I have a meltdown when I can't find somewhere I am going. It's not that I am lost. I know where I am. But, where in the hell is the parking lot for that venue? THAT seriously gets to me. It's so irrational.

Other people's anxiety. I'm good at dealing with my own stuff, but if someone close to me is anxious or upset, it sends me into a tailspin.

Driving past windmills. I always imagine that I’m tied to one of the blades and going round in huge fast circles. (Why and how someone could get me up on there is irrelevant.) And yet I can’t look away from them as I find them so hypnotic. There is a huge wind farm with 54 turbines a few miles from my house, and I freak out if I have to drive past it.

Being late! I can't stand it and it makes me panicky. My best friend is ALWAYS late and thinks that I like to do the driving so I'm always the one to pick her up whenever we are going somewhere. I don't mind driving but truth be known, I do the driving so that I can make sure that we arrive on time at events.

My petrol tank going below 1/4 full - terrified I’ll run out of petrol ⛽️ even though there’s about 60 miles left in the tank 🤷🏻♀️
As soon as it gets to 1/4 full I fill up

Anything/anyone touching my belly button - or even coming close. Dh knows better but thinks it’s hysterically funny to try and get Dgs to come over when i’m sitting down and try to wiggle his finger in there. Even talking about belly buttons makes my stomach scrunch up 🤢 gar, my DS is exactly the same. He was traumatised at an early age by this Gary Larson cartoon captioned "Belly button slipknots", and was always terrified that his would unravel.

Being late sends me into a panic.
My parents are these staunch, on time is thirty minutes early kind of people, and being late is the worst offence a person can make. Every moral failing can be traced back to not being punctual. It's absolutely done my head in and I really do have over the top reactions to being late.

The other day I was first in line at a red light waiting for it to change. Just as it turned to green an ambulance came through the intersection with lights and sirens on, so I waited for the ambulance to pass before going through, even though the light was green. Someone laid on their horn behind me and I full on lost it. Don’t honk at me when I am respecting the rules of the road, I’m not about to cut off an ambulance just because the light is green. This is a pet peeve of mine. I will definitely give a Jersey wave if you honk at me when I stop for an emergency vehicle

Being late and by late I mean a minute or two early. I tell BFFs I will be ready at 3 and I am there at 2:55. I cannot help it. They can’t help being late. I have a phone to entertain me until either of them come out of their houses and we are good! I am always worried I will be late.
Driving with less than half a tank of gas. I have BCAA and roadside assistance through them and my insurance if I run out of gas. I play the gas game and get gas the cheapest I possibly can for the least amount of effort ie I can tap my credit card at the pump or what have you. I need gas now and am also waiting for it to drop in price again. I am very competitive with the game and I have all sorts of rules to the game. It entertains me!

Taxes- I have an unrealistic reaction to doing taxes. It stresses me out. It’s not the paying of the money that stresses me, if they sent me a bill, I’d pay it without the stress. The action of doing taxes stresses me out I’m terrufied if being wrong. Even when I use a professional I still get this anxiety reaction that’s out of proportion. I get super upset when I loose or break something my kids made me. Dogs, I get weirdly happy about dogs. I’ll be on vacation in a foreign country and I’ll see a cute dog, it makes me smile. If they come near me I always talk to them. Maybe my accountant should have a litter of puppies there for people like me. This is me. I used to get a migraine doing the EZ form - yes the EX form!

I know, right? I was a college student making $3000/year and I agonized over my 1040 EZ! In my defense it was during the whole highly publicized Leona Helmsley tax evasion investigation. AND if I’m not mistaken the 1040e. Was ridiculously short & simple back then. And yet I still checked it like 40 times & did the math over & over

Dh doing my laundry because he's not supposed to. He over dries everything and makes my pants and shirts shrink in length. For someone that is tall that really sucks. So I tend to throw a fit when he does my laundry

Unexpected company/events.
If it is suddenly sprung on me that we will be having guests or have to attend a big event, I become the exorcist chick pretty quickly.
I hate, hate, HATE having stuff like that catch me unprepared.

And also when dh losses his keys because he does it often. He just lost the garage keys that he just replaced less than a month ago

My too small bedroom closet frustrates me daily. I donate clothes to the Salvation Army I no longer need/want when I buy new ones so that makes me feel so much better. My small aggravation is helping others.

When I’m reading, I need to know where my bookmark is, at all times. I don’t even use pretty bookmarks, it could be a gas receipt. But as I’m reading, my hand will reach out to make sure it’s right next to me on couch or bed. If it’s not, I immediately stop reading and will search until I find it and put it in its rightful place. I think I sound unbalanced.

Driving somewhere I’m not used to, especially in heavy traffic, but also in snow. If it snows, I don’t go..lol. And getting lost.
Loud noises, especially loud music with thumping bass. A bar/restaurant moved in close by a few years after we moved here and every. single. weekend. there is a live band and we can hear and feel the music until all hours of the night. Annoying as crap.

Driving someplace for the first time. Yes I have an iPhone. Yes I have GPS. But not knowing *exactly* where the building is, the best route and how much time it will take to get there - ugh. Major stress time. Yes! add to this —not knowing where to park or how far away parking is from the door!
