canadianscrappergirl, I love your room! Wow! I was away all weekend, but my Monday will be a SNOW DAY! No work, no errands, no chores, no appointments. I'm going to just see what I can accomplish on the 28-4-28. There's no way I'll get them all done this month, but I want to try to do as many layouts as I can. Still lots to do for my 2018 family album before I can print out any 2019 photos! I hope to see some of you hanging around here tomorrow! It's great to have company TY so much! Hopefully you can get some scrapping done tomorrow! At some point I would love to do a LOAD one month good for you on attempting the 28 4 28!

Love your space canadianscrappergirl ! I'm happy to have had some extra time off this weekend too. I did a major clean of my house and the last couple of days have been crafty for me. Did a layout and then switched to some birthday cards just to keep in my stash. Got to play around with some different techniques, though my ground espresso oxide ink is super dry and almost unusable. Guess I'll need a reinker. I might be a little crazy but I'm kicking around the idea of making a bunch of Christmas cards for this year. I didn't get to for 2018 and I still really like all my Christmas stamps...its tempting to play around now that I'm in the stamping zone.

I didn't get much done because of an unexpected visit from youngest gs. I seldom have him without his 3 older brothers so that was fun. We looked at his scrapbooks, he made 2 cards (I found out he REALLY loves sports), we did a piano recital for each other(he claimed he did not hear any mistakes), he showed us how to work a puzzle we were struggling with, i talked him out of playing monopoly for a shorter and easier game, we admired a pkg of cards that patin sent to me (his favorite was a pop up)and I did take some pictures. I usually walk at the river before church and he was happy to go with me.

Well, I've been at it for a couple of hours, but I've accomplished very little. Page planning, mostly, but I've made some decisions about how to proceed. I'm going to make some coffee and start cutting and pasting. @elaynef, so glad you got to spend some one on one time with the little guy!

jacquelinescraps that's cool that your husband is journaling with you. Is that something you do together a lot? Or was it a special page? We hang out while I make my pages. He will be playing a video game or watch a show. This was my first time making a scrapbook and having someone that wanted to be a part of it. And it was very casual, I showed him a layout and asked if he wanted to contribute.

I think the best way to approach it is to first ask yourself how you envision your space. Are there room tours on YT you like or posts on IG or Pinterest you love. I would start with one section of your room and one item at a time such as all your stamps. Have a box near by for the purge stuff. Yeah the konmari method seems crazy I didn't put my stuff in a pile but I did hold each item. I think you also need to think about how you scrapbook/craft. Do you like having like things together/scrap by color or theme. Would you like a die cutting area ETC This is some great advice - thanks for getting the wheels turning in my mind! When I set up my craft area, I was a CTMH consultant and had everything sorted according to their color palette (which at the time was divided into "seasons"). It's been many years since I sold CTMH, and yet it's kept hold of the prime real estate in my craft area because I never changed it. Don't get me wrong, I still have a lot of CTMH stamps/paper/inks/embellishments, but maybe it's time for me to desegregate my supplies. Also, Fantasy Kate (see Jenjie's thread on NSBR) is a scrapbooker, so I have a lot of scrapbook-specific supplies. Real Kate is a cardmaker who hasn't made a scrapbook page in a few years. My space would be less clogged if I unloaded the scrapbook-specific stuff.

Ok I've been putting this off for weeks since I realized Costco totally mixed up the 1500 + photos I had printed from scans I had done of pre digital photos. The stacks in the front with the post it notes on them have been sorted for each kid and me. That's where I left out because the rest are all mixed up The 3 huge stacks behind those have to be sorted they are the mixed up onesUGH this is so painful!!!

I just finished my canvas on the weekend. I'm really happy with it. I used Tim Holtz grungeboard alphas for the letters and shapes

I actually scrapped all weekend for the first time (it seems like in years).. I got 3 pages done (I am very slow).. but that is huge for me. I left work early on Thursday cause DD was sick.. So Thursday I got laundry done and picked up everything.. Thursday night got all organized and vowed not to be distracted. I put in a DVD (a mini-series from the 80s that I love, North and South).. and I was set to go! I loved every minute of it.

I have physio today, but have some supplies pulled and a title planned for a LO. Hope to get it started this morning before I go. And while I am in town I plan to print some dgs bd pics to play with on the weekend.
Any scrappy plans for you?

I shared a picture of the huge stacks of photos about 1500, I was attempting to put in order after Costco mixed them up.
I have got them all in the right order this past few days. Also managed to sort whose pile (mine and my 4 boys) they go in for about 1000 of them yay! Going to tackle the last pile today.
My other big goal that I didn't get to is finalize what sketches or pinned layouts I want to use for inspiration for a 3 day crop I'm going to. Once I figure that out I want to make up kits and find photos and get them ordered. I would also like to do a video of my kits I've really neglected my channel the last year or so.
If by some crazy miracle I get those things all done I have a ton of layouts missing photos. I'd love to find them photos so I can complete them next weekend.

canadianscrappergirl I hate that Shutterfly does this, too. I'll order 4 copies of a print and one will be mixed in with other things. They are all over the place.

