Night owl. Gotta get work outta the way before I can scrap.
Bulky pages or flat?

More bulky than flat.
Would you rather prepare kits ahead of time, or keep your options open right up until you create a page?

I am not good at planning so it has to be keep options open.
To stamp or not to stamp on your layouts?

Stamp on my layouts when that is an option! But I was a stamper before I was a scrapper!
Would you rather use ribbon or washi tape?

Washi. I struggled using ribbon.

I think I'll go with matted - I like the contrast/focus on the photo it gives.
would you rather tear a paper edge, or punch a paper edge?

Hmmmm...hard because I like both ...but I’ll go with punch!
Single or multi photos layouts?

Tough choice - I do both.
single......more room for journaling and telling the story.
Distressed edges or plain smooth edges
Post by chances on Jan 9, 2019 13:45:54 GMT
Definitely smooth edges if I could only have one. Would you rather only be able to journal one *word* or one *page* ?
Post by grammadee on Jan 9, 2019 14:59:52 GMT
I am pretty wordy, so I guess I have to choose the page option!
Would you rather scrap action shots or posed ones?

Post by scrapcat on Jan 9, 2019 16:34:27 GMT
Def action shots!
Would you rather keep negatives from die cut shapes for future use or get rid of them to reduce stash/clutter?

Would you rather keep negatives from die cut shapes for future use or get rid of them to reduce stash/clutter? A hoarder like me? How could I throw them away? And I am always intrigued by what I could DO with them! Keep, for sure! Would you rather scrap with only cardstock or only patterned paper?
Post by lasteve1 on Jan 9, 2019 17:29:05 GMT
Cardstock, I could always decorate it with paint, etc. but I couldn't unbusy patterned paper.
Would you rather your pages always be inside page protectors or always outside page protectors?
Post by crystalb on Jan 9, 2019 17:37:57 GMT
Always inside, I could cut them if I needed something outside of them but not vice versa!
Would you rather only be able to use 4X6 photos or only other size photos for ALL your photos?
Post by crimsoncat05 on Jan 9, 2019 17:45:17 GMT
I'll play!
that's a tough choice, but I take a lot of landscape / outdoor shots, so for ALL photos I'll say only 4x6 photos. And since I do double-page layouts, I have plenty of room for them.
which leads to my question:
only single-page or only double-page layouts?

Only single page (unless I have a ton of photos for an event!).
Inking all the edges or not inking edges?
Post by crystalb on Jan 9, 2019 18:22:17 GMT
Oh that is a good one. I will have to go with NOT inking since that is the majority and I can always draw on the ones I want a little somethin' somethin' on!
Would you rather only scrap by candlelight or flashlight if you had to?
Post by jameynz on Jan 9, 2019 18:44:10 GMT
Flashlight - knowing me, I would knock over the candle, and the whole room would go up in flames.....

Glitter paper - less likely to find the glitter in odd places!
Only rounded corners or straight corners?

Straight corners, for sure.

Enamel dots. I use both, but sequins have a fancy/sparkly feel to them that doesn't work well on some pages.
Use gold on the next 10 layouts, or use silver on the next 10 layouts?
Post by crimsoncat05 on Jan 9, 2019 22:12:56 GMT
I am more of a silver person... it seems to go better with layouts about the Southwest, lol.
Next: Straight photos, or tilted/wonky photos? I have a really tough time tilting photos.

Post by catseatcheese on Jan 9, 2019 22:21:15 GMT
Gold. I would actually prefer silver but I have an issue where most of the products that have come out in the last several years have gold accent. If and when I get one with silver then I am super happy and use silver splatters as well.
If you had to choose between never "popping up" anything on a page (with foam dots, sheets of foam, foam tape, ect) or with never using enamel dots again....which would you pick?

I’ll answer both questions. Seems like you both were posting at the same time straight photos. I have trouble tilting them sometimes but it does stop me? I just prefer straight. If I never had to pop something on the page that would be fine with me. The only time is use those foam thingys is on cards. I’d prefer the enamel dots! Could not give those up! Hmmm... what hasn’t been asked? Are you an event scrapper or an everyday life scrapper?

Event scrapper. I seem to find more inspiration with that theme than with everyday stuff, even though I take everyday photos!
Messy work space or clean work space?
Post by crimsoncat05 on Jan 10, 2019 1:14:39 GMT
event style, definitely!! (I tried PL-style scrapbooking and made it partway through 2012... never made it through the first month, IIRC. I also started working on monthly layouts in 2016 and 2017; never finished those, either.)
If you ALWAYS had to do it-- would you rather:
design layouts from scratch? or use sketches as starting points?
Post by crimsoncat05 on Jan 10, 2019 1:15:43 GMT
whoops- we're posting at the same time again-- lol!! MESSY scrapper, definitely!! no matter how large my work space is, I always end up working in only 12x12 inches (or less). If I HAD to keep my workspace neat in order to craft, I'd probably never craft again. If you ALWAYS had to do it-- would you rather: design layouts from scratch? or use sketches as starting points?

Definitely sketches as starting points. Would you rather have an hour every day to scrap OR a day every week?

*excellent* question! I'd rather a day a week. I don't scrap well in "short" blocks of time, I'm just focussing on what's next rather than settling in and finding my groove.
Would you rather: watercoloured patterned paper, or high contrast grid/stripe paper?
Post by artisticscrapper on Jan 10, 2019 2:40:41 GMT
I’d definitely go with watercolored. So pretty.
Large stash with many choices or small stash with fewer choices?
