I'd be tempted, but my problem is that I'm hoping to be able to drag my daughter (movieless because we would be taking my husband's car, not the van...that'll be exciting) to shop the Pomona Expo next week if I my sister is able to hang out at the house and take my other kids to school and pick them up. I can't go for the full event, but I really want to shop. I wanted to see what people had received in their fall boxes and it turns out most of them received their boxes about 2 weeks after the sale went up. So I can't buy one without risking duplicating things I may like from the Expo...but that also means I risk getting nothing because I am not 100% sure I'll get to go out to shop. Such poor timing from EP.

I went to their warehouse sale (I think it was in the fall). I better pass. Can you share how it was? If I can't go shopping at the Expo (and maybe even if I can, who knows), I'm definitely going to make their fall warehouse sale in Utah. I talked with Madison and asked him if the stock was similar to the Expos and he told me it was and that going out of my way in hopes of finding different things wouldn't be worth it. The thing with Expos, though, is that the stock is limited. I lucked out and nabbed the last of one of their Disney-esque stamp sets in Pomona last year (the guy who does the inventory planning for the shows said he was shocked by how fast that set went...mind you, I was there to shop within a couple hours of opening day) so I figure at the very least, shopping their local sale would mean fewer inventory problems.
Do they have similar inventory (possibly with more embellishments) to the types of stock that Tuesday Morning gets? If you've been to the Expos, do you think the inventory is similar?
I would drop everything and go without a second thought even if I ended up finding most of the same things if they only did them in early August instead of late September/early October (I love a good excuse for a road trip) because I wouldn't have to worry about my kids' schooling. My oldest had to miss his first day of school in 2 years this school year and he was not a happy kid...I definitely don't think he'd be keen on missing a day of school to road trip so mommy could go shopping.

I love Echo Park so it wouldn't bother me if I got duplicates in the warehouse box. It'd be better to shop at their store but I live far from Utah!

I already buy 2 collection packs when I like something at the Expos unless they are the collection packs with duplicates already in them, that's the problem, lol.

There was a slightly better selection than the Expo. I do agree that you would be going out of your way. I do tend to buy a lot of Echo Park and Simple Stories. I wanted to buy Doodlebug, but they did not show up at the last minute. There was only one line I wanted. Simple Stories is closer to where I live and they do sell some overstock items at their main office as well as recent lines. I think in the future, it would be worth it for me to drive more miles to the warehouse sale and not have to pay an entrance fee and go on a separate trip to Simple Stories when I'm in the area.
The one thing that stood out to me was 6x8 binders were only $3.00. I don't remember seeing them at the Expo. I don't have a Tuesday Morning near me. I'm not familiar with the EP they sell. The pricing for kits (4 for $20) and the amount of embellishments, and the area where they were selling seemed comparable to the Expo; maybe a little bigger.

You can also buy Echo Park at CKC conventions. I picked them up last July at $5 a kit (or maybe it was $7, I can't remember...)

