My view is an unpopular one I know. But I worry the Democratic Party will become known as the “rigid intolerant” party. Which could be just as bad or worse then the “old white guy party of NO!” To be honest, the Democratic Party is already at that point. Intolerant is how they are so often described anymore based on the level of intolerance so often displayed by them anymore. Described just that way by people with big voices and big platforms, not just your average person. I’d rather be seen as “rigid intolerant” when it comes to standing up for human rights, against all the lies and corruption that the current administration has been peddling all along. I’d much rather be “rigid intolerant” given that the republicans and conservatives are dishonest, lying, gaslighting, and shady.

Right now I believe the Democratic Party is the party that welcomes all. If the party becomes one of “rigid intorlance” then it will keep setting the bar so high that mere mortals will no longer be welcome. Who should not be welcome are those who knowingly discriminate against others. But before we brand them as such, we should be positive they deserve the label. Otherwise it becomes, in the words of the idiot in the Oval Office, a witch hunt.

You disagree that the right has been saying this? I disagree with this “Absolutely! This is what the Right has been saying for quite a while now.”And I think you knew that. But nice try.

This: "But before we brand them as such, we should be positive they deserve the label. Otherwise it becomes... a witch hunt." absolutely is what the right has been saying for quite a while now. That's a fact.

That's a fact. The only person who uses the term “witch hunt” is trump in reference to the many investigations into his actions before and after he became president. Unlike many, he is actually being investigate, to get all the facts before being found if he’s a crook or not. Personally I think they will get the trump organization/trump for money laundering as there his refusal to share his tax returns and these odd little paths that lead to Russia. Of course he could end up smelling like a rose, which wouldn’t be all that bad because we would know one way or the other, but for someone who claims he is innocent, he sure acts guilty. Again nice try.

Being “rigid intolerant” against those who are promoting the hatred, division and unethical, lying, dishonesty are very, positively deserving of intolerance. The Republicans and conservatives cannot seem to call out their own and hold them accountable (yet have no problem attacking democrats) so those who stand up to that bullshit will be the hero’s that save America.

What about innocent until proven guilty before we start labeling folks is my point.

Again nice try. There is no try. I agreed with you when you said that before you brand someone as racist, you should make sure they're deserving of the label. I also said that the right have been saying that for a very long time. You bringing up Trump and Russia has nothing to do with that.

If it is a part of it now, then yes, I do agree, court wise or public opinion wise.
