I was so happy when I found this! Apparently it took me 4 months according to my profile. I was a different name on the old boards, but I was around for years, I think 11 is what badge I had... my kids were just tiny when another friend told me about 2Peas. Now they’re 18 & 20. Crazy how time flies.

Posting so I can see if my badge shows 4 or 5... lol. I know I found this place pretty quickly though, although I don't remember how I heard about it. Facebook I think... I get this idea that for awhile there was a 2 Peas Facebook group of people from the old board. Then someone heard that this group had been started and we all came here. I do remember the "interim" board that was started by...who? some guy who said he was the husband of a Pea. There was some big uproar almost immediately over... what? Lol at my memory. Who remembers what that was all about?

I am glad we are here instead as I probably wouldn't be as active through facebook and threads wouldn't have been as easy to follow.

I do remember the "interim" board that was started by...who? some guy who said he was the husband of a Pea. There was some big uproar almost immediately over... what? Lol at my memory. Who remembers what that was all about? I remember it all the exact same way so no help from me on the details, lol. I too was a little panicked when I tried to log in to the old place and nothing showed up. I found Two Peas in 2000 when I was looking for ideas to make a holiday album. Scrapbooking wasn't very big in my part of the country at the time and I didn't even know scrapbook magazines existed. I got sucked into the NSBR board and spent far too much time reading over there but it sure was fun. When my world was reeling and I had no one to talk to irl, I turned to the peas and wow, the support was amazing. I know it gets crazy here at times and I know there are mean girls here and there definitely were over there, but I am still in awe of how a group of people I don't even personally know can get you through some pretty tough times. Happy Anniversary to all of us and a big thank you to admin for starting up this community!

I remember that day. I was in an all-afternoon agency meeting and CaraInTX shot me a note on FB (found it in my memories for today): this is for you, Yivit. Go to Two Peas NSBR Refugees group when you get out of your meeting, all hell's broken loose!

That was a scary day! I don’t remember how I found this board, I am not on Facebook and I certainly not anyone that anyone would bother to notify, but clearly I found this place and I am so glad.
I also remember many people who thought this board would never catch on. I am so glad they were wrong. I miss the peas who didn’t move with us, but I am so thankful for everyone who is here now. You ladies know everything (except for who David Holmes is!) and are a wealth of entertainment.

Does anyone remember the guy that was going to start another board (for some reason) and was spamming peas to get information about this new board? I caved and then regretted it and had to threaten him to remove me from his database.

Aww I'm kinda sad. It makes me realize that I've been here SO long and really no one really knows me. I'm sure people know you. I will say I know peas more by their avatar than their names and currently yours doesn't show for me. I know/remember the dog avatars and many of the people from my state. And the mean ones.

For many reasons, I'm not very social in my life. I didn't realize how much I'd miss it when 2peas closed down. It's embarrassing to admit this, but this board has been a bit of a god-send for me.

Looks like I found this board the first day.
Thanks admin, for giving us all a great home!

I've always meant to ask.....which member from 2 peas started this board? Who do we have to thank for giving us a new home? She told us who she was but also said she didn’t want to make a big fuss out of it as she wanted to keep this role separate.

This is my 5 year anniversary here then! I still miss Two Peas. I spent a lot of time on the scrapping boards and shopping. It was a simpler time. lol

On Facebook, I wrote: "What a day! Found out my favorite message board closed without notice. Well, I received an email, but threw it in the trash without reading it! Found a new place to hang out on the WWW, so hope it's as good!" And it was!! Wait. Just hold up there a minute Jiggly. You got an email? I feel so unloved now. <wipes tears away>

Five years? Damn, time goes fast.
And I can't help remembering all those who aren't here anymore. Many who have died, but so many who seem to have just moved on from us. I even miss some of the more unpleasant personalities - they were part of the whole experience.

Happy Anniversary Peas! I think I found this place within a few days. I can't remember how I sniffed it out, but I did. So glad I found the lifeboat. I was a much more active poster on the old board. I think I was still "Monica" on the old board, but I had an avatar of Jason Varitek (was the catcher for Boston Red Sox) with "Mrs. Jason Pea Varitek" under it. Ha ha! I was so in love with him in 2004 when I was still living in the Boston area and the Red Sox won the World Series. My babies were young and I would spend hours on 2peas late at night after they'd gone to bed, kind of a little escape. I remember I used to chat with a lot of the West Coast peas who were still up. Some super funny threads. Fast forward 15 years. I'm in Kentucky now. My babies are grown. While I'm not quite as chatty, I still check in with my online "family", to see what's up and what's happening with everyone. It absolutely amazes me that this group has survived through the years, through all the life events. What a bond. What a nice safe spot to land in the harbor of the stormy internet. So grateful.

Yeah...I think everyone did if you were subscribed to receive announcements/specials...etc. I always just thrashed them whenever I got one. But someone else early on mentioned the email and I checked. Yep, I received it but didn't read it. That's me, the very first to learn anything.

I got away from scrapping, and reading boards, and shopping... my life just fell apart! Ok, not really but it was icky for a bit! I googled 2Peas and found out that it had closed. It wasn't until within the last yr or so that I googled again and this board popped up and the rest is history...

I made it here the first day. I think I just did a frantic internet search. I think it is amazing that the closing of a message board sent me into a panic.
I am very happy to be here.
