This is a long weekend in Canada, but retirees don't get long weekends, LOL. But I WILL be home all day every day until Tuesday morning. I am behind in the 28-4-28 challenges for this past week, and I need to start on my sample for this upcoming Friday. Hoping to get some pages done over the next few days.
What are your scrappy plans for this weekend?

Aside from a paper pack I got for Christmas that I haven’t opened yet I have three new ones to play with as well. I went to Tuesday morning today and found a lot of new things! I’ll be scrapping tomorrow and Sunday...I’m probably going to continue with old photos of my kids and do 8 1/2 by 11 pages.

I am working on 12x12 layouts all weekend. It’s rainy and cozy, perfect for staying inside and getting lots done.

I have a 96th birthday card to make for my Great Auntie, and I reeeeeally want to get working on a digi-scrap project I planned for this year. I'm having trouble figuring out how to start. It shouldn't be that hard but this week I've just gotten stuck creatively. I might be able to reset my brain Sat morning and make it happen. I'm going to work on a plan of attack tonight!

I'm hoping to on Monday...I did manage St Patrick's cards today and I'm hoping to get the rest of the photo prints sorted soon.
Tomorrow DD12 has horse riding and then we'll go to a Civil War Battle festival and then she has a cookie booth. Sunday is Mass and another cookie booth. I might get to scrap Sunday afternoon after the booth but ...

I have a 3 day scrapbooking retreat first weekend in March. I really need to figure what I'm going to work on. I'm leaning towards layouts and maybe some art journaling.
I would at least like to pick out a dozen layouts or sketches I like on Pinterest and get my photos figured out so I can make kits up. It's been over a year since I've done layouts and making up kits so I'm a bit rusty!
I did figure out my make and takes for the retreat thankfully. Once my order comes in I'll get the supplies ready for the cards.
I also need to make my dividers/categories for my dies.
If for some crazy reason I get all that done which I might seeing the weather is still crappy then I would like to finish putting the huge stack of photos I got printed in the right order so I can put them in the PL albums page protectors for my kids albums.

What are you doing for your make n takes? Care to share with us? I have started moving my dies into their new home. Have done the easy categories first (Nesting basic shapes/nesting decorative shapes on one slide out; windows/doors on another). I will probably move on to Birthday dies. But not sure what to do with my Word dies. Afraid to take them out of their packaging which shows the word FRONTWORDS and lay them on the board so that they will either read backwords (cut side up) or not at all (cut side down). Will probably need a whole new cube for Christmas dies. Not even touching them yet...

I'm doing 3 cards based on the rooted in nature stamp set from SU it features a set if tree and foliage stamps and dies. Saw some great samples in a video on YT below and doung the card featuring the butterfly gala set featured in the other video. youtu.be/AIxGJuV-KQIyoutu.be/uZfJYaSB-Y8Once I'm done the samples when my order comes in I'll share them. For your word dies you could die cut the words and slip them in the sleeve or on the magnet

Sat down with my husband last night. We both added journaling to the layouts I have been working on and was able to put the pages in an album. It's coming along

I am so excited to make some cards! DH is away, so the kids and I will fit at the kitchen table - I may even drag out the Cricut since I can leave it out on the dining table for a couple of days!

I'm making cards! Just got six birthday cards made for colleagues at work. March is the month we have a LOT of birthdays!
I'm hoping to keep on after going out for dinner and grocery shopping. We will see!

I'm making those things "nobody cares about any more". I'm glad those organizations that care for sick kids, the elderly and animals (among others) still care.

You go, card making ladies!
I made a bunch last week, and am back to doing pages. Got 4 finished today, and caught up on 3 28-4-28 Challenges.

