A trip to my sunrise spot for Easter sunrise. I won't bore you with the actual sunrise. I did see a ton of deer. (family of 4 right outside the gate to the park...which is when I captured this one) and a pair of deer on the side of the road. I also saw two beavers. I've seen one before, never a pair. I then went to a somewhat "local" garden...one of the places I have an annual pass. A great way to get a few miles in without even realizing you're getting a few miles in.

Cute! Not trying to bring down your cute deer...but it reminded me of a story all over the news here. A farmer here was just killed by his pet deer and it also seriously injured his wife when she went in to help him. They look too cute & placid to kill people!

I was in the car, so I felt pretty safe.

Our mountain lions are out in full force the last few weeks and the bears are coming out of hibernation. Now I have to worry about the deer we have out "trick-or-treating" in everyone's tulips? They do travel in gangs. I shouldn't be surprised.

Never even thought about one doing that to someone.

I love the beaver! I’ve never seen one IRL. I see deer every morning. There is a long wooded gully behind my house and they walk through it to get from one grazing spot to another. There are usually four of them, and I love watching them make their way through the trees. It makes me feel like I’m in the country rather than a large post-industrial town!

I saw the first one I'd ever seen in the wild a few weeks ago. Snapped a pic...wasn't great but that booger waited until I left the dock and them swam right next to the dock. On Sunday, one swam as I was on the dock, but gave me a lot of room and proceeded to swim across the lake. About 2 minutes later, another came swimming almost straight at me...that's the one I snapped. In all my previous trips to a multitude of lakes, I'd never seen one.
