Shimelle has a nice look at her new line on Insta stories today. She also shows some layouts and a card. Her last couple of lines haven't been my style though I have been able to use some of the papers b sides.

I really like it, even though I don't need it. She did the same basic walkthrough live on her glittershim Fbk if anyone wants to watch there.
One awesome thing she mentioned it that Sparkle City will go with Head in the Clouds, colorwise. I'm happy to hear that because I haven't had a chance to use the items I bought from Head in the Clouds yet. But some might work better with Sparkle City added into the mix.
I'm really bummed that they left out the 6x6 pad again, and I left a comment on AC's blog to that effect. Without the small prints I find collections tricky to us for card making. Also pretty annoyed that the specialty papers are in the pad, so if you want the b-sides you have to buy the single sheets but if you want the fancy papers you have to buy the pad as well, and end up with a bunch of extra papers that you didn't want. gah!

I love, love, love this line!!! I can't wait to get my hands on all of it. The 6x8 pad looks more usable that the HITC one. I wish she'd do what Dear Lizzy is doing - making the smaller scale prints in 6X8.

lilacgal I agree... I miss the scaled down prints! Has anyone else noticed that none of the collections have 6x6 pads? I haven't seen a single new American Crafts collection with a 6x6 pad. Maybe that size isn't selling anymore?

Maybe that size isn't selling anymore? I've been told that American Crafts is moving away from 6x6 to 6x8. I'm ok with that honestly. I just need some dang small prints in my Shimelle lines!!

lilacgal totally agree! I wish her collections included the writing pad + 6x8 pad with smaller prints.

lilacgal totally agree! I wish her collections included the writing pad + 6x8 pad with smaller prints. She said in a recent video that we need to tell AC what we want (without mentioning that she told us to tell them!). She's also frustrated and missing the smaller prints in her own crafting, but the powers that be seemingly decided that she couldn't have a journaling pad and a small patterned pad. I don't care if they do it 6x6 or 6x8 but I need the scaled down stuff for my crafting.

I have yet to grab HITC and now this one is coming out! Maybe, I will get HITC on sale. I’m actually happy that they pair well together as the foam stickers, sticker book, 6x8 pad and the specialty paper are what I like most. I need to see the B-sides better as I tend to work with her b-sides more than the A-sides. The holographic is amazing especially on the baby blue foam alphas—I need two packs!!!

I am not usually a fan of her collections, although I do love HER. But I really like this! I am quite taken with the holographic papers.

Well...I’ll be the lone dissenter....I don’t like any of it. I like her and her style of scrapbooking with layers and such but I don’t like the aesthetic

I like her and her style of scrapbooking with layers and such but I don’t like the aesthetic I thought that, too, until I saw some of the individual papers. I like a few of them. It's certainly a large collection! I am not a fan of the holographic or lenticular pieces.

I didn't like it at all until I saw the video. Now I'm warming up. But probably not all of it - too much purple! And can I just say...thickers...you give only 4 E's and I'm NOT BUYING THAT SET. I've noticed that AC is putting less product on it's thickers sheets in general these days.

I stupidly ordered the HITC project pad thinking it would include the B-sides I wanted. Lesson learned. I still might be ordering individual papers for this one though.

I think Shimelle did a great job selling it, love that she had demos to show how to use it with her previous line and with the border paper. Having said that, it’s not my style.

This is cool! I adore shimelles workin general with 2 caveats, they tend to be very girlie, and she uses much bigger embellishments than I prefer.

Well...I’ll be the lone dissenter....I don’t like any of it. I like her and her style of scrapbooking with layers and such but I don’t like the aesthetic I could probably get behind the blue holographic letters, but the rest seems really feminine. Powerful feminine, but still feminine. ETA: I know she has to create what sells, but you would think she would design more masculine papers since she scraps her son a lot. I know she says she doesn't care, but I wonder as he grows if that will change.

It struck me in the Scraphappy video, she really knew and loved her line. Some of the other interviews, the "designers" didn't seem to know what products their names were on. I know they don't do the actual designing most of the time, but it made them come off as unprepared and a bit unprofessional. Maybe they were nervous/tired or the collections run together after a while. Trade shows are exhausting, but it made Shimelle really stand out to me. That she loves the products with her name on them and she's passionate about scrapbooking. It's nice to see her so enthusiastic. It made me happy. I also love that this is a city line. I have tons of city pictures since I live & work in a city. Her last several lines weren't for me, but I'm going to grab some of this one.

Shimelle seems like one of the most hands-on designers whose collections and their design, in the words of Marie Kondo, spark joy for her.

I was also very pleased with her choice of Thickers - they're cardboard look on top but with the foam adhesion I prefer. Not to mention, the different color foams!

She designs things that she's excited to use, and excited to show other people how they can use them too. I love that she really knows and loves her own products, even if some of the decisions are not up to her. Her passion is infectious. It makes me happy too.

There's a new Shimelle video up from scrapbook.com showing how Head in the Clouds and Sparkle City coordinate together and showcasing some of the differences between the products for each, especially the project pad vs the paper pad.
