Here’s how this works. I will start with a question. To play, just answer the question, then pose your own. Try to keep the questions about the whole scrappy experience, from wishes & dreams to schemes, to products, to tips & techniques, to epic fails to unexpected brilliance to finished— or unfinished—projects.
Here we go:
Have you ever used your scrapbooking/crafting supplies or tools for more mundane tasks around the house? Please explain.

Cropadile for punching holes in tin to mend a small bucket or put another hole in a belt My DH is currently using my Tim Holtz craftpick to help untangle the string on his kite after a VERY windy weekend!
What is the weirdest place you have ever discovered a sticker /enamel dot from a sheet you were using?

I use enamel dots to identify the "up" side of my phone chargers.
Have you ever had to search your scrapbooks to prove to your family/ friends that something happened?

Have you ever had to search your scrapbooks to prove to your family/ friends that something happened? yes - we went to a county fair after we bought our van back in 2005 and when we were talking about it a few years later, DH swore up and down that we hadn't...so out came the scrapbook and sure enough, there were the photos. He still doesn't remember it. have you ever displayed your scrapbooks at an event (party, graduation, something else?)?

For dd's wedding, we hung the scrapbook pages from her in-progress wedding album around the guest table. I have entered albums and individual pages into the local bench fair.
Have you ever "cheated" by cutting out the middle of your background pp or cs so you could repeat that colour or pattern on top of your LO?

I often cut out the middle of pretty paper to use on a coordinating layout or to fussy cut.
Have you ever looked through your album and discovered a photo is upside down?

Yep - some "just had to have it" paper. I found it months after the layout I bought it for was done.
Have you ever purged your supplies and asked yourself "Why in the world did I buy that"??

1) We were trying to match the paint in our living room and I could NOT remember what the color was called. Went thru all my albums to find out if I had journaled the paint color when we first remodeled. Yup! Was called "Autumn Haze".
2) Cannot figure out why on earth I bought so much Tim Holtz. It looks so fun, so crafty, so different...but then there is sits all those powders and inks, while I traditionally scrapbook.
What type of craft product do you have a terrible buying issue with? I cannot pass up My Mind's Eye or BoBunny. I just seem to buy whatever they have, even if I don't love it.

Right now I am on an Ali Edwards kick... I would be embarrassed to admit how many AE boxes/packages have arrived on my door step the last couple of weeks. Please don't ask me how many layouts I've actually made... Question: Have you ever spent hours/money tracking down that exclusive just-have-to-have item and then never used it once? (Ummm, asking for a friend.....)

Why yes, I have done that: collections, Nuvo drops and ink pad colours, a die set. Oh, excuse me. My “friend” did that!
Have you ever planned appointments around an LSS sale?

Yes, absolutely! I have booked a day off work for a LSS sale, and moved an appointment to get early to an LSS sale.
Not recently, but 10 years ago, there would be a lineup outside for 30 minutes prior to the doors of the store opening... The good old hey-day of scrapbooking!
Have you ever: hurt yourself badly while scrapbooking?

Have you ever: hurt yourself badly while scrapbooking? No not yet, (Knock on wood ) couple of nicks or cuts here it there but nothing bad. Baking is the hobby where I hurt myself I have numerous scars from burns. Have you ever ‘stolen’ a picture from the internet for your scrapbook?

Yes!! Approximately 15 years ago!! I needed a Sesame Street Light Pole and could not find one. So I copied one from the internet, printed it in color and fussy cut it for my grandson's page!!
Have you ever used scrappy supplies for the vision impaired? (My DH had brain tumors last year that took away most of his vision which is a difficult adjustment at age 70. He could no longer work the microwave because there were no buttons just printed numbers. I used textured sticker shapes and also used hole punch to punch through sandpaper to mark different things on the microwave and throughout the house to help him be independent. Worked great!!)

I have never done that, but your project is a wonderful idea! What a labor of love! Have you ever lent something to someone and then went looking for it in your stash and kicked yourself for not being able to find it? (asking for that friend, again )

I've never done that because my friends who scrapbook with me have as much, or more, "stuff" than I do so no one ever needs to borrow anything! Have you ever bought clothes for your husband or children for special occasion pictures that would match that perfect scrapbook paper?

No, I haven't.
Have you ever taken pictures just so you could use them on a pre-made layout?

Have you ever kept track of how many layouts each of your kids or grandkids have in your books? Ya' know so they don't look at them and think what the heck? My sister/cousin/brother has 8 layouts and I have one??
I may not have taken pictures for a premade layout, but I have made sure that I get a picture of everyone at a family gathering. I might even mentally design the layout while I'm snapping away

My sister/cousin/brother has 8 layouts and I have one?? I have one kiddo, so I don't need to count his layouts...but I do loosely count the layouts each set of grandparents are in. 😊 Have you ever designed the perfect scrapbooking tool in your head? If so, what would it be?

A robot that organizes and puts away all the tools I DO have? Could it sort paper, too? And in its down time fold and sort the laundry?
Have you ever purchased a collection based on what you THINK you will have photos of in the future? Did you use it? Or is it still in reserve?

I buy whatever I see that is firefighter related because DH is a volunteer firefighter. I did do a bunch of layouts for his book in February. I bought a girlie lego collection (pinks and purples instead of standard colours) and it has never been opened.
Have you ever bought the latest, newest, updated version of a tool you already had that worked perfectly fine?

Have you ever bought the latest, newest, updated version of a tool you already had that worked perfectly fine? Yes, I upgraded twice this year....first I got a 1/2 inch ATG gun, even though I had a perfectly fine 1/4 one. Mostly because I bought a box of 1/2 refills. I did get the gun on ebay for $15 however. Secondly, I upgraded my Silhouette Studio to the Business Edition, I have the designer edition and it was fine, but I really do love the BE. It has a few more bells and whistles. Do you ever have a LO kinda sorta planned in your head, then just stop....can't go forward? Not sure why I'm stuck here. Maybe I'm overstimulated! ha!

Yes, I've planned layouts in my head and started them on paper and have gotten stuck. But usually I think through it some more and make changes. I often don't stick things down until I know I'm ready . . . but that is what Undo is for too!
Have you ever bought multi-packs and shared with scrappy friends? One year at a convention we (mom, sister and I) bought all the colors of the large eyelet to use with the cropadile then split them three ways. We've also bought large speciality paper packs at Costco back in the day when they sold them and shared with each other.
To answer a few above: Yes I bought the longer handled Quickutz tool . . . twice, the second time because I like purple better than black. I am also guilty of buying paper and embellishments for anticipated layouts in the future. One good purchase was a Lacrosse stamp set from Technique Tuesday several years ago, and now DS#2 has played Lacrosse for three years. I've used scrappy supplies for everything from labeling the mailbox with vinyl, to making birds to keep the wild birds from hitting the plate glass window, etc.

Have you ever gone to a scrapbook retreat? Never. Where's the oddest place you've found a lost item? Between the baseboards and the wall. I lost my fiskars ruler, couldn't find it for anything. Didn't turn up till we moved and I spotted something between the wall and the trim behind my bookshelf. 🙄 Have you ever abandoned a project midway because you got bored of it?

Yes - I had to push myself to finish the layouts for a family cruise we took in 2017
Have you ever gathered up everything for a project but when you finally got around to scrapping it just said "Nope, not doing it!" and put it away?

No, because I scrap chronologically.
Have you ever had weeks that you don't feel like scrapping?
