This will be my first time receiving rewards. I received an email in January stating I would receive an email with my reward in February. Had anyone received theirs yet?

Yes, my email said on or around Feb 15th and I got the email on the 17th. Also got my Costco 2% reward check in the mail too.
FYI, I went to member services, like the email said, and they said I had to find a manager in a red vest. She was over by the registers and took me over to one against a wall that had a load of cash in it. So they may say the same to you.

We have recd the email but no check yet. I bet it shows up any day. We don’t usually have our statements mailed but I think they usually mail it when the checks come out.

I received my email Feb 15th, so last Friday.
They send an email (from Costco Anywhere Visa) that you take to the Customer Service counter and they scan the bar code and give you cash. If it's over $500.00, then the Floor Supervisor gets involved and then he/she has to get a check from the Accounting Dept. But you get it immediately, no waiting for it to be processed and mailed.
I screwed up though. The Accounting Dept wasn't in yet and I opted for a Costco cash card. I should've waited until another time because now I won't earn the 2% bonus on the next few purchases.
And you don't have to print the email, they can scan the bar code from your phone.

In Canada, we buy an item for around $10.00 iat the cash register and take the rest in cash. We then take the cash and put it in our bank. We carry very little cash now. Everything goes on the card and we pay t off at the end of the month. We also pay our car and house insurance once a year on it. We also pay our telephone bills and our cable bill on it. Every month and online we monitor online or the paper bill to see how much of a rebate will be coming. We also pay our health care on it.

But you can also just cash it out without a purchase.

Mine was $200. They said all rewards are handled by supervisor on floor in red vest Must be different for each location. I think it really depends on how much it is. If you’re buying something and getting some cash back and they have it in the register, they will just give you the cash there. But if your cash back is more than what they have in the till they will send you over to customer service to get it. We’ve done it both ways in the past. I can’t remember exactly how much ours is going to be for this year but I want to say it will be over $800. We haven’t gotten ours yet but our statement cutoff is later in the month.

I got the check in my bill via regular mail and then went shopping but didn't spend it all and they wouldn't give me cash said they were out - the cashier had the money ready to give me and the manager said nope she would have to issue me a check and then I would have to go to my bank and cash it - needless to say I wasn't a happy customer - took 5-10 minutes to get the check, had to drive to my bank, wait in line and get my money that in the past I would have just received at checkout. The teller says it happens a lot late with that and refunds. Nothing like wasting 30 minutes out of my day.
I have had a CC in one form or other with Costco for years and I have either just gone to the service desk or gone shopping and used it to pay and got money back never an issue until this year. Oh and as I was leaving after waiting for the check the person bringing cash was delivering it. I wasn't the only one that got a check as the person behind me did to and that was only at one register. They really should communicate better as I would have held onto it and used it the next time if I had known and the cash manager wasn't clear at all and very gruff.
