So I have exclusively used the Zig Memory System Writer for about 15 years. Maybe more ?
Anyways, just not that thrilled with the quality anymore. The thin tip seems to fray and I end up with fibers that I have to carefully remove or I get streaks of ink.
What pen do you like for journaling? I make my own lines, so I need one that doesn't smear when I erase the pencil. (That's another issue lately with my Zig pens)

I like Muji pens. I discovered them at the Muji store in Toronto, but then realized that Jen Schow also uses them for journaling. You can get different thicknesses (I use .38 and .5 the most) and if you let it dry briefly it will not smear. You can also get multi-colour sets. Here is the link to the official Muji store, but you might find a good deal on Amazon if you have free shipping by prime? Black Muji Pens

I recently ordered some STA pens from Amazon. I wanted waterproof pens to write on photos and these have been fantastic! I only got them about a month ago so I can't attest to their lifeline, but I am pleased with them so far. The entire description on Amazon is: STA Black Pigment Fineliner Ink Micro Pens Waterproof Black Pen Set for Art Sketching Writing, 18 Pieces They are $15.59 for nine pens, eight "regular" pens and one brush pen.
ETA: Oops, the actual set I ordered contains ten pens, eight "regular" and two brush pens for $11.99. the description is: Set of 10 Black Micro-Pen Fineliner Ink Pens - Waterproof Archival ink Micro Fine Point Liner Pen, Multiliner - Sketching, Anime, Artist Illustration, Technical Drawing, Office Documents, Scrapbooking.

I’ve gone full circle back to Micron, which was the pen that Creative Memories sold 20 years ago.

I use both Sharpie fine tip pen and Pigma Micron pens. Both are waterproof which I require for my mixed media work.

Mine has always been the fine tip AC Slick Writer. I have a huge stock of them lol. Scrapbook.com sells them under their own brand now and they're awesome!

LePen here too. I have loved those pens as long as I can remember. I used to buy them in Jr. High at HK Limited and the paper by the pound store, I am so old.
I didn’t realize slick writers were still around, I like those for certain projects. I will have to look for those.

Well, now that y’all have mentioned it ( and my memory is jogged )
I also have the copic micro pens in 6 sizes in black- those are waterproof
And I do have a bunch of micron pens in black & various colors I usually keep those in my doodling box ( le Pen & micron fit into a 4x6 photo box with a small stack of 4x6 cardstock to doodle on. ) it’s small & I throw it in my bag for trips, vacations & whenever I’m hanging out with DD

Sakura Glaze pens. They leave a slightly raised/glossy look to them - like your writing has been embossed!
ETA: they are also water resistant and don't take long to try.
