Booth and Bones. The way Booth would look at Bones. He was such a good actor. He looked like he loved her. I believed it

Not my idea of a great love story. A gay man and a straight woman who had a brief relationship before he came out. Great friendship; sure.
I'll go with Jim and Pam.

You don't think they love each other?
Despite both of them having various relationships, they always end up back living together...because no-one else can give them what they have in each other. In their storyline, they met in college and here they are still together in their 50s (if you edit out the final season episode) They both have their faults and fight yet always forgive and stay together. They are each other's best friend and always there for the good and the bad times, they support each other, they fight, they laugh, they have fun. That's more than a friendship.
Sex isn't the defining characteristic of a love story - plenty of good ones don't involve sexual intercourse.

Josh & Donna and also CJ & Danny on The West Wing Loved CJ & Danny and was so happy their storyline came back around! Never got Josh & Donna at the end there. No votes for Buffy and Angel yet? 😂 I think I was the only one who liked Riley. I haven’t seen the show in ages...did this actually come to pass? I know fans shipped them for ages!

Oh there were some mentioned that I knew I would forget...
As I started this post, I said Jim and Pam... And I think because they are my favorite, we could watch it unfold from beginning to end. The looks they would give us, the ups and downs.. all of it makes me love their story.
Other ones that were mentioned Charles and Caroline.. YES.. although they were already married.. you could just feel their love (and man oh man Charles was such a hottie... hahaha)
Hart to Hart.. another YES.. again already together but like Charles and Caroline they just had such great chemistry. (and I thought Robert Wagner was a hottie as well)
I have a thing for older men apparently.
Jack and Rebecca.. (This is Us).. oh yeah.. almost forgot about them.. love them too!!
The whole Luke and Laura thing... I didn't get into the show when the rape thing happened so for YEARS I never even knew about it. If it was mentioned on the show, apparently I didn't pick up on it. I loved the 'story' I guess after that.. but yeah, kinda sickening to think about it now. Which brings me to:
Felicia and Frisco..for a silly soap opera drama.. I LOVED them and the story line..which is funny because they got married in real life, got divorced and then they were on When Calls the Heart together recently. So apparently they get along in real life. Also which reminds me of Jack and Elizabeth's story (which also makes me a little mad.. .but I won't spoil)

Hart to Hart - Jonathan and Jennifer. Made this teenage girl swoon 😍
Mad about you - Paul and Jamie until it got stupid
Madame Secretary - Elizabeth and Henry. I haven’t watched this show in 3 years (haven’t watched much TV at all) but I absolutely love their relationship. I think maybe I’ll start watching again.

Tammy and Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights. I was going to say this! I love their very normal, but a bit rare, relationship. I think they set a great example for viewers of the show.

I can't remember their names, but on the show Coach (with Craig T. Nelson) I always got a kick out of his relationship with the pretty newscaster.

Christine - they also tried to have a kid at the end, and couldn't so she had a serrogate. I really liked her. They show it on the retro channel at night now. Oh someone mentioned Fuller House, but I'd go with Full House Jessie and Rebecca

Another Jim & Pam fan...and I'll throw in Michael and sweet Holly Flax. I loved them together, and his proposal scene with the million candles and the fire sprinklers going off all around them had me sobbing it was so sweet. That scene got to me as much as Jim and Pam's wedding.
I'll chime in on the Luke and Laura controversy. I was in HS when the show was airing. If I recall correctly the whole rape/Scotty Baldwin love story was about a year or two before the Luke and Laura romance started. Most of us were in school during the day for that story line and it was the days before VHS and DVR.
Lots of other stuff was going on and IDK at what point the writers decided to change Luke's character from a bad guy to a good one, but they did. He had a sister Jackie who was loveable and the two of them together worked as well. The character personality switch wasn't unusual. I remember there was a really bad pimp named Marco and they made him likable after a while too. As a soap fan you just rolled with it. An actor would quit, there'd be a new one to replace the same character.
Once they reworked Luke's character they started the romance story between him and Laura. They barely mentioned the rape at all, pretty much they just wanted us to forget it had happened. The romance took off during the summer hours where again, those of us missed the actual rape story line just disregarded it. Luke was sticking his tongue down Laura's face and we were all hooked. Never mind that he wasn't even good looking. Those scenes were hot and everyone was signing "I just can't cope, without my soap!"
It was campy and fun and really, it wasn't that deep for most of us.

Oh my gosh, how can I forget Michael and Holly.. YES. Yeah I agree, because how soaps roll, the writer's just changed up and hoping we would forget.. but it will be there forever now with technology. If you just followed the 'romance' part it was good. Although I never understood why everyone thought Luke was the end of all end for good looking. Even then I was like 'what does she see in him?' I had a thing for Scorpio!! Or Dr. Noah Drake!!! OF COURSE... or Blackie!! Yummy..

They barely mentioned the rape at all, pretty much they just wanted us to forget it had happened. That's the point - they showed a rape scene, Laura saying "no no no" and then cowering on the floor with torn clothes and crawling away from her attacker - and you were just meant to forget it and turn it into a "seduction" instead? And they expected all the women who watched to just accept that...and you did? It wasn't "barely mentioned" though, there was even rape theme music and rape counselling. They played the song "Rise" during the rape and it became a hit. I didn't know that until just now - makes it even worse.
Really "the story no-one wants to tell is the devastation of the rapist"?? OMFG. Can't say that "story" (i.e. excuse) has ever concerned me for one second.
The part that really sickens me is the re-writing of history and the fact that despite seeing a rape that this couple "resonated with viewers" That's pretty warped considering the viewing audience of soaps at that time was predominantly women. I didn't buy into the rape rebranded as seduction after seeing that scene in my 20s and I struggle to understand how others could (& still can apparently)
I'm not laying the blame solely at the feet of GH but it's this show, and many others like it and the attitude that "no no no" and crying and pulling away is merely a suggestion on the woman's part, and that men should go ahead anyway because that's how 'seduction' works. This is why we ended up with so many women being date raped in the proceeding years and why so many women were not believed when they reported it.

I was too young for Luke and Laura but Loved Sonny & Brenda on GH as a teenager, who are also very problematic now that I'm a grownup. Ross & Rachel (Friends) Mark & Lexi (Grey's Anatomy) Barney & Robin (How I met your mother) Penny & Lenard (Big Bang Theory) Hook & Emma (Once Upon a Time)
