I don't mind you asking gillyp. He's still doing the outpatient program. It concludes on Friday. We had a meeting Monday morning and his therapists think he's definitely on the road to wellness. He told me that he's ready to re-enroll in his virtual school next week. His attitude has been wonderful. We've been exercising together. He is on a healthy eating kick. He told me he wants to start attending church. I told him he was welcome to come with me to the Unitarian Church. He said no way, they are a bunch of hippies. I said we could go to the Catholic Church around the corner and he said he's not sure because he doesn't like the Pope's stance on the refugee crisis. So he's thinking about it. Then today he told me his therapy interns are nice people but he thinks they are communists. I got a good laugh about that because this is so his personality. He's back to being fiesty. He's talking a lot which is a huge change for him. I feel very grateful I have my weird, wonderful kid back.

Wonderful update!! It is nice to hear he is joining life again. If you have an Episcopal Church near by, much like Catholic, without the Pope.
I will keep your family in my prayers.

I'm glad to hear that he's doing better! Tell him to try a Methodist church. We are not too hippy and not too strict.😂

Another great update. I sincerely hope that reaching his low point was a turning point for him and it only gets better from here. It would seem to be a really good sign that he's looking to 're-connect' in so many ways.

jeremysgirl Communists! I lol'd at that. I'm so happy he's doing so well. My son is very conservative. Very black and white, linear thinker. I teased him that he needed to take off his tinfoil hat.

If you have an Episcopal Church near by, much like Catholic, without the Pope. I agree with this, if he's looking for the structure of the service (or liturgy as I can hear my mother correcting me) then the Episcopal church will offer that, while being very inclusive. Depending on the congregation and priest, you can find some very liberal or very conservative groups. My ILs go to a very open mega church and while I sat in service respectfully when we visited them, it's not churchy enough for me if that makes sense. I need the tradition of the liturgy. Many others don't, which makes the world go round as they say. I'm so happy to hear your update and that he's coming back to himself.
