I used to keep my paper in a metal file box (which sounds like it makes no sense 😂). It was about the size of a milk crate but was made out of that mesh looking metal that a lot of desktop office supply things are made of, and it had two rails inside for hanging files. With normal sized paper you could stack multiple cubes. Obviously 12x12 stuck out the top of the hanging file folders, but it was just enough to flip through what you had but not so much that the papers would fall over. I had two of them and a base w/casters that they would sit on. I would fill the bottom box with my tools and other supplies and then set the file of paper on top, which was the perfect height to sit next to me. I would carry it in one piece at a time though because I was always worried I would tip it over off of the base piece. It was like this, but didn’t collapse. www.officedepot.com/a/products/396079/Innovative-Storage-Designs-Mesh-Collapsible-Crate/
