I like both collections! I have boys so I'll probably only pick up the boys line, but they are both cute. The only thing that I am confused about is the cassette tape in the boys line. My kids have no idea what cassette tapes are and I assume most teens don't know what they are, either?

Teen Spirit Boy is fantastic. Great colors and not a surf board in sight! Teen Spirt Girl is terrible. I have 2 teen girls, neither are pink, purple or pastel. And certainly not unicorns and heart glasses, that seems more like 5-7 years old. There are 7 pair of converse in my house, 5 belong to my girls. I’d love to see a bright primary line for older girls without unicorns, emojis or ice cream. My girls are so much more than that.

love the boy line and will probably pick it up. HATE the girl line - it seems very juvenile and not at all useful for any teen girl I know

Yeah, I'd say EP missed the mark on the "girl" version. The "boy" line is great.

I love the boy lines (I always do) because the colors are so me. I'm a 33 year old married stay at home mom of 3. If I fit the mold for the color scheme in the boy line, why can't they broaden their horizons and stop forcing people into these stupid molds?
I think more grown ass women are into the teen girl line imagery than actual teen girls. The only people I see fawning over mermaids, rainbows and unicorns are the women buying the hot buy paper pads and limited release products at Michaels. No shade directed towards them at all...just saying that I don't see teens up on youtube hauling stuff that looks anything like this. I also don't think that teen girls are into what I would consider the stereotype of baby girl colors, either. Very confusing...I didn't realize at first either were teen lines...just thought they were more generalized boy/girl collections.

So the paper would fit a layout for her. But a 16 yr old? Hell no. And most teens are over the whole emoji thing

I think the girl line will sell because that is what is selling right now. I do like the boy line. It reminds me of the the Jillibean line 2 Cool for School.

I love both of those lines. Some of the other teen or older boy lines that have come out have been a bit too old for my son at the time even though I have loved them but it seems that overnight he has dropped his little guy stuff and is embracing "teen" stuff. I love the colours they have used.
The girl line I personally love and I know that my daughter will go bananas over, however she is almost 11 and not an older teen. I think the pink could be a bit polarising as a lot of people dislike pink and that is a serious pink but we are a pink house and things like unicorns, flamingos and rainbows are everywhere even with my stuff so I will be buying this line for sure.
That cassette paper is a must have.

I prefer the boy line and agree that the girl line seems too young for teen girls. I wish they'd done the Converse in the girl line. sigh.
I would use both for donation cardmaking but I'd assume they were for tweens more than teens.
And I agree on the cassette thing - both that kids don't know what they are, but their moms who buy the lines are going to love that! Especially because we all remember the pain of the darn things unspooling. Even if kids knew about tapes they wouldn't know about that special pain.

I love the “boy” line. The “girl” line is awful. Awful enough that I may consider second guessing Echo Park even though I just discovered them a couple weeks ago.

The boy line looks good for a teen. Yay! Finally! I will be buying that one. The girl one looks really juvenile. Too bad. Won't be buying that one.

The manufacturer is catering to the scrapper, not the kids in the photo. And apparently scrappers like clearly delineated roles for their boys and girls papers. I do not scrap in girly florals and pastels either. I usually prefer boys lines with bright primary colors.

That teen girl line has definitely missed the mark. Much too juvenile for a teen. It reminds me of the LOL Surprise crowd, 4-10 year olds.
I love the colors of the "boy" line. But oh my gosh, can we please stop gendering our supplies. Why are we sorting people into "is pretty and girly" and "is successful and active"?
And while I like the bold colors orange and blue, I am going to disagree with many of you about the emblems and symbols used. I don't like them.
Why all the retro? Cassette tapes, boom boxes, Polaroid camera, "so rad" "da bomb"?
Those are not this generation. EP missed the mark by not including smartphones.
I'm really peeved that only the "boy" line has "Killing it!" as a phrase. What about successful young women? Or if you have a non binary teen like me, that is neither boy not girl, then you are really up the river as far as the gendering lines go.
I wouldn't be tempted to buy up whole collections of these teen lines. None of the girl lines, and only bits pieces of the boy line.
EP, if you are listening, can we just have a teen line? One that depicts today's technology and not throwbacks from 1980. A line with bold colors. Even primary colors. One that doesn't focus on how pretty or how cool the teen is in its phrases. Heck, you could even throw in some high school related phrases and words.

I struggle to make teen girl cards and this girl paper pad makes it even harder. I can't name any teen girl in my life who would want this. Speaking of smart phone images. Mo Manning (Digital Pencil) has a a great teenage girl digital stamp of a girl on her smart phone. I used it last year to make a card for my friend's 15 year old daughter and she LOVED it. I'm struggling to top that card this year. lol Hi-jack over . . . . .

I like the boys line a lot, but agree about the tapes. They should have used records or smart phones. Records are all the rage here for teens. It is quite hilarious to me. For our school auction a few years ago they had an 80’s theme and they had cassette tapes as “tickets” for the parents to buy. One kid brought one to me and asked me how to play it becuase she couldn’t figure out what to push. Keep in mind, this was just the cassette! She kept trying to find a button on the tape.

And my ds isnt girly so all the florals and pastels dont work for him. So this teen boy line is awesome for him! But yes I would also like science stuff for my teen dd. And words, phrases like previously posted

I have two girls and two boys. The boy isn't a teen yet but I would stock up on the boy line, for the colors.
My 14-year-old DD no way. She's not into pink or unicorns. She loves her phone, books, science and wolves.
For my 12-year- old the girl line would totally work if it had less pink... and more slime. Slime is her life right now...

Maybe Simple Stories would do a simple set? I went from 30 deli containers to 2 since Christmas. Culprit...slime. And heaven forbid we ever throw any away.

I usually buy a lot of the masculine themed Echo Park lines because the B sides work well for all kinds of photos. I'm not loving this one. It's a little too themed for me to use either side of the paper. I do like the stamps and diecut embellishments. I can see using them with a variety of other products. My daughter would have LOVED the teen girl line when she was under the age of eight. I noticed there's other new (to me) lines listed. Flower Market may be a bit older.

Yeah, wow, EP WAY missed the mark with this as a "Teen Girl" line. Really??? I am entirely onboard with what your earlier posters said about this.
If you really want feminine and teen girl, Crate Paper's All Heart is more like it (still pink though). But so many of us want more gender neutral stuff for our girls, and our girls would like to see it even more. So many different phrases needed, like team, volunteer, work together, etc., etc. And enough with the unicorns, mermaids, pink/purple cutesy stuff defined as "for" older girls (better as a different themed line). I guess if you called this line "Retro Love" or something it would bug me less, but I still think that more gender-neutral and modern "girl" teen line is what is really being asked for.
SIGH

I don't get the cassettes either, that and the colors for the girls makes me think 80's. The teen girl collection would be cute for girls ages 5-11, the age of girls who shop at Justice.
