did.
Have to say they gave Dimetry a hard time about doing the same look as his first win. Why was nothing said to Sean when his first dress had tassels on it. Most of those designers find their lane and stay in it. Why give one designer a hard time and not the rest?
Django needed to go home

That drama saying Michelle copied Dimitry was so darn fake to me. They have had different versions of a geometric cut-out dress every single season by at least one designer. Plus I didn't think her dress looked anything like Dimitry's. I don't even like Michelle, but I don't think she copied anything. Then when Mizrahi commented too? That just sealed the faux drama for me.
I actually didn't like the winning design at all and thought others had much more creativity while keeping with similarities to their animal. I'm so bad with names, but I really loved the alligator dress, jaguar one was sooo well made and then I actually really liked the owl one too. If I was tall, I would totally buy the owl outfit!

I agree that the lion-(not)inspired dress should have gone home. He was told not to use the green but did it anyway, and then his dress was nothing.
I liked Alyssa's hair *thud*

I really like Dmitry but I think he was pissed when it seemed like Michelle did Dmitry better than Dmitry does. Django should have gone home for sure.

I was shocked Django did not go home. I thought his design was worse than the design that did go home and it did not seem inspired by a lion at all. I wish someone had asked him what part of the dress was lion inspired. IMHO, he didn't come close to meeting the challenge and I wish they'd called him on it.

I just kept thinking there was no way you would ever be able to go pee in that outfit! And I agree, nothing looked lion to me, but I also didn’t see a porcupine in Michelle’s dress. So what do I know? 😄

I miss when the judges look at the outfits up close with Tim. I think that gave them the opportunity to really judge them instead of just seeing them on a runway.

I loved when they took a closer look. Who's excited to see the new Project Runway premiere on Bravo with Christian Siriano hosting along with Karlie Kloss (model)... I will miss Heidi and Tim but glad Nina Garcia is returning...

However, if he turns into a Mondo with an ego maniac personality I will be tuning right out!!! I loved Mondo...... and now can’t stand him!

I think the judges got it right tonight. Liked the winning dress. It was past time for Anya to go. She obviously can’t sew and proved that tonight. She was lucky some of the designers helped her or she wouldn’t have had anything on the runway.

There were only 2 looks I didn’t care for tonight. Michelle & Anya (areola, anyone??).
I loved the idea of the winning look but the top didn’t seem to sew up well. It looks stiff & awkward from a fabric standpoint, especially the belt. I don’t disagree with the win, though. It’s a beautiful gown.

I’m glad Sean won. He had a good look and he’s one of my favorite people on PR. I’m also glad Anya is gone but impressed that she admitted to the judges that she had a lot of help.

I didn't like Sean's gown at all. Yawn - more fringe. I thought the top looked way to overworked for such a basic fringe skirt. I thought Irena's was the best by a mile (and I often don't like her designs) I could definitely see that as an Oscar dress. I thought Michelle's was ugly. It looks like Dmitri going to do that cut out thing on all his dresses this season.
I didn't like Anya's look and I think it was the right one to go this week, but in general I do like her and I'm not bothered by her lack of sewing ability. I think she does lovely casual dresses, which are perfect for her 'brand' but she doesn't really stretch herself creatively like this show requires. Classy exit though.

I loved Sean's winning design. The colour was so pretty and I loved the fringe. Anthony Ryan's was different and, I thought, really nice. So was the all white look. Anya's dress deserved to send her home. How could you do anything with your hands in sleeves that long? I didn't care for Michelle's, or Django's, dresses. I'm surprised the judges haven't called out Dimitri on his similar looks week after week.
Avant-garde looks next week. Can't wait to see what they all come up with.

What did you think about the Avant-garde Challenge?
Hands down Django needed to go home and so glad he did! He just didn't seem to want to be there and he wasn't open to hearing criticism. If he had been receptive to the feedback offered from Anna, he could have made changes. His look was not interesting and did not look fashionable at all. Sean's look was equally bad.
It wasn't much of an Unconventional Challenge overall -- I didn't feel like there were that many surprises or show stoppers. But I did love Anthony Ryan's look and Michelle's look surprisingly. Anthony's was fun and looked great on the runway and Michelle did a great job with that foam carpet roll, the fact she had something presentable to walk down the runway and that looked like a dress using that fabric, I have to give it to her. Plus, I liked her idea of the "sensory depravation". Anthony and Michelle's looks were whimsical and fun.
