Mine is the dog I had when I first joined 2Peas. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2017. I have a new beloved furry companion, but I can’t bring myself to change the picture.

Mine is a simple way of saying I'm a dumbass who hasn't figured how to put a new profile pic up. Actually, I haven't even tried, which I guess makes me a lazy dumbass.

It's a sign to myself to make shit happen.
I was on a trip that I earned from work to Italy, sitting on the wall overlooking a gorgeous village on the trip where I realized I was 100% relaxed for the first time in nearly 20 years. It represents goals, growth, and strength to me.

I've got a few more that I've been so curious about. I wonder how many other peas wonder about these, too? And lastly---this one cracks me UP !!! The terrible towel is probably a reference to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think one of their announcers, Myron Cope, was at least partially responsible for it. It was a “rally towel” that fans started waving during games back in the 1970s.

It means I didn't put a pic online...
11/18/2020--I saw this thread bumped, and finally added a pic. It's my first machine embroidery project I made for Christmas last year.

Originally, I had a picture of Amy Farrah Fowler in her pink bridesmaid dress and tiara. “ I’m a princess and this is my tiara!” I’m a huge fan of the Big Bang Theory. It is now a picture of my sweet girl, Sally who passed last July. DH wants to get another dog, but I just can’t.

This one was mine. I missed this the first time around! My ds was way into Minecraft (still is) and there is a screen in Minecraft that he refers to as the F3 screen. When you hit the F3 button in Minecraft, it shows you your coordinates and a bunch of other information. So, of course, he made F3 goggles to navigate life. It cracked me up when he wore his F3 goggles so I snapped a pic and used it for a bit. He’s not as into the F3 screen anymore, so I changed it to the cartoon version of him— Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. The quote seemed appropriate for the boards.

I'd swap it out for something newer but I get confused when people change their pictures a lot. Mine's just an old photo my youngest son snapped a number of years ago now. I like the bright color and sunshine in it. I'd change, but gar won't let me. Lol! It’s a good thing you didn’t crop out that hint of a bathing suit in the corner....

Apologies in advance that these photos are HUGE. I've used this photo site for years, and don't know why this is suddenly happening! I've tried editing several times oliquig .... Every time I see this one, I think you're holding a fluffy white dog, but looking closer, it looks like fluffy white flowers, or cotton candy? Also...HOW do you pronounce your user name? guzismom ..... I just wanted to say I LOVE your avatar photo !!! Is your adora-bull dog's name Guzi?

scrappintoee lol that is my now 19 year old nephew showing me his hand full of cotton candy on the bus at Disney. Which he then proceeded to eat. Oliquig is a mash up of two of my pets I had as a teenager that ended up being my AOL user name back in the nineties, as my actual name is super common. I've been using it since 1994 and have never had an issue with it being taken. The pets were named Oliver and Quigley, so Oliquig (ali-qwig) was born.

Mine is from one of our Halloween fancy dress parties. This particular year we decided to have a theme- Favourite song/band. I managed to find some orange material that had little umbrellas and raindrops all over it, so made myself a dress, wore a yellow raincoat ( that I used at school to do crossing duty) and rainboots. Then I laminated lots of men I liked and attached to my umbrella with fishing line. It was a fun night - we played all the songs that our guests represented! Oh and my husband loves the B52s so he was a Rock Lobster!!

my pic is the view outside my door... houses across the street... especially poignant for me since i am going thru a divorce and will need to give up my house, which breaks my heart. didn't realize this thread was this old.... so i have since moved and changed my profile pic a different sky, not the view of the top of the houses across the street and that sky. kinda meaningful because the sky is the sky, no matter where you live. and my kids and i are a family, no matter where we live.

THANK YOU to everyone who answered!
kinda meaningful because the sky is the sky, no matter where you live. and my kids and i are a family, no matter where we live. I like that! So true! scrappintoee Slightly off topic, but I've always wondered what your username means and how to split it up. RedSquirrelUK .... I have many nicnames, one of them is "toee" (pronounced toe--eee). Annnd, I love "scrapp in" (As opposed to non-slang, which would be scrappin g). It's extra special to me, because "toe-ee" is what my nieces and nephews have called me since they were tiny. They're all adults now, but the nicname stuck. I started on the old two peas 20 years ago, and made lots of albums for them, so I liked it as a user name. (Awwww, and now one of them is a mommy herself, and now "Aunt Toe-ee" makes albums for her great niece). Sidenote....when I was very, VERRRRy into "scrappin" in 1999-the early 2000's, one of my nephews said: "give Toee some photos and she'll scrapbook the HELL out of 'em!" He and the other kiddos also thanked me profusely for the life albums I made for them; starting with them as babies, allllll the way up to high school graduation. The pets were named Oliver and Quigley, so Oliquig (ali-qwig) was born. Thank youuuu!!! I have always wondered !!!! And the cotton candy, too! LOL that all these years, I thought it was a fluffy white dog! P.S.....I wish avatar photos were larger. [td class="left-panel" rowspan="2"] gar ....ugh, I tried to quote you but my laptop went crazy. I guess I do bump old threads semi-regularly. I love it when I get to see an old thread I missed, and I hoped others who hadn't seen it before would see it this time. There are still a few that I'd love to know the stories behind! (Such as--- the cute little kiddos in orange jumpsuits (?) with mustaches painted on their sweet faces---but I guess it's self-explanatory).

Mine is a still from the film Gaslight. My name is Anne and my Dad always called me anniebygaslight. It was a play on the title of a book, Fanny By Gaslight, which turns out to be about prostitution in Victorian England. Oh dear!

I was on hiatus during the first two rounds of this thread. Fascinating.
Amelia Bloomer was a nineteenth century American editor (unusual enough on its own) who was a champion of women’s rights and suffrage. She also happened to advocate for less confining clothing for women, i.e. ankle length pantaloons under a knee length dress.
I admire her for her early foray into women’s rights, but it’s what her last name has became synonymous with that is damn handy for an avatar. And I wonder, with a bit of chagrin, what she would make of that.
