Could you just come out to the farm here and organize all my dies and stamps for me?
I purchased a wonderful storage box with 14 pull out boards with magnets on both sides. Each has a label tab. I immediately put in the dies I use most and have discovered I love using this system b/c I use a die and then immediately put it back in its place on the board it came from. But I had not started filling the other slides until today.
Have just spent over an hour sorting and putting dies on the magnetic boards. Have all the obvious groupings. Now I am down to a ton of miscelanious dies and a whole set of calendar related word dies I don't even want to dive into.
I HATE organizing. I just want to play. Is there anyone who loves organizing that could just come in here for a couple of hours and do your magic?

I'm a little bit far away to pop by, but my inner librarian says that if no other grouping of words jumps out at you, alphabetical order is always an easy way to go.
I'm not sure what kinds of misc. dies you might have to even begin to suggest a system for those though.

I have organized and reorganized my dies. I ended up just putting them into broad categories and putting them on large magnetic mirrors. For me it works. I takes about 3 seconds to see them all.
And if you aren't specific about where HERE is, how will we know if we can come or not?

Maybe if several of us went to help we'd get it done quickly. Then we could play with her stuff

You get me a plane ticket and I'll be THERE! Well I did set aside money for organizing but the plane ticket would probably blow my whole budget ( $500 )

grammadee I'd come help, but you know how good I am at organizing. I could come and bring my DH. He's the only hope I have, but I don't think he's ready to make it a second career. Although, by the time we get me organized he will have logged enough hours to be a professional. He's going to make me a die storage unit like your described.

I love organizing. To me it’s fun as well as stress reducing. Unfortunately Alberta would be a little to much of a road trip for me. I’m in SoCal. BTW you’re storage system sounds pretty cool.

I'm from Colorado and Canada seems especially chilly right now. Perhaps you could pen me in for mid July?

We could get it cleaned and organized and then play!! My biggest problem is I start cleaning/organizing and then get tired, bored, distracted, etc. So nothing ever gets completed and then I have to make a card for someone and just move stuff into piles. And I do it over and over <sigh>

I also love to organize!! If I wasn't currently in the process of moving, I'd come and help. My new craftroom is almost ready, but the rest of the house is still in process so I can't even craft yet.

Well I have declared this job DONE! The dies are all on their little magnetic trays (14 double sided trays) and the packaging is all glued to 8 1/2 x 11" cs and stored in page protectors in a binder. I pulled out the trays so you could see the labels. Attachments:

scrappington, it is a custom order through Treasured Memories in Edmonton. A local guy makes them. If you are interested I can find you the link. Shipping may be expensive as the unit has a lot of wood in it.
