5/28 Update - I thought I'd give an update, though I don't have any good news.
It took the company almost a month to let us know they were going with someone else. They called every week to let us know a decision hadn't been made yet, and each time DH got so excited only to be let down. At least they did email and let him know the decision had finally been made.
Since then, he's had a lot of calls from recruiters and several phone interviews. I can't listen to him do the interviews - he drives me crazy. He refuses to make any changes to the way he answers the questions and I can tell the minute the interviewer starts trying to get off the phone. This is really a shame since he used to be great at interviews. He is more than able to do the
jobs he's interviewing for, but he just can't quite get his foot in the door.
Business has been okay, but it is already slowing down as he has caught up most of the customers who needed him while he was working the job he had for a couple of months.
If anyone has any ideas about getting an arrogant ass to listen and change his ways, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks,
Marcy

Any prayers or good thoughts you spare for DH tomorrow.
I’ve shared on here that DH wants to get a position rather than continue relying on our business for all our income. He got a 6 month contract recently that is ok, but not exactly what he wanted to do. The contract has a 2 week required notice so he can leave without any issues.
In Jan he interviewed with a company for his almost dream position, but they have been really slow with the follow up interviews. They have let him know what was going on and why there were delays - illness mostly- and he let them know before he accepted this contract. They were trying to get the interview set, but just weren’t available at that time. They wished him well, but asked if they could contact him when they were ready to interview.
He goes for the interview tomorrow. It’s scheduled to last 3 hours and will include meetings with the district manager as well as the CEO. This company has a reputation for taking a long time to hire, but also having a very high retention rate, so they ask all their questions before making an offer. If they move as slow with the next step as they’ve been with these steps, he may be finished with the contract before they are ready to start.
anyway, any good thoughts or prayers would be greatly appreciated. He is beyond excited.
Update:
He said the interview went really well. The job is pretty much his dream job and he knows he would be great at it. One of the interviewers went to his alma mater, so he is excited to think he’d be working with folks who might get his jokes, something we Southerners don’t always do. LOL He said that they had definitely contacted his references and seemed very impressed by what they’d had to say.
Usually after an interview he is very positive that he will get the job, but he wasn’t that way today. I don’t know if it was interview fatigue or if he’s just afraid to get his hopes up.
I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers.
Thanks!
Marcy
