I just opened the 6" pad of the bright Color Fresh papers and got my ruler ready to trim off the border. Huh? Is it just me, or would you feel short changed too? (The perforations are at the 5 7/8th mark) Is this common American Craft standard? (Ha ha, I just attained a new rank: Beastly Member!! Love it)

Holy crap! I'd reach out to AC to ask what's up. Maybe Satan can fix it in exchange for your soul?
ETA: Did you measure in cm? Looks like it might be 15cm.

I have had this happen with 6" and 12" pads and papers. I get so mad when my paper is not 12" after I remove the branding strip or tear on the perforation.

That annoys me.
I stopped buying FPD 12” papers because they weren’t a true 12”.

Did you measure in cm? Looks like it might be 15cm. It's 6" x 6" (15.2cm x 15.2 cm) (but actually, 5.95" x 5.9" (15.1 cm x 15 cm) I emailed AC and have had a reply asking for additional information, which I have sent. We'll see where that goes. mikklynn LisaDV I've not noticed it before, although I have been cross when the adhesive used to create the pad creates one dodgy edge to the 6" square. I can't remember which brand that was but I thought that a pad with a generous margin would be more accurately sized. Disappointing!

Looks like the Chinese manufacturer calibrated using the metric system. It's up to AC to double-check and get it right 6" is not 15cm. Hope you get a satisfying response from them.

And here I was annoyed an entire pad from DCWV that was supposed to be 8 1/2x11 is 8 1/2x 11 7/16 and I have to trim 7/16 off when I make my work appointment calendar. Lucky I’m not scrapping with the pages as there are sheets where it would be obvious it was cut off. I used DCWV 8 1/2x11 pads for my work appt calendar for 4 years without any previous issues just this 1 pad
At least I can cut it though. Too short can’t really be fixed.

I can't fault American Crafts Customer Service.... Within 24 hours of my email I just had a reply. "We did double check the stock that we have here at the office and are happy to inform that it is a true 6 x 6 pad. Yours must be a unfortunate defect. We would love to send you the pad that we checked." I've sent them my address and we'll see how the replacement measures up. Fingers crossed it really was an anomaly - though heaven help us if we need to take our rulers to measure everything before we buy From the replies here it sounds like these things are not always 100% precise. (ETA: Although they said that all the stock in the office is true 6 x 6, it appears my replacement is coming from the warehouse, so we will wait with baited breath and ruler at the ready! I have just had the despatch note - v efficient)

This morning, a replacement Color Fresh pad arrived from American Crafts. Full marks to their CS for taking my comments seriously and acting promptly upon them. Of course, as soon as I opened the packet, I got out my ruler! The new pad is better. It's still not perfect (about 1mm short of the 6 inches in one direction, so not quite square) but I am going to say "thank you, American Crafts" and leave it there. With this experience, I will be more aware of the accuracy of such things and will definitely check before buying where possible. Trouble is, I think most of us buy online and have to trust someone else to do the checking for us, don't we? I still take precision and quality control for granted, even though I had a bad batch of PL Design A pages which I struggled with (and blamed my own inaccuracy for!) That ought to have been a learning moment for me but it seems I need a bit longer for it to sink in!! "Made in China" seems the key phrase - or can you advise differently?

I had this same experience with my new Jillibean Soup line...the 12x12 pages are 1/16" short in the vertical direction. They are the full 12x12 on the horizontal. Given that I FREQUENTLY use a strip of paper across my layout, I need this to be 12x12 because so many papers have directionality (I was using butterflies. I couldn't cut a strip horizontally). I e-mailed them and told them to fix this because I will NOT be buying the next line unless they do!
Made in China...
