Clearly because you don’t see adult people living their life that dress quirky you won’t accept that it is a real thing so nothing I can say is going to sway you, but I know what I see. Huh? You're saying because I never see people like that...I don't think it's a real thing - but isn't that just obvious then? It must be one of those American things because people don't dress like that around here. I live in the area known for it's fashion district and when I walk down the street and look in shop windows and at what people are wearing who shop there, none of it looks like Hester's crap. I don't know why you are tying yourself in knots trying to convince me of something, when an actual PR contestant (with a quirky style) said herself, on camera that she has to work 5 jobs (probably an exaggeration) to make ends meet because she can't make money from her designs. AND that's with two seasons of PR exposure. I didn't make that up, she said it. They put them on the show, the judges rave about their ugly clothes, then they get out into the real world and find no-one wants to buy their stuff. Sure those weird designers have a niche (not nitch BTW) market but not enough for them to earn a living from it in most cases. My whole point was that the judges were questioning wether Garo who made several long sparkly dresses will sell garments, but they didn't question Hester's designs in the same way. It's a no brainer that sparkly evening dresses are going to outsell outsell circle nipple pasties & neon fake fur and see through mesh any day of the week. You yourself said that real adult people don’t dress like that. I am just saying that around here they do. That is all. Real women, with real jobs. I also never mentioned Michelle or her lack of business acumen. But just because she couldn’t make a go of it business wise it doesn’t mean people don’t want to wear her designs. There are a myriad of reasons why she was not able to turn her win into a successful business. It doesn’t necessarily mean that her designs aren’t good or wearable or desirable. We get it, you don’t like Hester or Michelle’s designs. You don’t see them were you live in your fashion utopia of cutting edge design. I was just saying that I do see people dressed like that. I am not trying to convince you of anything, just offering my life experience. You are the one that seems hell bent on convincing us that their designs are crap. I also never used the word niche, and if I had it would have been spelled the correct way so not sure why you threw the passive aggressive spelling lesson “niche (not nitch BTW)” in there.

I think what we are trying to tell you, is that your WRONG. ha. That we do see adults dressed like that, and there is a nitch. I was just in Vegas, and walked thru the high end fashion malls there, and even some of those designers have some of that quirky, fun style. It's coming. More professional young women are growing behind the traditional, simple, plain business suits, and tailored dresses to show more of their individual and artsy sides. I love it! You keep pointing out the pointy bra. Eh, it was one piece. Many of the other designers have had some odd pieces too. you also point out Michlle, when who knows what some of the other actual winners of PR are doing? there were some winners in past yrs, that were very plain, simple, traditional, and I don't think they are doing that great either. Look at Christian. He's probably one of the biggest success stories from PR, and honestly some of his clothing looks like Hesters.

If there's a discussion in a thread, don't you read all of the posts? or just the ones you think relate to you personally? So here's a clue, if you didn't use the word, then that comment was obviously directed at the person (who isn't you) who did. Cindy has incorrectly used "nitch" multiple times in the last few posts including again after my correction...but there was nothing "passive aggressive" in my pointing it out, I did so quite openly. Seeing I was using the word myself now, it seemed a good time to point out the correct spelling to those people who obviously don't know. You are the one that seems hell bent on convincing us that their designs are crap. Not at all, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I am stating my opinion about people on a TV show... that *I* think they are crap...everything she does looks cheap, tacky & poorly made, and my opinion of the judges comments about her work. You seem to be the ones telling me all over your town people are going to work in micro mini skirts, see through tops, knee high socks and hats that say "Plz Die".
I'm also saying that I don't see professional women dressed like this. I'd love to see photos of the women you seem to be surrounded by at work who dress like this:
He's probably one of the biggest success stories from PR, and honestly some of his clothing looks like Hesters You do need glasses. I just googled pages of Christian's designs come up and NOTHING looks like Hester's dipped in glue and rolled through a thrift shop look. Plus they did an episode this season in his atelier and nothing looked Hester's designs there either. Maybe you are watching a alternate universe season of Project Runway where this happens, (the one where Swatch has vanished)...but it's not in the same one I'm watching.

