My favorite scrapbook YouTuber is Lisa Fonseco. Her pages usually have a hand drawn creature on them that is paper pierced and stitched. I wanted to try to attempt a creature on a layout. I am not a great illustrator so I found a cartoon of a seagull and went from there. I did not try to stitch him because parts of him were too small and I am out of practice with hand stitching. I will say I like him and I think he conveys the attitude of the seagulls I met on the beach this Christmas. I have a video of two of them perching on my hand and fighting for the roll I was holding. I had planned to do a layout with much more muted colors, but when I saw the Beach Please title on one of the papers, I knew it was the right paper.

Oh, when I first saw your LO and saw the seagull I was like "CUTEST EVER, EVER, EVER!" I love the whole LO. That seagull is the best! I had to peek at Lisa's YT channel. I watched this video- www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3H1AbXAUIYThat FOX! Wow! I see why she's your favorite YT. She is super talented. She cuts so fast, lol. I know somebody is going to tell me that was a speed forward video, lol. Thank you for sharing her channel. It's so hard finding hand cut scrapbook artists now. Girl, after my own heart. I do really love your seagull. It makes me smile.

Lisa often just starts cutting paper and you really don't know what she is creating. I am definitely going to scrap lift this one because I have a bunch of pictures of my boys in dragon/knight costumes that I just have left uncreated because I couldn't find the right LO in my head. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zvz3X5v-jQ

Using a cartoon as a pattern was genius. The whole layout is fantastic.
I used the same floral papers this weekend at a crop. I LOVE them. It almost hurt to use them, they are so pretty, LOL.

I love your layout, and seagull, too. You did such a good job.
I've spent the last week watching Lisa Fonseco videos. I'm addicted. She is so talented, watching her process is riveting to me.
I've also discovered a great scrapbook box thanks to her - the Really Useful Box, 7 litres, with tray. It's quite awesome and I'm trying to buy it, but having the hardest time finding it in Canada. She sorts her kits into it - another fascinating process!

She sorts her kits into it - another fascinating process! Argh, why are the boxes with trays so hard to get?! I found this on Amazon UK - $US11 + $20 more to ship it. Nope. I'll file that away in the never-going-to-happen with the Iris box tray I tried to buy on Amazon. The seller didn't actually seem to have any, but at the same time they were happy to take my order... Someone needs to make us some cheap, available kit-sorting trays for our 12x12 storage boxes! 950nancy I love your little guy. Such great attitude! Makes for such a fun cheerful spread. I'll have to check out her channel. I'm not familiar with her work at all but it sounds like fun

It's too bad because they look perfect for storing large kits/product lines. Office Depot & Staples both carry their lines, I wonder if they would special order that size?
