This is my FAVORITE thing I got in 2018. While I don't use her to actually scrap, she is my scrapping buddy and I have tons of pictures of her to scrap.

Would you mind sharing some of the Instagram accounts you follow, especially from Japan? Thanks! I think this was directed at me, since I was the one who mentioned Japanese scrapbookers-- here's a few of the Japanese instagram scrappers I follow. They're all Creative Memories advisers, so their style is different than the typical "layers of patterned paper and tons of embellishment" scrapping that's trendy in the US, but I enjoy seeing their page layouts, and the ways they use border punches and other limited supplies to make their own embellishments. Instagram user names: @ayako.mikannattulego @naomickey.sb @crop.tauko @takako_albumlove @miyuki.shinozuka @sachisuchi @nonmomoken Basically what I did is search Instagram and Pinterest for the hashtag #creativememoriesjapan to see what came up. A number of these JP CM advisers also have blogs, too- I think stumbling onto a Japanese SB blog is how I found the instagram accounts, actually. I sometimes use Google translate to read the English translation, of the post / comments but it's sometimes a bit difficult to read, what with the difference in sentence structure, etc. And it's not really necessary if I only want to see page layouts for the inspiration. (I originally started reading the blogs of several Japanese Sheltie owners. They seriously PAMPER their dogs, and I love anything Sheltie-related, so I can spend a LOT of time on those. From there, I found a few scrapbookers, which led me to Instagram... you know how it is when you go down the Internet rabbit hole, lol.) eta: this is so I don't forget how I got to this topics page: I searched a JP blog site and found the hashtag #Sheltie, which gave me THIS LIST of Japanese Sheltie-related blog posts. And 950nancy , if you feel like going down the Japanese blog rabbit hole, too, they also have a list of blogs related to owning a Corgi when I searched the hashtag#Corgi as well!! LIST of JP Corgi blog posts Perusing the list of Sheltie blogs is going to be tonight's entertainment for me, I think. lol!!

My little corgster has learned that if she throws around her food or water dishes (metal) it will get a reaction from me. I swear I was on mute for half the call trying to get her to behave. She also had to let the squirrels in the back yard know she was not having it and decided to jump on the dining room chair while flipping around the hand towel we use to wipe their wet paws with when they come inside. She knows the dining room chairs are off limits. Sometime around the 1 hour mark, I realized just how damn much I miss my good girl sheltie. She was 95% giant princess (45 pounds) and 5% sneaky thing. I appreciate both of the sites you mentioned and will check them out tomorrow. Tonight I am going to the Friends musical.

Thank you, crimsoncat05! I’ve never used the “Quote” feature and I guess I did not do it correctly. I can’t wait to check those out.

950nancy hands down got the best favorite thing of 2018. She is sooooo cute! Scan'n'Cut Tim Holtz Platform Minc HP OfficeJet 8702 with an InstantInk Subscription I know it's an oldie. I got a Sizzix Texture Boutique. I love it so much. I love to emboss and it's so much easier to grab it to emboss a project instead of using my big Sizzix Vintaj.

I read this and of course now I want a ScanNCut, but since I hardly use my Silhouette, that is probably not going to happen anytime soon.
I didn't get a lot of tools or big things in 2018, but the thing that stands out for me as a hands-down favorite are those tiny foam letter thinkers that are a block capital letter. They came out in rose gold on one side and gold on the other, then one (my favorite) was a navy blue on one side/white on the other, and then the latest one was the rainbow one from the Paige Evans "Whimsical" collection that has rainbow letters on one side and the other side is a sort of pearlescent light pink. I bought quite a few of those and I use them all the time.

My favorite things: 1. Tim Holtz stamp platform- this gave me my love of stamping back. 2. WRMK evolution with the electric motor. My wrist is thanking this.

My list would include my Scan n Cut and Glass Media Mat as well as Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Die, Shadow Box Die, and Pop Up Box Die. I also am loving the distress oxide inks. I really want to get a teflon bone folder but $50 (in Canada) seems too much for me.

My finnabiar silicone brush for using for mixed media. I picked it up at M’s on clearance. It’s so easy to clean.

I bought some Sizzix Fold-Its dies which I love because they are great for making quick & easy cards or multiples - or when you realise you need to get a card in the mail tomorrow. Everything you need is included which I love - or you can just stamp a sentiment on the inside and that's it - all done. I hadn't bought any Sizzix dies for years & I just discovered these Fold-Its dies about 6 months ago. I also bought a different brand of stamping platform to replace my MISTI because it is covered in fractures especially near the hinges & I have no doubt that it will break sometime soon. I am so annoyed because it was very dear to buy in Australia & was obviously one of the early ones that was sold to me that had those same problems that everyone was talking about a while ago I also bought some Mama Elephant dragon stamps/dies which I love as the kids love the TV show/movies: "How to Train your Dragon" and are going to see the latest movie this weekend. Also got the Lawn Fawn 'Beam me Up' stamp set/dies as I am right into aliens & anything to do with space Bought some Alcohol Inks and really enjoyed playing with them. Made several galaxy backgrounds & they turned out really cool. I would insert a picture of it from my laptop but I don't know how.
