Thanks for the links Chinagirl828 Her video tutorial on ribbon flowers popped up for me too, think I’ll finally get rid of the ribbon I’ve been hoarding 👍

I skipped over the big winter sales in France despite being almost completely out of pattern paper after making my December album. I just want to hold out for what I *really* want intead of buying paper half the price off because it's available. So, I'm just patiently waiting for Crate Paper's Sunny Days to be released to spend my (very limited) winter scrappy budget. I'm also staying away from buying any new photo templates or digi stuff at the moment.
Anyone else have a Scrap/Crafts category in their spending/budgeting app? Tracking every cent of what I spent last year really put things even more in perspective and makes it that much easier now to focus on less. Highly recommend one of those free apps if you're trying to watch your spending and/or increase your monthly savings.

I really want the Crate Paper Sunny Days also. Perfect for my trips to the beach and living in Florida, but also Hawaii in May. I am afraid it will sell out - this has happened to me with Crate Paper stuff sometimes when I waited and I never found it (black and white stripe bows from Carousel and Fa La La La 12x12 chipboard are 2 examples). I am wondering if it would be cheating on my freeze, if I asked my husband to buy me some for Valentine's Day.
Edited it to add: I downloaded the EveryDollar app and starting to use it this month. And getting back on Dave Ramsey's financial plan again - which helped us so much in the past, but we did not stay on it the last 6 months good at all.
ETA: I think it would be cheating on my freeze asking for it for a gift. So, I’m not gonna do it. Gonna stay frozen uuntil June 1, 2019. Hopefully. That’s the plan! 😉

I did just place an order with scrapbook.com for some page protectors and some paper for DS school album. So nothing that fell into the "just because" category. I did forget to include black cardstock that I just ran out of....grrrr!

I haven't purchased anything yet this year. I did order photos that I had edited from our trip to Vietnam (I plan to make an album or two with them). I am using a Crate Paper Collection at the moment and realized that I am basically out of white and craft cardstock. I have a rule that I am allowed to buy things like cardstock, glue, adhesive, or trimmer blades if I need them.

I've been frozen since Dec 24th. It certainly helped that I've been on vacation with no cell service and limited internet access for the past two weeks!
With only 13 days left I think I can make it to the end of the month.
I've committed to making 10 Christmas cards per month this year and I plan to get in my craft room and make 10 tomorrow.

I was very spendy between Christmas and New Years, and after I did a quick Jan 3rd order from Stampin Up, now I am in the freezer until Creating Keepsakes convention in early April is St. Louis. Added a countdown widget to my phone to help remind me.

I've committed to making 10 Christmas cards per month this year I talked about doing that too... and now it's two-thirds of the way through January and have I made a plan to actually do that? Nope. Thanks for the reminder! I have some printable cards that I didn't get to use last year so at the very least I should print 10 of those and assemble them into cards, or assemble my recycled Christmas card fronts into cards. A quick and easy start to the year. So far, I'm working with what I've got pretty successfully. A couple of times I've almost convinced myself that I need more of certain papers to be able to use up all of the die cuts I have (I'm making Valentines) but I keep gently reminding myself that I can do that when I actually *run out of* the supplies I have and not before. Truth is, I have plenty to work with on my desk now, and I'm going to figure out a way to make it work with what I have.

I ordered photos and that's it. After moving my scraproom I was reunited with some of the very cool stuff I do have and I purged a ton of supplies. Most went to my library's makerspace and the rest I will be selling. I bought collections and a bunch of papers last fall and never got to them now it's like I got an order in the mail!

So inspirational. Almost caved yesterday telling myself I had nothing to use for valentines which of course was not true. Keeping unsubbed from lots of blogs is the only hope at this point.