I am not going to bother responding to the rest, clearly we see things very differently and I have no interest in arguing about it. Have a nice day.

Regarding the niche thing, you were quoting me so I figured your comments were directed at me I assumed (obviously incorrectly) that you would be able to recognise that if you didn't use a word and someone else used it incorrectly 4 times, that you would be able to identify who my comment was directed to. I apologise for overestimating your reading comprehension skills.

Hester ‘s stuff is definitely not my cup of tea, but she’s made some really cool things and I actually LOVED her final collection, at least what we’ve seen of it. When Christian made his home visit, I was kind of blown away, although the pastries and tiny pointy bra tops are pretty hideous. I immediately thought she and Sebastian were the two contenders. I think Garo tried to do too much and spread himself too thin. I still have high hopes for his collection. Bishme! is very likable, but it was his time to go.
I agree that Christian’s home visits weren’t as good as Tim’s, but this is his first season. I’ve been really impressed with him overall—he’ll get there. The home visits aren’t just to see the designers through the lens of their friends and family, it’s also to get a glimpse of their designs, hear about their inspiration, see their studios and how they work and get a feel for their progress. I love the sneak peek.
I also disagree that successful women wouldn’t war Hester’s designs. My 20 year-old Med student loved her clothes, just adores them. She could totally rock a lot of her looks. She just has a very eclectic and whimsical taste in fashion that Hester appeals too. It’s just clothes fgs—why do we have to get so snotty about it?

I was surprised, I picked Hester as the winner for this season. I wouldn’t wear her stuff, but man, I thought her collection and show was the best. From her cohesion, her styling, her accessories, and making her own accessories. If she can get funding and big names to help her, I think she will continue and go far.
I still don’t think Sebastian is sure enough of himself yet. Maybe this is what he needed though? He’s obviously talented, and he could have a wider customer base going forward.

I’m glad Sebastian won. I agreed with the judges on the first orange outfit. I knew Diane would like his stuff.
They tried to warn Garo about not using the judges favorite.
It seemed like the editing was done to make us think Hester was winning. I wonder if she will end up working for Diane.
I only like half of Hester’s collection. The plaid outfits were just ok. I did like the mini skirt that looked like it was printed on vinyl maybe.
I really liked Christian this episode. He improved as the season went on.

Christian was awesome last night! Maybe he just felt comfortable finally with his role! Hopefully he'll be more and more like that next season. I see they have already announced a fall season. So that's good.
Yea, the editing, and esp Diana F going on and on about Hester's talent made you think that.
That 1st orange outfit of Sebastian's! ugh. I was like..why that one 1st?
Overall I like this season, and liked the winner, and there wasn't too much over the top drama and people.

I was happy overall with the season and super thrilled there will be a Fall Season!!!
I am happy Sebastian won and was rooting for him. Of the final 3, his collection was the one I would love to wear. And I have to say, although Hester's collection is not to my taste and neither am I in the age range of her target customer, I appreciated her creativity. It was refreshing to see something unique, fun and colorful come down the runway. I thought her accessories were cute and her designs were "art" and not intended for the mainstream customer. I would never wear any of her designs but it was a fun collection and brought "joy" to me just to see it. So yes I appreciated it. But I am so glad the judges chose Sebastian as the winner. He deserved it.
And, I agree, I am glad there wasn't all too much drama among the designers and they seemed to support each other for the most part. Looking forward to the Fall Season!

I'm so happy Sebastian won. IMHO, his collection was in a different league than the other two. I did think there was a heavy edit to make us think Hester had it.