I guess out of the way is subjective, huh? The first time I made that trip was for a restaurant (with Orem just under 6 hours from me and discovering they had opened a restaurant there that I grew up on in Washington...it made me downright giddy to know that there was a place within a reasonable distance that I could get it at...don't ask what it is, it's not special, it's just one of those places that remind you of your childhood and that makes them special) on my birthday. It is actually across the street and about a quarter mile up from where AC typically holds their warehouse sales...talk about a small world. Over the years, it had gotten easier to find an excuse to make the drive because of the warehouse sale (on the first trip, I was still 2 years away from scrapbooking being a thing in my life), Ikea and Chick-Fil-A. Now we have both Ikea and CFA. Then AC didn't do their warehouse sale this year. My excuses for making the drive are running out...as our family grew from just the husband and I to us and 3 kids, more reasons meant we were more likely to make the drive.
So distance isn't a huge deal to me. I am aware that the cost of driving (for both wear and gasoline consumption) negates a lot of the 'bargain' feel of it, but I really do enjoy road trips. In the last couple of years, we haven't taken as many as we used to. It used to be a thing we did every couple of months (sometimes more frequently than that) and now our road trips can be as few as 1 or 2 a year.
I used to work at Michael's...it was my first job. We'd be out of stock of something that a store not even 8 minutes in traffic had in stock and little old ladies would just look at me completely aghast that I dare suggest they drive 8 whole minutes to another store. Totally subjective.
Dare I ask what the prices and inventory is like (and how you get the SS office to let you buy stuff) for Simple Stories?
Also, are you saying that SS and Doodlebug were setting up booths with Echo Park? They announced one year (I think MME joined them that year) there would be other brands and announced who on FB, but I don't recall any announcements of other brands (although I did get the information only from Insta last year) being discussed last year. I'm clearly missing more information than I realize trying to avoid FOMO/new release posts. If there is more than EP, it would definitely make it more appealing. It's a shame Doodlebug didn't show, especially if they have good prices on recent (2-3 years old) lines. The only Tuesday Morning products from them I've seen are around 10 years old.
I know a lot of about product (up until a couple years ago where I stopped paying such close attention), but I'm clearly missing out on some good information, lol.

Sorry if my post was confusing. They are all separate. I went to the Let's Create Expo and the Echo Park warehouse sale last year. According to my cousin, who goes yearly, the Expo was much smaller than usual. I was only wanting to buy from those three main companies.
You don't need to get permission to buy at the Simple Scrapbook offices. They have a small area off to the left of the main entrance. If I remember right, they are only open during normal business hours. At one time, they did have a small storefront, but they changed locations. They are about an hour north of Salt Lake. I wouldn't visit there unless you had other plans in the area. Their offices are really cute though!
Here's a link (info on the left side of the page) for Simple Scrapbooks. It's in a business park that consists of buildings that were used during WWII. It gets a little confusing finding the right place.

It's a good thing I live far from the warehouses. I always overdid (happily) at the OA warehouse sales.

I just tried to order one... $21 for shipping!
I can wait. I’d love to get one but I’m not paying that much for shipping!! Geez.
They must not be using the flat rate shipping boxes.

I wonder if it's zone or there was a problem that they just now fixed. I am only 6 hours drive from them and my shipping was USPS priority for $9.46. Isn't it supposed to go live tomorrow?
ETA: I didn't order, just went to see what the shipping estimator was for me, so maybe it's during check out that it is an issue. Also, they are charging sales tax!!

When I went through the process to check shipping for me, it had the sales tax at first but then removed it when shipping was figured. I wonder if it's because I don't live in the same state as the warehouse? My shipping was $15.20 and I'm still deciding...

Once I add tax & shipping it would be $72 for product I might not even like.
No thanks. Not at all worth it

They said on Instagram the demand was there and they had a limited amount of boxes so they decided to sell. I know they can do that but I imagine there will be a lot of disappointed people tomorrow. Especially if they’re all gone.

I was curious so I entered the info to check shipping. I live in SoCal and mine was $9.46 for USPS priority. (It allowed me to chose shipping options). No sales tax. I’m not buying though since I just did a little scrappy shopping last week.

Especially if they’re all gone. I am not buying since I don’t love their stuff that much, but I think that is pretty crappy to say it is going to be one time them randomly sell it the night before. There is no benefit for them to sell tonight, but most people won’t check until tomorrow when they said they would be on sale and may find them sold out.

This was hard to pass up, but the shipping was 15 bucks to MN and I don't even know if there is stuff in there I will like....for 65 dollars, I think I will try and get something I know I will love. Hard though-I am always a person who loves a grab bag!

Weird the variance in shipping costs. I am in CO, and so mine was only the $9.46 priority. I haven't bought any scrapping stuff in years, and so I splurged hoping to reinvigorate my creativity. Have a lot of vacations I would like to scrap.
