I have a lot of scissors. Mostly duplicates of same scissors but my question is about the Tim Holtz scissors.
I have his scrapbook ones in all sizes. They are great , but they have that serrated edge to them. I see that he has come out with haberdashery scissors for fabric...now do those scissors have a serrated edge to them? and if not is there any reason I can't just use them for paper?
I have no use to cut fabric so I wouldn't be using them for both. I would be buying them exclusively for paper use.

I think with the craft scissors they will cut with tiny serrations when you hold them one way and without the tiny serrations if you turn them the other. Tim’s name logo is on one side and I seem to recalll something about “Tim is facing in -serrated,facing out -not serrated” Or maybe it’s the other way around?🤪😂 I don’t know about the haberdashery scissors though. I have a large pair of fiskars razor edge as well and these are lovely and sharp and smooth

It's funny you asked this question because I just watched a video (Hedgehog Hollow) this morning about these new Haberdashery scissors and I'm pret4ty sure she said that they do NOT have a serrated edge. I wasn't paying close attention to fact because I can't say that the serrated edge on the regular Tim Holtz scissors has ever been an issue for me. What I find ridiculous about these scissors is the tin that they come in... I really don't need to dig my scissors out of a tin every time I need them. I wonder how much that packaging costs... I'd prefer less packaging and LESS cost.

I saw a video that Tim did when the new black handled scissors were released. He stated that the serrated edge only cut one way. I never remember which way to hold but now that camcas mentioned it had to do with his logo, I need to try it out.

Wow! Learn something new every day here. I did not know the trick about the serrated blades. Thanks, peas!!

If the serrated edge is the one you see when cutting that is the one that will be used. It is logo in for right handed people, but out for lefties.
