I placed an order for a few things back in late January I think, but that's been it.

I'm not allowed to post on frozen threads anymore. I lasted 3 months. It was a good run.

I started the year frozen with a goal of 100 layouts. I’m at about 25ish I think, not including some PL pages that just need a little journaling before they are done. I did splurge on some of the Maggie Holmes stuff and Tuesday Morning and used a gift card from my birthday to buy a new album and a little bit of the Sunny Days line at Joann’s. I’m feeling pretty good about my progress as I feel like I’ve been thoughtful about what I’ve bought and actually started putting it to use rather than collecting it.

I am only doing my CT sub right now. Not exactly frozen, but kinda. I have some gift cards but haven't been tempted enough by anything. I had a couple huge unexpected expenses come up over the last two weeks so I won't be buying anything at all for a while. I've even stayed away from any ad-ons. It's hard, I feel like I want to support the industry, plus who doesn't love pretty things, but I also need to be mindful of my finances. Sigh.

I was doing ok until HS Wolfpack hit the stores! Then Vicki Boutin's new line jumped into my cart, along with the HS glass pen and some much needed adhesive refills. I also caved for the WITL kit and new inks. I think I had a hot flash!😉

I was just looking for the frozen thread the other day (to confess my sins - lol) and noticed it had dropped off the front pages. I figured that everyone is done being frugal, the same way no one is really talking about KonMari any more and all the organizing stuff got clearanced out of the stores. Must be spring! >.<
I had half forgotten about being refrigerated. I didn't splurge in Japan but that trip was hella expensive, and then I came home with a cold that knocked me out of life for a couple of weeks. But I guess the habit has started to stick because I didn't click on any of the few remaining ad emails I got lately, and I haven't been browsing online.
I did go wander around the big box stores looking for stuff to buy one day last week - luckily those places are just planner palaces now - not very tempting. I went in for specific markers and I came out with a small number, and bought 2 sets that fill in some major gaps in my collection from Amazon. I did buy a bunch of papers on clearance at Joann's, a little impulsively, but they were papers I can use almost right away and to prove it I chopped most of them up the next day. I immediately got overwhelmed by too many projects going at once and realized that I had justified "needing" some things when really what I meant was "I can think of a fun use for them" which is not the same thing.
And then I started thinking about how I want a better trimmer, and wondering about some other products I'd seen.... so I think I need to decide if I'm still being thrifty or if I can loosen up for a while.
I did finally use a product that I bought last year and put away without actually trying out. I've spent 6 months thinking about how I have to use it because I wanted it sooo much. Those are the things that make me feel really bad, so finally trying it was a small victory.

I bought some Christmas collections so I could finish up a gift album Ive been working on plus the foiling quill which I think I “confessed” to on the other thread. Otherwise, I’ve been pretty good so far.

Was doing well until a friend emailed me that 100 Copics were up for sale at 1.50 apiece. I knew the crafter who passed away and that the Copics were quite new and well curated color-wise. So much for my budget but I would never have invested in them otherwise. No other crafty purchases for two months. It’s getting easier to not hit buy except when crazy bargains happen. My DH says no you didn’t save $600. you spent $150. I hate logic LOL.

I thawed in November and bought some kits on sale. I was back in with the occasional Tuesday Morning purchase. Oh, then there was the Spellbinders card kit I got on sale—I’m blaming the Peas enabling posts for that one (heehee). Recently I was asked to make a card for a group baby shower gift and I realized I own no cute images or paper. So I had to buy a few of those. My plan now is to be frozen until July, and to spend more time scrapping and less time binge watching stuff.

I lasted 2 months. I've been avoiding the frozen threads because I really thought I could do it, but I'm weak. I took advantage of the paper bargains at Pat Catans. Who could pass up card stock for 5 cents a sheet??? Well, I could not. I have stacks of neutrals. And then, the 70% sale at Joanns on Saturday. The new AC papers for sixteen cents??? I will take a stack please. I did use Sparkle City last night. Oh and throw in a few trips to TM and Hobby Lobby. I am anticipating some good news from my two oldest kids in the near future. No more shopping for me. I need to freeze again and stick to it!!! I am currently up to 77/100 pages! I am using it! Going to a weekend crop in less than 2 weeks, my page kits are ready to go. I will be up to 100 pages for sure. Move over peas, I need to be shoved to the back of the freezer!

I did pretty well until after my birthday in March. I asked for ACOT gift cards, so I spent those. That order should arrive today - whoot whoot!
I also placed an order last week for a bunch of pre-order stuff.
I need to stop now.

I don’t know if I ever got completely frozen. I blame Prima’s Midnight Garden collection. I have slowed down my shopping a lot. I still haven’t bought the Dark Rainbow pad from Michael’s even though I love purple because I already have a lot of purple. I’m dealing better with my FOMO and I am using some stash, so I’m calling it a win even if I thawed more than I froze.

Other than a brief moment out of the freezer for a sale at In a Creative Bubble last month I haven't bought anything this year. I will likely spend over iNSD weekend if the sales are any good, particularly at FJ which I will only buy on sale thanks to the high shipping costs, but other than that I plan to stay frozen for a while longer.

I lasted just over 3 months. Longest ever! I am being careful - but ordered stuff for my daughter’s wedding album I need to finish by the end of May and also, stuff for our trip to Hawaii the end of May. And....then some sales - like MME and a little bit from Felicity Jane too. Still not resubbing to any kit clubs - been strong so far!
