Hey, everyone! We’ve put together a little no-fuss crop for the first weekend of May. It will start on Thursday, May 2nd at 5pm CST (so our Australian friends will have a jump on Friday events). We will end on Sunday, May 5th at 11:59pm CST. Don’t worry, if you want to share what you created, you have all day on Monday to upload. All are invited to come hang out and create. Your hostesses for the weekend will be me, crystalb , and dasmith2 . We have had a request by craftymom101 to create a social media hashtag for our crop so here it is: mark your creations on social media with ... #2psrefugeeinsd2019
crystalb and dasmith2 both have generously offered up a gift card for crop participants. There is no need to sign up. Just come to this thread. We will host the whole weekend here. *** crystalb 's Make your own kit challenge can be found here. Here’s the spot for any pre-crop chatter. Questions, excitement, preparations…come share here. Tagging those who said commented they were interested in the crop or thought they might just pop in for a bit: Elsabelle , gmcwife1 , quietgirl , Linda , anniefb , LavenderLayoutLady , kitbop , nylene , boymom5 , joyfulnana , sleepingbooty , grammadee , justjac , woodysbetty , msliz , & alone_inacrowdedroom . ***** We have inspiration for you. You may use it or not. The important thing is to create. Thursday into Friday or Friday into Saturday (depending on where you are located) inspiration is: Theme: Easter (I need to do last year and this year) Stash Item: Use your washi tape! Technique: Pen & Ink – I love paint splatters and doodles so whatever and however much you want. Just add it in. If you share on social media use the tag #2psrefugeeinsd2019 dasmith2, has offered up a $10 scrapbook.com gift certificate to one randomly drawn person who shares a project here on our crop thread this weekend. She will draw from those who share on Tuesday morning. Thanks for your generosity dasmith2!

Okay, I have bookmarked this thread, but still, a reminder on the NSBR board the day before would be wonderful. For us incompetents. Thanks so much to all of you for organizing.

Thanks for tagging me!! 😁
I just got an AC Moore g/c for doing surveys, and am itching to spend it.
I'm also not so patiently waiting for a Snapfish order that was said to arrive on the 9th, but has not yet.

I've put it on the calendar. I'm hoping to find time to start catching up on my scrappy projects before then, but if not, I will make an effort to get current on that weekend! One way or another I'll try to play along. I guess I should make a list of the projects I need to work on to start with. I have a digital 52 stories type of thing I'm way behind on, and I have a plan to make a smashbook type of thing for all the ephemera I tend to collect.

I am hoping I will be able to scrap this weekend! It looks like I will be able to return to work 5/1 and even though I normally take NSD off work, I think after 14 weeks of sick leave it would be best if I don't lol

I may pop in although I have no crop plans that weekend. I may do a bit of sorting or organizing.

LavenderLayoutLady, don’t you hate waiting for photos and goodies to scrap with? But from the 9th to the 15th – did it have tracking? joblackford, you’ve peeked my interest, can you explain the 52 stories thing? I should so make a list of things I want to do to. teacherlisa, Congrats on being able to go back to work!! Will you continue with your shoulder PT? or? Too bad your back to work date couldn’t have been 1 week later though. myboysnme, sorting and organizing? What no baby pages? MDscrapaholic, Yay! For serious scrapping. kitbop, that pesky work is a four letter word. msliz, I’m sure the DDs will glady share with you for one weekend. If not, lay on the guilt. I gave birth to you, XX many hours of labor (always doubling the amount of actual time), no sleep for xx many years, etc. etc. Linda, Elsabelle, christinec68, anniefb, gmcwife1, @calimom2, YAY!!!! - I can’t wait.

Count me in! I've got a few albums that are nearly complete, but I just keep putting off getting to them. This will be the perfect push for me to get them out and wrap them up. I'm pretty sure DD would like to have her high school album finished, considering she graduated in 2006. I've bookmarked this thread and will be looking for the reminders.

I officially gave up paper scrapping this year after thinking I was going to get back into it for five years and never did. I took most of my craft supplies to my daughter. But I do still want to work on digital albums. Does that work for this crop?

myboysnme, sorting and organizing? What no baby pages? I generally don't scrap at home and I have no crop to go to that weekend, but who knows? I might put a page or two together.

There are a bunch more Peas too. Glad to have you joining the fun!

I don’t know how much time I’ll have that weekend, but I want to participate as much as I am able to—even if that only means checking in a couple times!

I love scrapbooking but haven't done any for the past two years or so for various reasons. I'd love to pull out my scrap things and get back to scrapping again and this sounds like just the right incentive. I've got an album of a trip to Japan I took in 2008 that is half finished to work on. I'd love to join you all on this weekend. Marking it down on my desk calendar. Waving to LucyG who I scrapped with years ago at a Club Scrap Retreat. Update: I wanted to do this so very much. Unfortunately with the thunderstorms this week I ended up with a migraine for 6 days that lasted until late Saturday. I just woke up after sleeping for 16 hours (recovery mode) and I finally feel like myself again. I've got 4 loads of laundry to do, so I think I'm just going to take it very easy and watch TV. I am planning to try to participate next year. Change that to do-no try.

LisaDV I am not 100% sure what my PT will look like by that point, but there will be some appointments/exercises at home. I agree about the one more week thing. I am not 100% sure what schedule I will be on, so I may still be off some of those days.

Teacherlisa, I'm starting shoulder PT next week for frozen shoulder that I have in my left shoulder. Can I ask what your's is for? I have to go twice a week for 6 weeks. I'm glad it's on my left side this time.
I had this before 3 years ago in my right shoulder and ended up having to get surgery in that one for a torn rotator cuff plus I had frozen shoulder in that one too.

I am hoping to check in throughout the weekend to see everyone's progress. I seriously need to purge my scrap room so I am going to focus on that and hope that all your beautiful pages will motivate me to get my room in order.