Sebastian was my favorite from the very start. I hope this gives him the exposure and boost he needed to be successful. It was nice to see Nina get emotional. You could tell she really was proud of him.
I, too, really liked Hester's collection. Again, not something I would wear, but the creativity made it fun. Whether it's to everyone's taste or not, you cannot take away that she is talented. I wonder if she'll take Diane Von Furstenberg up on her offer.
Garo collection was hit and miss. I liked the first few outfits he sent down the runway but hated the last three dresses/gowns. That poor plus size model. He could not get the dress to fit her properly. The entire season, not once did the designers put something on her that was flattering. Even the one time Garo made her a similar dress, the fabric showed every flaw.
I've loved Christian as a mentor all season long. I'm really happy to see him come back for a second season. Can't wait.

I thought the runway shows were really great this time, for the most part. Usually I hate at least one entire collection, so this was pleasantly surprising. The weirdest one to me was the one with the bedazzled skin, that was just awful. The dress was fit terribly and the bedazzled skin was just so tacky and didn’t do a thing to enhance the look.
I loved the white dress that Christian practically insisted Sebastian use, I couldn’t understand why he wasn’t going to, it was so lovely on the runway.
The stylist wasn’t much help, I hope they ditch her but keep the rest of the cast next season.
I really like Hester’s looks a lot, I really hope that she and Sebastian both have successful careers.

If there's a discussion in a thread, don't you read all of the posts? Nope. The first post on this thread was about the body-altering show, when I wanted to hear about the finale so I jumped to page 6. I'm also saying that I don't see professional women dressed like this. Maybe you aren't looking at the right profession. I can think of one that would make good use of see-thru shirts with pasties worn underneath. I also disagree that successful women wouldn’t war Hester’s designs. My 20 year-old Med student loved her clothes, just adores them. She could totally rock a lot of her looks. She just has a very eclectic and whimsical taste in fashion that Hester appeals too. When I see Hester's clothes, I think of young Japanese women. I bet she could have great success in Japan. If I were in my twenties, there are a few of her pieces that I would wear. I’ve been really impressed with him overall— I loved watching Christian. He's one person that I remember as a contestant, and I'm so glad he's doing well. I still don’t think Sebastian is sure enough of himself yet. Maybe this is what he needed though? This is why I'm happy Sebastian won. He's the one who will benefit the most from the personal tutoring. Garo makes costumes. He's got an established business and the show can only give him good advertising.

Hester almost got it! LOL I've been working, so just got a chance to watch it... No she didn't...did you listen to their comments? They said she'd make a good stylist, and a good accessories designer which I can sort of agree with, someone might want a quirky backpack or scarf, but very few women will want to dress like a paedophile's wet dream in Lolita-esp baby doll dresses. They didn't like half of her prints, they didn't rave about any of the actual clothes...I knew there was no way she was winning this...even though they tried to edit it as if it was closer than it was. Didn't you hear that male judge say "it's all well and good to be modern but women will always want to wear beautiful clothes"...yes because Hester's clothes are definitely not beautiful. I called Sebastian as the winner last week, and it was his to lose unless he really screwed something up at the last minute. I'm happy that he won and even happier that a man with talent like that will no longer have to clean other people's houses for a living. He did the hard yards, & now he gets a chance to work on his passion. Even though they canned him for things like his zippers, I actually really liked Garo's collection too and see him as very similar to Christian when he won...he may not make dresses women will be going to work in, but I can see potential for a lot of red carpet/celebrity gowns. Some of the celebrities who are more mature and not super skinny would look fabulous in his dresses. I also think if Diane von Furstenberg was serious with her offer, Hester wouldn't go and work for her, she's far too wrapped up in thinking she already knows it all, and the two of them would clash massively, as Christian said, she has strong opinions...and Hester doesn't listen to anyone, she was even talking over the top of Christian while they were filming! In other thoughts, I don't like Christian pointing out how hard he worked and getting his own ego stroked by the designers...not classy. They also really highlighted Hester's personality deficits this episode, so you just know she's going to be on the next season of All Stars. Karlie's outfit was ugly but Elaine looked fabulous. She's a very attractive women, but so often on the show she looked like she picked clothes from the children's section while blindfolded and it made her look older/harder than she is but that sophisticated pink gown looked great on her.
