7 inches and counting in Sammamish/Issaquah!
I didn’t believe it would happen and now we have our official first snow day. I even got an email from work asking us to stay home (and that rarely happens!)

We got quite a bit out in Redmond. I have a flight this morning and the drive to the airport was slow and slippery. None of the roads (520 or 405) had been plowed at all (I left home at 4:00 am). Glad you were able to make it to the airport. Hope you can get some rest during your flight.

Snow day! The school district put out a "Do not travel to work" message to all employees. i don't think I've ever seen that.
Still coming down! I think we have about 8 inches of snow.

My son is stationed in Bremerton and I think he said they got 2-3 inches. They had a 2 hour delay to report to the base.

Murphy’s Law. It’s 20-something out. Plus very windy.
My entire (open) main floor is heated by one single vent. The air coming out is not warm and it’s 59 degrees at the thermostat currently. :/ thankfully the one in my bedroom and the one in my office seem to be working fine.
Plus I’ve got appts out of the house today so I can’t get anyone out here. Oh, and wish me luck getting off my hill this morning. Ugh.
I was Looking forward to a winter wonderland today. Reality bites.

It’s cold but not snowing. It’s really windy outside though. I think it’s -4C which is cold for us. Everything here is business as usual.

Well, I didn't think it would happen, but we're going on 6 inches now. When DH left for work this morning, there was only an inch or so. Not sure how he'll fare getting home this evening as we live on a hill on a hill. As I mentioned before, his company does snow removal/de-icing as part of their services (not their main service), so as you can imagine, things are pretty crazy in his office.
The last day of school was already delayed because of a strike at the start of the year, this snow day will take us to June 24! And I have a feeling tomorrow will be a snow day too.

I was up early around 5 am and the light snow had just started, as predicted in Bend, OR. I am subbing today and there looks to be 2-3 inches accumulated 5 hours later. It is supposed to snow all day. The highest temp predicted for the week is Friday at 38. Weather Underground is fairly accurate, also lets me check Air Quality Index in the summer when there are fires. I have another sub day that is a little farther away tomorrow, but I'm sick and the classes are not that well behaved so I may cancel tonight. Unbelievably I do have sick hours accumulated as a sub, so may just use those? Wonder how much we will get here!

We have no snow at all in the Portland metro area, but they got snow on the Oregon coast. You don't see snow on Haystack Rock very often! (photo not mine)

Wow, that picture of the OR coast is beautiful! We are in Eastern WA and got zippo, even though we were supposed to get some. I feel like Seattle stole our snow!

There are about 4 inches in the Renton Highlands right now. Supposed to be more this afternoon. Yay! For snow days!

Yep, also in Eastern WA, we got nothing and it was forecasted to snow all night into the morning. It’s cold though, 20’s all week. Lows in single digits.

I'm in SW Washington, on the coast. We got maybe 2 inches but the roads were clear to go to work this morning. Almost all schools are only on 2 hour delay.

Eastern Washington-the forecast I saw said snow all day Monday. It started about 40 minutes ago-the soft talcum powder snow. Swirling into drifts due to icy winds.

Yeah. I have AWD and brand new all season tires, but I decided to cancel my day. Its mainly concern about winding my way around other accidents trying to get off and then back on the hill. I have no problem driving to the mountains to snowshoe every week or so, but most of those people on the roads are prepared. Not here in the city. Did your DS decide to stay home after all? My ex worked at Boeing for 40 years. He would call out (but able to telecommute) every time a single flake fell. He hates snow. To add insult to injury. One of my cats just got majorly big sick in two places. One off white carpet upstairs and even Folex doesn't want to get it out. Sigh. Sure feels like Monday to me. Going to bundle up in a while (feels like 12 out) and go for a walk to remind myself that I really DO love snow

We just moved here and we quickly learned to not expect snow until you actually see it, LOL! The sun is trying to break through here right now and I do see some blue skies, so I'll believe it when I see it. We are LOVING the snow and was so bummed that we didn't get anything yesterday.

DS decided to call in after he tried to get to the gym (he works second shift) and the roads were a mess. Even the main streets in Mill Creek had not been plowed and cars were everywhere. Said he slid through an intersection. That's what every mom wants to hear! Hope your cat is okay! Enjoy your walk!

Just heard another round of snow is in the forecast for Friday/Saturday and they said, "it's predicted to be worse than this event." And snow is in the forecast on and off all of next week.
I'm thinking about venturing out today. DS(17) drove to school just now. His text was, "Made it, only slightly died." ha ha!

It is beautiful in the PDX adjacent area today! Schools were originally 2 hours late, but ended up calling it all off! I just got back from a lovely walk. There isn’t a lot of snow, but a good inch, and I will take whatever we can get. Roads are icy though, glad I don’t have to drive today.
I know I am being greedy, but fingers crossed we get a bit more! I am super happy for today though, even if this is it.

This is our last week of our six week dog stage race. The sled mushers can run on snow, but most of us scooter runners don’t have sleds. I’m in fourth place in my division and I’m hoping to make the top three! We are a day behind this week because of yesterdays snow so I have some miles to make up still!

I’m in North Bend, WA and we have 10”. Mount Si is absolutely gorgeous!! A local guy who predicts the weather and is pretty accurate is predicting another 8” on Thursday night/Friday morning. Yikes!! I love the snow!!! I’m just hoping if we do get another 8” that the ice on the roads get a chance to melt some more before it does.
