Alt US Press Sec.. “Barr is joining Russian spy Maria Butina in requesting she be sent home to Moscow without serving her sentence. Butina is a key witness in dozens of crimes, who claimed that she was the channel for Russia approving the American SECRETARY OF STATE.” The corruption runs deep and the Republicans in Congress are looking the other way. THAT should be investigated.

I am still reading and unclear if bill was paid or just negotiated. I'm not sure either..... but would not be surprised if it had been paid! THEY have been successful.. plural, they.... Did we pay for all the hostages that dt has bragged about HE got them back? ? ? Is this a new policy? What about people who are being held in other countries?

Hostage negotiations do not have to involve money though. Depends what one means by "paying" Many a negotiation over the years have been "we will release ours if you release yours" type of negotiation. Doesn't necessarily mean that the US have done this though or paid any money over.

How he kept his job..
Ronald Klain..
”Short summary of tonight's speech by Rod R:
1. It was awful that Obama - who publicly outed the Russian plot - didn't do more to stop it
2. It's no big deal that Trump, and his family, and his campaign, still deny that it ever happened.”
Kyle Griffin..
“Reminder: It's been reported that Obama decided not to speak out publicly on Russian interference during the 2016 campaign after Mitch McConnell refused to sign a bipartisan statement condemning the Kremlin's role.”

This morning’s rant..
”No money was paid to North Korea for Otto Warmbier, not two Million Dollars, not anything else. This is not the Obama Administration that paid 1.8 Billion Dollars for four hostages, or gave five terroist hostages plus, who soon went back to battle, for traitor Sgt. Bergdahl!”
”President Donald J. Trump is the greatest hostage negotiator that I know of in the history of the United States. 20 hostages, many in impossible circumstances, have been released in last two years. No money was paid.” Cheif Hostage Negotiator, USA!”
ETA..
Alyssa Milano ..
”I don’t understand. I’ve tried it twice now. When I type “cheif” my device either autocorrects the spelling error or aggressively underlines it with red. I mean, you have to try really, really, really hard to misspell words in this day and age. And yet...”

So are we moving forward with impeachment or not? Has there been an announcement? We’ve been super busy this week and I’m out of the loop on this.

So are we moving forward with impeachment or not? Has there been an announcement? We’ve been super busy this week and I’m out of the loop on this. unless something happened that I didn't hear about, I think the answer is no... the Democrats are suddenly all into 'let's wait to see until all the Congressional testimony is done' and the leadership is trying to be 'conservative' and middle-of-the-road about impeachment: "let's not be too hasty, now..." I think all the 'old guard' leadership who is suddenly counseling patience is way too worried about 'how it will look for their re-election campaigns' personally. They need to DO THEIR JOBS and if the evidence in the report shows impeachable offenses (which it DOES in spades, IMO, for obstruction) then it is their DUTY to start the impeachment investigation / hearings. I am sick to death of Congresspeople only being concerned with their next election and not serving their constituents while they're IN office.

Newsweek...
”DONALD TRUMP SAYS HE DIDN'T NEED GUN TO PROTECT FROM 'COUP,' RAILS AGAINST 'COLLUSION DELUSION' AT NRA CONVENTION”
”President Donald Trump railed against Democrats, alleging that his opponents had sought to stage a coup, and stokung fears that "far-left radicals" would try to seize the guns of American citizens in his speech at the annual Leadership Forum for the National Rifle Association's lobbying arm, the Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA).
"They tried for a coup, didn’t work out so well," said Trump. "And I didn’t need a gun for that one, did I? All was taking place at the highest levels in Washington, D.C. You’ve been watching, you’ve been seeing, you’ve been looking at things you wouldn’t have thought possible in our country. Corruption at the highest level, a disgrace, spying, surveillance, trying for an overthrow.
"And we caught 'em," he continued, repeating a series of false and decontextualized claims about the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and allegations of obstruction of justice by the president.”
So now oversight is really coup. Ok...

Surely we have a constitutional lawyer amongst us. We have to be in a constitutional crisis right about now, don't we? Nixon did less than the Trump machine has.

the cheeto is downright off the rails scary now.
he is doing NOTHING but trying to instill fear within his base.
he is ramping up for violence.
he is lying so much about what has transpired in the last week regarding a government "coup"
waiting now for the resident trump apologists to come along and tell us that we are making too big of a deal out of what he is saying and doing.

I am starting to worry he will try to incite his followers to civil war if he loses in 2020. I’m not generally prone to such drama, but this guy is truly a danger to the Republic. He has zero boundaries.

More from his little talk at the NRA Convention..
From the Atlantic..
”About halfway through his speech, Trump teased that he was taking “another historic step to protect your Second Amendment rights.” In 2013, President Barack Obama signed a global arms pact that seeks to limit the illegal sale of weapons. Trump announced that he was seeking an executive order that would both revoke the United States’ support for the treaty and withdraw it from the Senate, where it has been awaiting ratification. “We will never allow foreign bureaucrats to trample on your Second Amendment freedom,” he said.”
What 2nd amendment freedom? Engage in the illegal sale of weapons?

He's just double downed on his comments regarding very fine people on both sides in Charlottesville, so I'm sure the white nationalists will be happy to fight for him.
