Good morning!
I just realized I'm down to my last three rolls of ATG refills. I bought them as a group buy here. Does anyone know the website to buy the refills in bulk?
Thank you!!

Buying in bulk is news to me. I usually just use a coupon at Michael's. Thanks for the link. I will have to check them out.

I understand that some of these "generic" tapes have issues when they come off the roll. I just buy the Scotch/3M brand with a coupon from Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc.

I have also bought from Tape Depot as do my crafty friends. Great customer service and I've never had a problem with the tape.

The dozens of rolls of Tape Jungle adhesive I've gone through have all exceeded my expectations (and bonus: the tape jungle tape doesn't reek like the acid-free version of the 3m adhesive).

I have never heard of problems from the 3M kind or experienced bad problems but I am sure there are bad batches out there of all brands.

I order from Tape Depot. Juts ordered last week, actually. My last order was a year ago. So it took me a year to use almost 12 rolls.

I’ve ordered from Tape Jungle and Tape Depot. Never had an issue with either site. I just buy the one that’s cheaper when I need it.

Also Framing Supplies for the 3M ones in bulk unless you want the generic. I was in the group last time when we all ordered the generic ones and I have never had any issues with them. I've also never had issues with the 3M ones.

I now buy them at Michaels with a coupon whenever I go in and don't find anything else to buy. But I've also had issues with the Scotch/3M rolls too. Maybe it has something to do with how long they sit unused. Not sure but I can return bad rolls to Michaels without any issues.

I'm on the Michael's rewards program, so once and while I get a coupon code for 40% off my entire regular price purchase. (Online only, I think). I usually stock up then and get enough to have free shipping.

I just press on it and get it to the right side. It takes about 5 seconds to fix. I have had a few rolls that had cuts in them towards the end of the roll. However, at 2 cents a foot for tape when buying bulk, it is okay if I lose a few feet. I can go through 3-4 rolls in one night when I am putting together kits, so I have to buy in bulk.

Apparently it has a tendency to stick to the release paper instead of the backer paper sometimes. Rts scrapbooking on YouTube just recently did a video on her favorite supplies and she actually shared some useful tips for helping to deal with this very problem.

I have helped other people get their tape back on the right side. Both sides of the release paper are the same, so sometimes it does go wonky. I think I am the ATG whisperer. I go through probably 30-40 rolls a year and other than the release paper having cuts in it, I just don't have problems loading or using tape and I get it from several sources. There are several YouTubers that I have seen explain this problem and even just how to load the dang gun. For me, it just isn't an issue. (I have other issues. )

There are those that don't like it because of the adhesive unwinding wrong and those that don't like the size. That covers most, I think, lol. YouTube is a good resource for the unwinding naysayers. 😅

I do love the feel of the smaller guns, but the adhesive is so much more expensive.

I got some once at a crop not sure where the original buyer got it from but everyone at the crop raved about the quality of it so I bought six rolls.
The first 2 worked great the last 4 I had nothing but issues with. The paper part of the roll actually ripped. It was like there was a slice part way thru the rolls. I'd try re-inserting it and it would break again over and over. It was so frustrating. I may have got a dud bunch but I've been leery ever since to buy in bulk.

I tossed perhaps the last 10% of each roll, but what I paid for them in bulk made it okay to toss. There are 108 feet in each roll for about $2.00-$2.25. I mean I wasn't happy about it, but I knew I wasn't out a lot of cash either.

Today and tomorrow (Feb 20th and 21st) Michaels has a coupon code for 40% off your entire regular price purchase online or pick up in store. Sadly the ATG tape refills are out of stock, but figured I would share the deal anyway.

I've bought in bulk several times in a group buys in my other board. I think it was Tape Depot but don't remember for sure. A time or two, the tape tried to come off the wrong way but a very easy fix.
I do NOT like 3M acid free because it stinks SO bad. A very very strong chemical smell that stinks up the whole room. I'm very chemically sensitive and I'm not going to make myself sick using tape or glue with a strong chemical smell. It took weeks opened up in the garage for the smell to mostly go away. But then it gets dusty on the edge of the rolls.
The 3M general purpose doesn't smell as bad and what I used until a wonderful person sent me a sample of the group buy tape so I could check it out before I ordered a bunch.
Oh and it works best IF you keep an empty spool on top of the spool filled with tape. Keeps the tape on the edge of the roller. I use an old empty 3M spool. The bulk spools are sometimes not very round but still slide on well.

I just ordered 4 packages of the 3M from Amazon for $23.08 for 4 packages. Not the best price I've ever gotten, but it was the best of the 3M brand online that I found. I was getting low and nervous, so didn't wait to get more in stock locally. They changed the packaging and I think that's why it's hard to find in the stores.
