I have been destashing because I just have too much stuff. I have been scrapbooking for 15 years and my style and projects have changed over time so I have a ton of stuff that I hoarded that is just no longer my style, or is more geared towards traditional layouts (so much 12x12 paper) and I really do more pocket pages these days. I feel awful just putting it all in the trash though because lots of it is still good stuff... from brands like Studio Calico, Dear Lizzy, Recollections, and more. I was planning to come on here and offer to send boxes of goodies to people, but I tried pricing out the shipping and it is outrageous... even for US only if I include the 12x12 papers which is the bulk of it. I'd be happy to send a goodie box to anyone who is willing to pay shipping, but I would worry you would be disappointed because shipping is so high! It might be less if I did a package that didn't include 12x12 papers, but I have a ton of those so I was hoping people would want them. Does anyone have any tips/ideas for how to get shipping down? Besides that, does anyone have any ideas for what to do with all the stuff? They're good supplies (although some might be "outdated" trends) but I just can't use them. I also don't have kids that I can give them to to play with or that have schools that I could donate to. ETA: I am going to try sending the flat rate medium sized boxes, they ship for $12.80 in the USA so that's affordable enough for me. I think I have 6 or so, no need to pay shipping. I will just keep filling boxes until I run out of stuff. I just want these to go to a good home where they'll get used Things I have include: 12x12 paper, smaller papers (6x8, etc.), ribbon, dimensional embellishments, stickers, clear acrylic stamps, project life cards, chipboard, washi tape, and cuttlebug dies. The cuttlebug dies are still in the packaging and I have themed ones for: cat, dog, baby, birthday and funky squares. I also have a complete studio calico documenter kit and a scrapbook kit (from different months), they were duplicates of ones I have. If you want a box let me know what type of things you want and I will try to put together a box of goodies that you'll like. Let me know specific themes (e.g. Halloween, vacation, kids) or brands, embellishment types, for what project type, etc. and also what things you don't want. Or if you would prefer to be surprised that's okay too. And if you want cuttlebug dies let me know which ones you want. I would post lists for everything but there's just too much.

You can still donate to schools without having your own kids in them. Nursing homes, hospitals, Goodwill, etc.

You can fit a ton of 12 x 12 paper in a medium flat rate box from USPS (the rectangular boxes) - it should be less than $15 to ship, regardless of weight. You just have to put the paper in on the diagonal.

I was also going to suggest the flat rate box. I would be interested in one actually if you decide to go that route.

mich5481 oooh good idea, I thought the flat rate boxes were all too small to hold it. I will go to the post office a pick up a few boxes and put together boxes for people who want them! babylou I think I'm going to try this, idk how much will fit in a box until i get them to try it, but want to tell me what supplies/styles you like? See my edited post above.

I strongly suggest donating it to gramma for the victims of the Camp Fires in California who lost everything. If paying for postage is an issue I will provide some of the postage for you to send to her.
Anyone else who is destashing please consider this as well. gramma can provide her address.

gramma I will definitely send at least one box your way! I didn't realize you were organizing a collection otherwise I would've reached out to you. I am originally from California and still have family there (none of them were in range of the fires, but some were close enough to have poor air quality from the smoke) so I have been following this tragedy. I would like to help as much as I can. scrapmomof2 would you like any embellishments or just paper? Can you PM me your address? So far I have stacks started for the two of you plus two who PMed me. I have enough to send to everyone who has shown interest so far and will send all the rest to gramma, that will either be one or two boxes likely, but I will keep you updated. gramma I will also put the cuttlebug dies in your pile. I am not sure when I'll make it to the post office to pick up boxes and again to ship them, but I will keep this thread updated. I hope to get them out of here in the next week or so. We are currently in the middle of a snow storm though so I'm not going anywhere for now.

Please let me know if you need postage help. I just sent some to jenr for some PL cards she is sending to gramma. I could send stuff myself but me getting anything together anytime soon won't happen.
gramma I have an online friend who lost everything in the fire but two framed photos that were on a table by her front door. The fire came so quickly she got her 2 dogs and 2 pictures out of a lifetime of possessions and memories. They couldn't even drive away, they were loaded up in emergency vehicles as their homes burned. She doesn't scrap, but knowing the devastation, hopefully many ladies had photos stored online or in the cloud someplace and can actually recapture some of those memories in scrapbooks again.

scrapmomof2 I haven't heard back from you so I'm going to assume you no longer want a box? I will just ship everything left to gramma. I am packing up boxes now and should make it to the post office later this week. myboysnme I would really appreciate help with the postage if you can. I can cover some of it, but it's quite a few boxes and it's actually $14.35 per flat rate box, the $12ish rate that was quoted above is for commercial vendors only. I will update here once I pack up all the boxes with the total, but I think it will be 5?

Update-- gramma I have 5 boxes coming your way--here's a photo (I made sure your address is not visible): The 4 flatter boxes are primarily 12x12 paper, but because it goes in diagonally I added in embellishments in the corners. The top box is full of embellishments, project life cards and stamps. gramma and myboysnme I would really appreciate help with postage if you can. I can send you my PayPal info via PM but post here what you are sending just because I want to make sure I don't collect more than I need! According to the USPS website, these boxes (all medium sized flat rate) are $14.35 to ship each, so it's $71.75 total. I will update this thread once I make it to the post office to ship, which probably won't be until Saturday.

I won't tell you how much I packed up!!
I think the organizer is taking a trip to Paradise this weekend with the first round of donations. I'd give a dime to be there. Thank you so much for helping. I'll keep you updated.

My goodness those boxes have a LOT of stuff in them. Interesting to see that we have made very similar paper choices over time ;-)
Thank you again - these ladies will be very happy