I’ve unsubbed from a lot of places too. I think it really does help. Next couple of months will be hard financially with winter heating bills, car registration and tires so really using what I already have is so much less stressful right now. If I can get into the habit of not spending( in other areas as well) , (I’m allowing myself small allowances from time to time), I really think it’ll take the stress off of me. Plus I’d like to save for weekend camping trips and our home projects. I hit those credit cards way too easily 😰. I’ve had fun so far using things I’ve already bought and I think I’m also realizing how much I’ve bought, especially in the last year. I have lots of things I’d like to create and most everything I already have 😊

I stepped into my LSS yesterday but only spent $2 to buy 2 sheets of paper. I'm waiting on an order that I placed in November, but that was out of last year's budget.
I haven't really spent anything from this year's, and I want to leave it alone for as long as I can. I'm sure there will be something I want later in the year.

I've been wanting to stop in at TM and poke around, but so far I have resisted.
The more I dig into my stash and combine old collections, the more I realize I don't need anything.

I stopped at Hobby Lobby yesterday to buy the black cardstock I ran out of and forgot to include in an online order. Well I did look around a little bit, but in the end only bought the cardstock I went in for.

I haven't spent anything and am finally starting to scrap again. I think my scrapping mojo was tied to the shopping. So when the shopping stopped, so did the crafting. I did go HL yesterday and walked out with nothing except a Ragnarok Hulk funco lol.
I will need some albums this year and I will get them at HL when they are half off. I have 2 GC's that are starting to burn a hole in my pocket, but there is honestly nothing I need, and one of my goals with the freeze is to stop shopping to shop. The GC's can be used anywhere so maybe I should treat myself to something not SB related.

I definitely need to be frozen for a few months. Have done quite a bit of shopping recently and still have SB kits from my subscriber days to use up. Plus I’m having a couple of expensive months with house and other expenses. I need to use some of the stuff I’ve already bought rather than just buying more!

I've been watching Jen Schow's youtube videos on using stash this week which has me pretty motivated to dig into all the wonderful things I own. I won't lie, I will be tempted by the new things coming out of creativation, but I'm hoping to stay strong. That’s a good idea Chinagirl828.

I think I need to stop watching Jennifer McGuire videos LOL. She’s the one who usually tempts me into something! Oh yeah. She's very good at what she does - both cardmaking and selling stuff for people! I try only to watch when she's showing items I already own, but that's hard because she includes so many products in each video. I've almost completely stopped watching her and Vicki P lately. I've watched some of the Jen Schow videos which don't trigger me to buy at all (so far). Not seeing stuff getting used helps me not think about shopping. As does being really busy making stuff with supplies I already own!

Yep I track all my spending including craft stuff and have a budget amount. It can be sobering at times!! And that, ladies and gents, is a euphemism. I literally gasp sometimes when I fill in my daily spendings and check my general budget. I've had a few times where I just had to go to my Amazon account and cancel an order because a basic (free) money management app put things into perspective.

I'm not officially refrigerated or frozen but I just did a clean out of my DD supplies (and I also had to do inventory of my craft business supplies - UGH!) and yeah, I don't need to do any shopping. I have plenty of stuff to work with. I just found a die that I barely even remember buying and have never used. I don't have very many dies, so I see that as a clear sign that I've been buying too much stuff that I don't need. As part of my OLW this year I'm part of a Fbk group for what's being called a "Depth Year." The basic idea is that we have plenty of books, hobbies, and other things in our lives that we've barely scratched the surface of. We tend to dip into things and then jump into something else, and then something else, on and on... So what if we went deep with the things we've already started? (these blogs posts explain it better than I can - recent one, original one) So that's the mindset I'm trying to cultivate. I bought tons of distress oxide inks last year, and I've used them a fair bit, but have I really gone deep with them? used them to their fullest potential? tried all the techniques I said I "needed" them for? It's an interesting challenge to my ideas about creativity and inspiration, which seem to tend towards being shallow and jumping from idea to idea as the mood takes me. This is very helpful. I need a boost to go in this direction this year. It helps to have some support in the process.

Well I made it through January without spending a dime. I think the only time I have ever done that is when I'm not scrapping at all. And while I haven't scrapped much, at least I did get a couple simple things done. I'm hoping to get more pages done this month so I can start seeing a tiny dent.
