I was just thinking about how my Versafine black ink pad is from 2015... or possibly even older. And it’s still going strong! I use it the most, too.

older than 2011. That's when I moved out of the US and I've been packing and unpacking my ink pads since the Staz On pads still work well. I've added some Distress Oxides to my stash in the past couple years.

Functional ink pad? Hm, that's a good question. I'm not sure since almost all of mine are second-hand, but based on the age of the stamps it was with, probably in the neighbourhood of 6-8 years old. My ColorBox petal set might be even older.

I have a turquoise dye inkpad from 2002. Still juicy.
It was given as a gift, in a time before I scrapbooked, but was just crafty.

For sure it's a Versafine Black Onyx pad that I use constantly. Maybe 6 to 8 years old and I've never had to reink it.

I own no reinkers.
My pigment inks from 2002 are fine. I have several pads from 2003/2004/2005 that work - close to my heart, KI memories, Jenni Bowlin (sp?)

I have the Stampin Up Pads I purchased in 2007. Still with the reinkers for most of them. lol I just tested them all out recently. They all work fine except one, Red Riding Hood. The pad is starting to disintegrate. I'm not sure why. I haven't used them in years!

14.5 years old. My daughter (now 15) was a baby and I wanted to lift a layout I found in a magazine. I drove 45 minutes one way to buy something called Walnut Stain from some guy called Tim Holtz. Little did I know I'd have shelves devoted to his products years later.

I have a lot of CTMH ink pads from probably around 2004. They still work great.

I’ve been using the same ink pad for over 10 years. I only have a few roller stamps that I use it for but it’s still going strong.

This is a timely post. I just went through all my stamp pads yesterday. Threw away some that were dry. I have some Close to My heart pads that are probably from 2005 or earlier. But, I win with a purple stamp pad that is from Hallmark that I had in College (1980's - I'm old) that still works - what? I kept it mostly because I couldn't believe it still had ink in it.

I have a Stampin' Up white ink pad (white whisper I think?) that has been opened since 2006-2007 and STILL works perfectly fine! I've always loved that ink pad! It's the only one I've ever had from SU.

My oldest is actually one that never came out of it's plastic. It's probably from 2004-2005 when I worked at Michael's. I dabbled in most of the crafts they sold just to see if I enjoyed it. I think I bought it along with a dollar stamp that had SWAK on it thinking I'd make my husband a valentine's day card or something. It's pink...many of you know I don't care for pink...perhaps that is why I never unwrapped it, lol.
In terms of my oldest USED ink pad, I have no clue. I think it would probably be a similar timeline for my first acquired SU inks as well as my Memento Tuxedo Black (that I need a refill or replacement for...I might buy a new one because I can use a coupon for it but local big box stores do not stock the refill). Those are probably 4-5 years old.

I still have some Impress and ColorBox pads from when I first started really stamping, which would have been around 1992-93!

I guess it would be my archival black ink that I don't use much any more, but I guess I bought it when I first moved to the US and started stamping, so maybe 2002? I have reinked it a few times. It was the only ink pad I didn't get rid of when I stopped stamping back in 2007, before I started stamping again in 2012 or so. I correctly figured that a good black ink pad was something worth having.

I could not tell you anymore but it is old old old. I do not stamp anymore cause I started hating it. I do ink edges though.

I have dozens of Colorbox pigment & PSX dye ink pads from the mid 90's, that are still juicy and like new. I was a stamp demonstrator for PSX in the 90's & still have lots of product from that time & it's all still going strong.

Not sure exactly when they came out, but I bought the TH distress inks the first year they came out I think it was around 2002. Funny how back then I loved the distressed look and mostly used browns and now I have every color!!

I've never had to reink an ink pad. I had one from 1985 that I threw out because it started as three colors but they bled together, but it still worked. I got it for my 8th birthday from my aunt, along with a stamp with my name and address on it...
Most of my inks are from around 2010.
OK, I did have a white ink pad that dried up fairly quickly after I bought it.

I have no idea, lol. A few years ago, I grabbed a bunch at a swap, so I have no clue as to how long whoever left them on the table had them.
As far as my oldest personally purchased one, I'd have to say it's an easy 15 years old. I've been scrapping for 20 years, so even if I didn't buy any right away, it's probably that I picked one up in the first five years and I've only tossed 1 or 2 tops.

I had a Memento pale pink teardrop pad that recently changed from pink to salmon color. I was so surprised. I replaced it with a new one but wonder if the reinker on that one should be tossed also so as not to contaminate the new pad. Guess I’ll test it. It seemed so odd that it happened at all. At least 12 years old on the teardrop. I have an Adirondack dye pad that is probably 18 years old. It’s from when the refills for those were huge.

Like 13 years old, and that thing won't die! I don't even like the color that much anymore. It is some off-brand dye ink.

My stuff is soooo old. My Versafine has got to be at least fifteen now. My SU pads are over ten. I have all the reinkers for all my major inks. I know I should purchase new pads since you know there are new ways to stamp, ROFL! I just can't quit my old ink pads. I do need to upgrade because some of my ink pads are like "RETIRE ME! I AM SO TIRED AND FALLING APART!"

A set of pigment dauber duos from early 2000’s that I bought at ACM on clearance. Next oldest is my Versamark pad but I have a reinker for that one.

I have two that I bought in 1991 or 92. Used them a ton to stamp on my jewelry hang tags. Did get a reinker because that was all the pink ink pads I had for a long time! I have several that were bought between 1994 and 1999 that I can still use!
