Born in NYC in 1961. Moved to Seattle at age 3. My sister and I flew back for a family wedding when I was 6. I didn't visit again until my son was 15 (almost 40 years later) and a complete theatre geek. Now I go back and forth a few times a year since he lives there. I found my birth announcement a few years ago and it had my address on it. During my next visit, my son and I found the (pre-war) building and the doorman was kind enough to allow us to wander inside to our hearts content. It made me unreasonably happy to be there. I wish my parents were still alive, they would have loved to hear about it and see the pictures. Marble everywhere. Amazing moldings. Old elevator. Beautiful wood stairways. For those of you who watch Mrs Maisel, it was totally that esthetic, down to the detail of my paternal grandparents living in the same building. My childhood home recently went up for sale. It was so fun to see the photos of the inside. A lot changed, but a lot was still solidly stuck in the 1970's.

I was born in Massachusetts but moved to Florida when I was 1 years old. I know my parents took me back to MA to visit my grandparents as a child but I don't really remember it & my grandparents moved to VA when I was very young. I have not been back as an adult. I plan on taking a trip there before I die to see Rockport because my grandmother grew up there and always talked about it. I would love to see it for myself.

I was born in Japan on a military base. We came home when I was about a month old and I've never been back. I don't have a burning desire to go visit, but I've always joked that I'm going to get a Made in Japan tattoo on my butt. My brother was born on a base in Kansas and he's never been back there. Same. I was born on Guam, and we came back when I was about 3 months old. I've never been back, although my BIL has when he was in the air force.
