At least it's gotten Trump to admit what he's been doing to America for the past 2.5 years.

Dan Pfeiffer..
”Barr's views are completely irrelevant. It is not his job to render judgement on the President's actions, because it is his policy that a President can't be indicted. If you can't charge a President, you can't clear him.
It's Congress's decision.”
Matthew Miller..
”This is astonishing. He’s Trump’s defense attorney.”
Aaron Katersky...
”Barr noted disagreement with the special counsel's legal theories on obstruction but did not elaborate”
Brian Beutler..
”Wow. Barr essentially acknowledges that Trump associates worked with WikiLeaks to publish stolen documents, but couches it in the language of exoneration because they did not participate in the hack. That is amazingly weaselly”
Jim Sciutto....
”This is key: Barr just declared that the *legal* definition of conspiracy would require that Trump aides had to participate in the hacking of materials, not just dissemination. That is a high bar.”
Phillip Rucker...
”Barr says the White House and Trump's personal attorneys got an early look at the Mueller report.”
Ezra Klein...
”Remember that Barr isn’t actually trying to convince anyone here. He’s creating clips that the White House hopes TV news will use to frame their packages tonight.”
Reuters...
”LIVE: Attorney General Barr says he and Rosenstein disagreed with some of Mueller's 'legal theories' about obstruction of justice”

Phillip Rucker...
”Barr says the White House and Trump's personal attorneys got an early look at the Mueller report.”
That quote is extremely misleading since he conveniently fails to mention that they were given the same redacted version that will be released to congress and that Trump asserted no executive privilege to any part of the report.

I think you're missing the point here. The AG is the American people's attorney--not the president's.

And how exactly do you know that the WH received a redacted copy and the not the full thing???

It’s not misleading. It doesn’t state or even hint that they got an early look at the full report. Just that they got an early look, which they did. If the WH got to look at the same redacted report weeks ago, why the hold up to send it to Congress? And if was ready, why not send it to reporters so they can prepare their questions? Let’s not pretend it was not to give an advantage in preparing rebuttles to Trump and his administration. And to help set the scene and control the narrative. They released it right before a holiday weekend. It wasn’t a coincidence. It was coordinated. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

Free Download of Mueller reportBarnes & Noble is offering curious readers a chance to view special counsel Robert Mueller's full report on the Russia investigation as soon as Attorney General William Barr drops the 400-page document early Thursday. In a tweet, the bookselling company instructed followers how to easily download the materials. "Be the first to read THE MUELLER REPORT for free! Pre-order today and it will be delivered to your NOOK Library upon expected release," Barnes & Noble wrote Wednesday in a tweet, which has been shared nearly 500 times. IN MUELLER REPORT'S RELEASE, TRUMP LOOKS FOR VINDICATION, BUT NEW FIGHTS LOOM Users who don't have the NOOK Library can download the NOOK reading app to read a PDF or "direct replica" of the report on their smartphones. "The Mueller Report as released by the U.S. Department of Justice, Barr redactions and all, and it is essential reading for all Americans on both sides of the aisle," a description of the Mueller report on NOOK reads, in part. "After almost two long years, the wait is over for one of the most important investigations in the history of American politics." The Justice Department is expected to release a redacted version of the special counsel's report on Russian election interference and the Trump campaign following Barr's scheduled 9:30 a.m. news conference. Barr will present his interpretation of the report's findings before providing redacted copies to Congress and the public Thursday. ** www.foxnews.com/politics/barnes-and-noble-free-mueller-report-download

FOIA Judge May View Full Mueller Report And Release It To The MediaBY CHRIS WALKER April 17, 2019 ** On Tuesday, federal district Judge Reggie Walton, an appointee of former Republican President George W. Bush, expressed doubts over whether redactions in the Mueller report were necessary, according to a report from Politico. Walton also made clear that he didn’t feel that Attorney General William Barr, who has final say over what parts are redacted or not, would be honest in doing so. ** If there are doubts about whether redactions are appropriate or not, however, Walton suggested that he himself may request a copy of the Mueller report, to view for himself in a confidential manner what has been kept private. Upon viewing the document, Walton would then make a determination about whether the full report should be made public or not. ** hillreporter.com/foia-judge-may-view-full-mueller-report-and-release-it-to-the-media-31543

”AG Barr says Mueller report "acknowledges" Pres. Trump was "frustrated and angered by his sincere belief that the investigation was undermining his presidency," but says "the White House fully cooperated with the special counsel's investigation." abcn.ws/2ZnRRsW”
So what? Seriously why this even an issue? Look how many people Mueller’s team indicted. There was obviously something going on during the campaign that was rotten. Is this country suppose to ignore these acts because trump was frustrated and angry?

This is the most insidious thing Barr is saying. So basically, any mob boss now has NO REASON NOT TO DESTROY EVIDENCE esp. if the evidence destroyed makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get a conviction on the underlying crime.
THIS IS AN ABROGATION OF THE RULE OF LAW and that it is posited by the US AG tells us how much trouble our country is in.