canadianscrappergirl I hate that Shutterfly does this, too. I'll order 4 copies of a print and one will be mixed in with other things. They are all over the place. I wonder if they do that to mess with us LOL! I could have cried when I realized about 200 photos in how mixed up they were. It was like they threw them up in the air LOL I printed them in the Fall and took them to a day crop as a project. I'm trying to do a PL type album for each of my boys and myself. I have 1000s of photos my kids have never seen. So I started by scanning my pre digital photos with a flip pal scanner. I have from 1990 to 1998 in albums for us. So that day I was attempting to make piles for each of us. I was so upset at the mess they made I literally put it away and didn't look at it again until last week. As I was trying to get them back in order I did have a revelation. I realized that each photo was assigned a scan number when I scanned them and they had that scan number printed on the back so that was a huge relief as it was really a huge task that was feeling like it was impossible to finish.

canadianscrappergirl, that sounds like a nightmare. It's not a big deal if it's an order of 50 or 100 but 1500??? Glad you found an easier solution to putting them in order but still! What a pain! I'll be editing pictures tomorrow. Lots of editing, uploading, and ordering pictures. Not my favorite task but it needs to be done. I also have a fun picture of milkshakes at Mel's to scrap and I'll be using DL Neapolitan which is one of my favorite collections. So glad I still have some left. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Oh my gosh ladies, it has been about 7.5 months since I scrapbooked and I am going to this weekend. I purged, cleaned, reorganized my nook and bought some new items (25 pk Bazzill white card stock, hip kits, and paper cutter). Just need to pick up some more adhesive as back up. Super excited. Things got busy and hectic with dd and her medical conditions.

This morning I finished a couple of pages I had started yesterday, and put together a quick page for today's 28-4-28 challenge. (It also fits the February Sketch challenge).
Hoping to get a bd card finished today, and then on to other things until tomorrow.
How are you doing?

Working on a 2nd layout this weekend. I’m also sorting some paper for photos coming up. I’d like to finish up the few page kits I have and then decide what photos I’d like to scrap next

This past week I scrapped two layouts.
First was a 12x12 for Valentine's day. I used the free 8x10" print from Walgreens.
Second was an 8.5x11 featuring a pic from New Year's day. I was able to use a New Year's specific PL card that I had been hoarding for over a year.
This past week my teen competed in a State level competition several hours from where we live. I was able to watch a live feed from the event. I was screenshot-ing their parts.
And don't you know it made my scrapbooker heart sing when they brought me a postcard, their name tag, and their hotel room key (it was meant to be kept as a souvenir, so they weren't stealing it).
Then they also pm-ed me all the pics that their friends took of them on their phones that their friends shared with them.
Scrapbooking heaven. 😁

I edited pictures for most of the day yesterday. So many pictures. Today I’ll photosheet the ones that I’ll need in sizes other than 4x6. I just need to get them done and ordered so I can get to the fun stuff.

I have a new computer tower that was my hubbys. I went to find the place to insert the disk for my printer/scanner and my cameo but one place didn't work...hubby says that I need to give a command from my computer to get it to open up but does not remember how to do it. I told my daughter and she said he is right so she is coming over after work today to figure it out so I can install both of those I have lots of pages in my drawers that are for my cameo.. I sure hope that it works

I finally got to the end of the 1500 photos and added them to the prints I had already. So happy to have that task done! I still have several boxes to scan but that will have to wait for another day. Next task today is to narrow down what sketches or pinned layouts I want to CASE at the 3 day retreat I'm going to this coming weekend, then make kits and find photos. Finding photos is my least favorite task because mine are such a mess. I can never remember where some of my favorites are!

I finally got around to scrapping today using my new Maggie Holmes stuff that I got at Tuesday Morning! I got a 2 page spread done and organized all my new goodies. Now I'm working on a photo order cause I haven't ordered any pics in the last 2 years! Life has finally seemed to settle down a bit (knock on wood) and it feels good to be able to focus on my hobby that I love so much!!

I just finished a six day reorganization of my embellishments. The hanging kind of embellishments, I have two of 90% of my embellishments since I almost always scrap two of every layout. I had hundreds and hundreds of packages to combine and that took me two evenings to match and repackage. Then another two evenings I sorted them into groups. I have spent the last two days putting them in iCubes (that fit in the Kallax). I got six of the six inch tall baskets and 3 of the large bins and went to town. Today I finished up cutting and labeling kitchen chopping mats as dividers. And as most things go, I'd move one thing and then start organizing that area. I also fit my WRMK typewriter and Gemini Jr. on top of the Kallax. My room looks much less cluttered now and I even have a space for my 31 file folder bag that holds my current projects in it. My desk only has my tool tote on it and everything is in its proper place... for now. So I will be scrapping this weekend. Just not tonight. My back is killing me from all my bending over.

I have a 3 day retreat starting tomorrow. It's in my town so I don't have to go super crazy with packing as I can run home for things I live about 6 blocks from the community centre.
I always procrastinate when it comes to getting ready.
I got about 15 kits made some are really detailed and some are basically paper/photo and a sketch or a pinned layout for inspiration.
They're all spread out on my kitchen table should pack tonight but I'm tired.
I managed to get all the papers cut for 3 card make and takes I'm teaching. I need to emboss some backgrounds and cut and emboss some leaves.
I need to put the candy and paper shred in the 50 plus favors I made for the retreat attendees.
My house is a disaster and I really wanted to make some cookies but I procrastinated too much!
I guess I'll be getting up early tomorrow morning to try and get some of this stuff done UGH!