I went to a crop last night and today. I got about 25 baby pages done. While I love having a baby girl to scrap, I realize I have almost filled a second album, and she's only 5 weeks old. She just seems to be changing so much each time I see her, I take a bunch of photos, and then like all of them. At least I am putting 2 or 4 photos on one 4x6 to keep down the number of pages.
The first album is pregnancy, ultrasounds and baby shower, plus her birth and coming home photos.
The Bo Bunny Little Wonders is working perfectly or the woodland animals on many of her outfits.

jacquelinescraps that's cool that your husband is journaling with you. Is that something you do together a lot? Or was it a special page? myboysnme I made photobooks of my nephew and found that as he got older I did slow down a bit. The first 2 weeks were one book, then the first month, then 6 months, and then his first year. They change soooo much in the beginning, but it does ease off after a while. Although a room completely filled with scrapbooks of a lovely baby girl would not be a bad thing! I'm excited that planning actually worked! I wrote myself a to do list with 3 big things to work on and even though I spent the morning doing everything else I needed to finish so I had the space (mental and physical) to get started on the creative stuff, in the afternoon I actually did what was on the list! I made the card for my g-auntie, keeping it simple, setting aside my perfectionism (I figure her 96 yo eyesight is probably not the greatest, and I don't think she's all that sentimental about cards anyway). In progress shot here http://instagram.com/p/Bt9igw3jLVz And then I sat down and started the digital layouts, and although I struggled a bit, I've made a start now, and I can always go back and tweak them once I get into a groove with this approach. I've only ever made photobooks using blurb software, but this time I want to add some digital elements and build them in Photoshop for more control and creative freedom. I finished 2 spreads and started the next one.

I know what you mean about the abundance of photo taking with grandkids but hey Rome wasn't built in a day LOL it sounds like you're having fun scrapping your GD!

Well I have pinned a ton of sketches for my upcoming retreat but as I've mentioned in other posts the past several weeks I've been doing a total re-organization of my scrap room. I've also been replacing storage with IKEA furniture. One thing that was bothering me was I had a small computer desk in my room but I hadn't really been using. At one time before I had a tablet and smart phone I used it a lot in conjunction with my laptop and before we had wireless internet. I had always wanted to move it out but because our lives were on hold for so long I just never got around to it. So today I moved my computer desk out and dis some rearranging and OMG I love it!! As you can see I've replaced the unit with the pink/black and teal canvas containers with a kallax unit. Here are some before and after photos.

Thanks so much I'm feeling a sense of accomplishment! I got them years ago from a farm supply store called UFA. I love them because they are standing height and really sturdy for stamping!

That room looks AWESOME, canadianscrappergirl. Don't think mine could EVER look that organized! I am slowly transferring my dies to the new cabinet, but organizing has never been fun for me. I finished a card today and then shared it and an earlier card in the Gallery, but have yet to link them over to the challenge share thread and add up the points. I am currently working on my sample for Friday's 28-4-28 challenge. Spoiler alert: I am lifting someone who uses Silhouette very effectively, so I spent today finding and cutting things for my LO. Tomorrow I hope to grab the photos and get the whole thing put together. Not sure if I will be able to accomplish anything else.

canadianscrappergirl, your room looks amazing! I need to redo my craft area (including a significant purge), and I just dread it. I'm afraid if I take all my stuff out (Ã la KonMari), it will expand like shave gel turns into foam, and I'll never get it put back! I've made some cards this weekend, and I'm looking forward to doing more tomorrow. Never got the Cricut ouy... Maybe tomorrow.

Then put it back before you take out the next type.

canadianscrappergirl, I love your room! Wow! I was away all weekend, but my Monday will be a SNOW DAY! No work, no errands, no chores, no appointments. I'm going to just see what I can accomplish on the 28-4-28. There's no way I'll get them all done this month, but I want to try to do as many layouts as I can. Still lots to do for my 2018 family album before I can print out any 2019 photos! I hope to see some of you hanging around here tomorrow! It's great to have company

No for me, but I made tons of memories with family at a wedding.
Plus, we spent the day at the beach, while it was snowing at home!

I think the best way to approach it is to first ask yourself how you envision your space. Are there room tours on YT you like or posts on IG or Pinterest you love. I would start with one section of your room and one item at a time such as all your stamps. Have a box near by for the purge stuff. Yeah the konmari method seems crazy I didn't put my stuff in a pile but I did hold each item. I think you also need to think about how you scrapbook/craft. Do you like having like things together/scrap by color or theme. Would you like a die cutting area ETC
