I recently bought a starter kit of Brushos because a friend raved about them. I really don’t like working with them but found I can use them to color matte medium to use as a glaze. These things are gonna last me forever.
i picked up the Rock a Block stamping block set at TM. Now I really didn’t need another stamp block or platform but I really like these and find I use them a lot. I especially like how I get a much nicer image from my super detailed stamps using this block and Versaclair ink.
So what was you latest impulse buy, and was it a rave or a nay?

Mine was galaxy-print Thicker-esque alphas. I bought two packs for less than $2 each at M's a few weeks ago. I bought them with no plan in mind, but just loved them and they were priced right.
They are a huge YAY!
I've used them on several layouts, including 3 senior prom layouts, 1 Spring Break layout, and 1 misc boy layout.
And I still have lots of useable letters left.

Great question! I was just at our little stamp store and bought a fun new MFT summer stamp set. I’m going to CKC Manchester this weekend, I’m sure there will be more.

Well I just went to Stamp and Scrapbook Expo last weekend and spent $800+ on I don't even know what. I know it is 99% paper, diecuts and stickers. I haven't even looked in the bags yet.
I'm sure I love it all though.

Something of an impulse purchase - I bought some watercolors and colored pencils from a Pea on the For Sale/Trade board. The watercolors were really unnecessary. I know it's a good brand and I would like to be good at watercoloring, but realistically, will I use them?? I don't know! I should probably try them out right now. I also have a set of Arteza waterbrushes that Vicki P on YT said were the best. The waterbrush I had was terrible so I got them, but I haven't used them yet. I guess I can try them both out together. btw about the Brushos - no matter what you do with Brushos they will last a looooong time. They're such a concentrated pigment. Not sure if you paint or color but have you tried using them to make watercolors? You can shake a little powder into a plastic palette and mix with a bit of water, paint, then let the remaining pigment dry up on the palette. Next time you want to paint you just re-wet like any other watercolor. They're a way art students can save money on high quality watercolor pigments. (I have a set, so yeah, I really didn't need the watercolors I bought here! lol) ETA: thanks for the tip about matte medium. I'll try that

Um, I’ve been on a spree of impulse buying lol.
2 Heidi Swapp 6x8 landscape albums 2 snap 6x8 portrait albums
( mind you I have empty albums but they are all square 8x8 or 12x12 from years ago, I wanted rectangles )
A small set of tailored expressions dies because I wanted one of the tiny clouds in it for my planner. I’ve already used it frequently because it’s been rainy frequently. I tolerate it, I don’t love it. I’m using it. But I did have to cut them apart which I don’t like and I don’t like the metal spurs that leaves behind that poke & stab my fingers. Honestly tailored expressions your prices are high enough that you could finish the dies so I’m not stabbing my fingers. I hadn’t bought a tailored expressions die in ages because of the need to cut them apart & my objection to that. But I was at my LSS and it was more an act of support for my LSS. So no I don’t ‘love’ it because it’s stabby, and I don’t want to screw it up by filing it and slipping. So I do not love it no. I feel cranky every single time I use it. I feel cheated by taylored expressions being lazy. I can list a bunch of manufacturers that finish their dies properly so I’m not stabbing my self who’s prices are similar to die companies that do not so I get cranky. Lol
And I guess pretty much anything I’ve bought at Tuesday morning is an impulse purchase because they never have what I went in there for lol.

Sigh, a 3M Laminator. I don't love it. I had such an idea in my brain that I had to do the idea and nothing was going to stop me, not even common sense. My planner cover did not work out the way my brain thought it should so it is clearly the machines fault

The set of Tim Holtz stamp blocks. I have wanted them FOREVER because of the grid lines and the fact that they are thin, so they won't take up a lot of room in my crop bag. The thing is, as soon as I bought them, I found my regular acrylic block and I much prefer it to Tim's blocks. I find that because they are so skinny they are hard for me to grip on to without my fingers getting in the way. Definitely some buyer's remorse on that one from me.

Put me in the Tuesday Morning camp too!
A paper collection, a paper pad, an ephemera pack, and I feel like some other things too.
The ephemera pack is (going to be) a huge win, it coordinates beautifully with the new CB French-ish type collection, of which I purchased a few sheets of to scrap my visit to the traveling Dior exhibit (dreamy sigh).
The other papers are in good company on the shelf with the rest of my pretties, lol.

Oh, dear. I just found a Hero Arts die at TM that is of a male merman. I don't know what possessed me to buy him, but I have lots of pictures of my boys in water and only find mermaid papers. I will use him.

I bought a one canoe planner for $3.00. There's less than 6 months left in the year. I guess I do like it. It will be cheap entertainment playing wth stamps, stickers, and pens.

I just bought the WR Memory Keepers stamp press/positioner from TM. I REALLY like it. I think it will help me stamp more on layouts and I have used it to make several cards already. Although I tried to use it to make the dumb gelatos work and that did not work out so well. I watched this video where you would position the stamp, color on it with the gelato, spritz it and then stamp. The video showed a cool, multi layer/colored stamp effect. Mine was just a soggy pastel mess.

Mine was a Gemini Junior. Actually it was an anniversary gift from my mother since my husband wouldn’t let her buy us an upright freezer. A win for me. I LOVE IT!!! I’ve used it so much.

Not super recent, but within the last 6 months, I bought a Field Notes ephemera pack of Vicki Boutins at Tuesday Morning. It was where I discovered her. I used a lot of it, and bought more. Now, I’m a crazy, drooling, super fan that just spent about $65 on her new collection. LOL

My last impulse buy was the Wolfpack 6x6, when JoAnn's had it for $3.99 with free shipping. I'm struggling a bit on how to use it. I have a few sheets of the 12x12, and I know they'll make great backgrounds, but I'm not sure how I'll use the 6x6 yet.
So, not love but not hate either.
