Had a layout just about complete - nothing stuck down though...went on FB to confirm the date of the pictures...and realised that since I downloaded them, more were added to the album. So the one-page layout is going to become a two-page and I need to order the other four pics. Guess I won't be finishing it today...

I dumped my tea on my lap when I got to work. Luckily I have a change of clothes in my car trunk. Yup it’s a Monday

ugh hop2 - you win! hopefully it wasn't too hot and you didn't get burnt as well as wet. I've ordered the photos from CVS and thankfully have enough of the cardstock to make the second page so...hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow.

I arranged a visit for a flat, but the strike ate 20 minutes of my time budget (that had already been eaten up by another emergency. Both could have been much worse though) so I ended up running. Accident on the bus in front of mine on the way back--had to run to the métro station. Ate at 1.30 pm and had to run mid-lunch to catch my train because of changes of plans from my sister. sleepingbooty Mercury retrograde much? 😂 ETA: my whole month has been a series of unfortunate events. No one is badly hurt, though, so I'm waiting patiently (-ish) for it to pass.

Oh, I know, I used to live there. I don't mind high intensity. I really hate to do things in emergency/at the last minute, though!

The website won't let me read it because I'm in EU, but I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed your husband doesn't have to retire.

lisacharlotte Like @millefeuilles, I can't access the article but forced retirement sounds extremely serious. I'm hoping for a better outcome for your family. What terrible news.

For those that couldn’t open the article, Nebraska and Iowa are flooding like crazy due to the bomb cyclone runoff as well as a very snowy winter that is melting and a ton of rain. DH works on Offutt Air Force Base and the area where his office is located is 8 feet under water.
We’re lucky, we’re funded for retirement and he can do it now if needed. I was planning on his salary helping to cover our still not started kitchen renovation. I feel for all the people that have lost their homes and/or livelihood. Farms and ranches have fields destroyed and livestock that will not survive. Not to mention all the people that did not have flood insurance that are flooded out of their homes.
Some small towns are cut off from the outside due to all roads in/out flooded. It’s financially devastating for these small communities.

I read articles and saw pictures of Niobara, Valley, the Offut AirForce base and Fremont County. This is terrible. Are you going to be ok where you are lisacharlotte?
