I call them chickpeas and garbanzo beans interchangeably.

Only ever chickpea. I’ve never heard the second word before. I’ve heard of garbanzo but only on American TV shows and probably here. I never knew that they were chickpeas.

Steph, the choices are garbanzo, ceci, chickpea
I’ve never heard of ceci and use garbanzo and chickpea interchangeably, but maybe use garbanzo more

Usually chickpeas. Sometimes garbanzo beans. And sometimes we call them "chicken peas," because of an amusing incident in Korea 20 years ago.

We always call them garbanzo beans, but I know that chickpeas means the same thing. I have only heard or seen the word ceci in Italy.
This might be because I live in Southern CA and garbanzo is the name in Spanish.

Garbanzo. Growing up, my Italian next-door neighbor called them ceci.

Formerly, I called them chickpeas. I am officially changing what I call them to ceci, just to see my husband's face when I tell him he's eating chee-chee for dinner.

I knew all three names, but mostly call them garbanzo beans or sometimes chickpeas. I don’t eat them because they are bad for my digestion but I do miss hummus.

Chickpeas if they’re going on my salad. Garbanzo if I’m making hummus.

I use both chickpea and garbanzo. My Italian mother calls them ‘cheech’, obviously a variation on ceci.
