Hello ladies!
I already have a Fujifilm Instax-2 printer; LOVE it’s portability but not the photo quality. The novelty wears off when the photo quality is lacking at such an expensive price point per print. I have a Canon Selphy which produces great quality photos for its size, but it’s not exactly portable
Does anyone here have the Kodak Mini 2? I would love to know a scrapper’s opinion of it.

Yikes! I actually just got the Instax 2 printer a few weeks ago after seeing one of Amy Tangerine's reviews. I have only printed a few pics with it and am happy with it so far. I don't plan to print a lot of photos with it. It's more for the novelty when I do want it. I actually have a Canon Selphy. I have had it for years now, and I actually think that some of my old pics have faded!!! I have used nothing but Canon paper with it. I stopped using it and print with my regular Canon printer now (I didn't have it when I got my Selphy). I agree that the Selphy gets a thumbs down for portability since it needs to be plugged into a power source.

Check out the HP Sprocket. We got if for DD for Christmas. Not perfect prints, but pretty decent for what it is. The iphone app is pretty good too.

I have the Polaroid Zip printer. The prints are pretty good, decent for a little photo journal imo. I took it it with me to Italy last summer. If a picture of a picture is any help, here you go. (Photos removed)

I just recently got the Sprocket too. It’s not for heirloom photos but it’s fun for on the go and mini albums. And the photo paper is reasonably priced. A little less than the film for my Instax.

I used my Selphy exclusively for a couple of years and I have since lost the digital copies of those photos of my kids...they were in their cute baby/toddler stage at the time! Were your faded photos out on display or in albums (away from sunlight)?

mcjunkin, oaksong, ilovesmores, my friend has a ZINK printer and I was disappointed with its print quality so I was trying to stay away from those. But your prints look really good, oaksong, so it seems I am back at square one with my indecisiveness.

I was looking through a book I created for my DD of her high school years and really think that’s happening to the pics in the beginning of the book. I stopped using it halfway through and started printing pics from my Epson picturemate. I much prefer the quality and am now worried that the Selphy pics will fade out. It’s weird.

But your prints look really good, oaksong , so it seems I am back at square one with my indecisiveness. Sorry to add to your indecisiveness! I was pleasantly surprised at the print quality. I used an iPhone X and only did basic light/dark/contrast editing in the app. It’s especially good for outdoor daylight photos.

I thought the Selphy had some 100 year/archival quality promise on their prints or something like that. Guess I am remembering incorrectly by I don’t see that anywhere now...and to think that I replaced my first one when it broke instead of getting the PM-400...

It prints a bit too warm so I’m still trying to figure out how to adjust my photos. I am loving it so far! So glad you made me take a look at the ZINK printers again. ESP since the dye sublimation ones seem to fade (the Kodak I was considering and my Selphy; thanks for steering me away from that technology, prettyprettypaper ).

My Selphy is cranky and won’t connect to my wifi anymore.
I’ve just ordered an Epson Picturemate. I had one years ago, when they first came out, and I know several ladies who have these new ones, and they love it. So, Amazon should deliver it Wednesday.

I'm glad you found something new that's working for you. An editing app that someone here recommended is PicTapGo. It has some nice features, and you can access it directly from the Project Life app. Makes a nice workflow when you're laying out 3x4 pictures. I also got an Epson PM400 for Christmas, and I am really loving the photo quality. DD borrowed my Zip to take back to college for journaling. I hope I see it again someday.
