I'm at a similar place - and you will find that you won't get much back on the "investment"! It seems that anyone who buys 2nd hand craft products expects to pay pennies on the dollar -- brand new, still in wrap, "heritage" Basic Gray, Bazzil Basics card stock, Close to My Heart pattern stock; pristine Chatterbox, SEI.

We put in new floors in my scrap room and I put so many boxes in the living room that you couldn't move around in that room. Funny how boxing things up takes up so much room.

I moved last spring, and boy do I know what you’re going through.
My tip is to pack it as it’s stored now. That way when you’re unpacking, you’ll go faster because you aren’t moving things around so much.

Packing up my craft supplies is amongst the jobs that I loathe the most. I have packed and moved my stash 11 times in 20 years and just recently had it all packed up again due to a house renovation. Every time we move my scrapbooking and sewing is the last thing to be unpacked and my husband tells me that I have way too many boxes of that stuff and it needs to be cut down down by 50% the next time we move, haha guess what always ends up with more boxes than the last move. It does seem to multiply as the years go on but I do purges from time to time and only keep the things that I love, and apparently I love a lot of crafty stuff

I had to pack mine and move it all two and a half years ago. I'm glad that I kept and moved my stash. I have no LSS near me anymore. I shop my stash now.
You won't be able to sell it for even a fraction what you paid for it. So many LSS have closed their doors. Moving is a big job, and it's tempting to get rid of your supplies, but you'd probably be sorry in the long run if you got rid of them.

I feel your pain...I packed up mine to move and have more boxes than I care to count!! It's still packed up while the house is being built, the rental space is not conducive to scrapping much and I really don't want to unpack and re-pack!!

We are planning a move in the next few years. I'll hate the transition time when I have all my stuff packed up and in storage. I'll have to do that to stage the house, since I scrap in our LR.
The upside is, I am NOT buying a place without a dedicated scraproom.

Moving your scrapping supplies is the worst! I had to pack mine up and move them three times in a year. By the end I just wanted to burn it all I was SO sick of boxing them up.
But...now that we are settled, I am SO glad I kept it all.
Hang in there!!

Ugh, I hear you - we had to pack up my stuff when the basement flooded and I learned a few lessons: 1. a lot of old stuff is good stuff. I "rediscovered" supplies As much as I hated the packing, it also helped me reorganize. 2. my husband has a funny sense of humour. He labelled boxes..."scrapbook stuff". "more scrapbook stuff". "yet more scrapbook stuff". "what could possibly be in here? oh wait, scrapbook stuff". "you know what's in here". "yes, it's more". "how much money is in scrapbook stuff?" etc. etc. etc. It was hilarious!

I'm going to be moving, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. We are selling, I am buying (in the same area). Hoping to rent it soon, prior to purchase. Then I can clean and paint if needed (can't remember the colors for sure). And that will give me time to move my stuff at my own pace. To keep my anxiety levels lower, I will pack up a car load at a time and get it unpacked and take the boxes and containers back for more. I don't want movers touching to smaller stuff.

When we moved three years ago, we labelled all the scrap room boxes “SR”. The men helping us move boxes had to hike them up the stairs to the scrap room. By the end, they were Stupid and Ridiculous boxes. So funny.
But I use my old products and would never part with them. Is it work to box and move, oh yeah.

You all are NOT making me feel better about the "doing of it" ... in addition to the "doing", I must purge and reduce the bulk. By a LOT!!

I feel your pain. I did the same for a move a couple years ago. I probably never need to go shopping again, to be honest. But I do. LOL.

You know at least you are at home scrapping or scraping with friends and not doing something you would regret
