I really like the Dior Nail Glow because two coats strengthens and looks like gel nails. My nails look amazing when I wear it. So it’s worth the $28 for a bottle that lasts me about a year.

I've had acrylic nails forever. Since the early 90's. I did gel for a while, long long ago. I liked it, but then moved and couldn't find anyone who did it as well as the first lady, so back to acrylic ever since.
I only ever do pink and white French nails. Occasionally I will do color, but I always come back to the French. Short nails, square with rounded corners. I like that they look clean and natural and they don't break.
It's about$25 for refills every three weeks. It's worth it to me...

I had thin nails that split easily. I started taking biotin and within 3 months my nails stopped splitting and are much stronger. I do my own nails now once a week and go between various colors and clear strengthening polish. The biotin has saved me the time and money of getting my nails done every couple of weeks. I tried gels and acrylics but the damage to my thin nails was excessive and took forever to grow out.

Traditional polish only. Everything else damages the hell out of your nails, and contributes to aging on the skin of your hands as well as upping your likelihood for cancer. No thanks. Same here.
As for nail shape, I tend to prefer oval and almond for a classic, minimalist look. Squoval can be very flattering on some hands.
