I haven't had a chance to scrapbook since the beginning of June! I finished up the school year and catered the next couple of weekends. This past 3 days we've been gone because my daughter was playing softball proviencials. 3 long days of driving 2 hrs there and 2 hrs back, playing 7 games in 3 days! Happy to be home, got some great photos and they brought home a hard fought silver medal! Now I feel like I have a softball hangover and need to decompress before I can be creative. Congrats to your dd and her team! Where did they play?

I asked b/c our community was hosting the U19 women's softball provincials this past weekend. Was wondering if there was a pea in the neighbourhood. Can't wait to see your tournament pages... after you recover from you softball hangover of course...

Seems like there isn't any time during the weekend to scrap...kinda sad I wanted rain this weekend, just for an excuse to be inside! But...I was able to get a card made for my mom, and do a bit of cleaning in my scraproom. The second kit was a one off purchase of My Hero kit with the mountains, trees, and lake stamps and dies. I tried to buy this kit and got there too late! They are sold out. I put my name on the waitlist, so we will see! I am sure you will love it, it looks amazing!

Well, phooey!
Snapfish tracking said I should have my pics today. But the mailman just came, & no pics. 😞
And of course tomorrow would be a day when I had all day to scrap and just needed the pics.

Hi ladies- I often read these threads, but have never participated. So.. hello! I have spent the last couple of days organizing the pics on my computer from the past couple of years, tracking down and adding all of the misc pics from emails, texts, DH's phone, etc. Then updating my master organization spreadsheet, adding pics to kits I have purchased and organizing those kits, putting together picture orders for Walgreens and printing out the odd-sized pics at home... I have been very busy but haven't scrapped a single thing! I even made a list of kits and embellies to look out for at the Expo next month. It's taken hours and hours! But it was one of my projects for this summer vacation and now I am done. Now too bad I'm too tired? burned out? to actually go work on a page!
Glad you decided to jump in. That is an amazing project you not only took on, but succeeded in finishing! Kuddos to you! Don't beat yourself up over needing a bit of time before jumping in. Maybe you'll be ready in a week or two, maybe next month. Just congratulate yourself on getting your photos pics and things in order!
Awww... thanks! I actually knocked out a couple of super easy pages from the kits that I put together this past weekend, but it was tough- still not much mojo and the weather was so beautiful that I felt guilty staying inside. We'll see what the next week brings...

oh yes. The weather conundrum. When we want to be outside enjoying the weather but secretly wish for some type of storm to stay in and craft.

That's a bummer. I hope they come very early today.

This past weekend I went and spent the entire weekend out of town with a scrappy friend at an actual scrapbook store cropping the weekend away!! It was glorious!! We don't have a scrapbook store in our town anymore so it was well worth the 2 hour drive to spend the weekend surrounded by actual scrappy stuff!! It was so much fun and the store owners where awesome and had a great variety of new stuff. It felt like the good old days! We decided we are gonna make it up every other month. Sounds wonderful. Where is this store that hosts in-store scrappy weekends? I don't know how to tag... Did you see taylored expression sale is on

My Wild Hare kit came today. Will try to post a pic. In their enrolment questionnaire I identified blues and teals and primaries as my favorite colours, wood veneer and letter stickers, and said I would be scrapping grandkids and travel, as well as dd’s move. My kit hits all the colours I like, includes some cute wood veneer houses and features the new ep teen line plus some pretty Pinkfresh travel papers, a sticker sheet with tons of letters... I am a happy scrapper

I'm hoping I can scrap the graduation pics tomorrow. I have all the papers, embellishments, momentos together.

I started putting together six 12x12 graduation layouts.
Started three 12x12 summer field trip layouts from my other teen.
Started one 8.5x11 layout for ds school album.
Ran out of steam.
I'm hoping I can jump back into scrapping tomorrow.

I did 4 pages today. 3 pocket pages & 1 ‘layout’ for my 8x6 travel album. Now I’m going to go work on my planner pages - I’m behind waiting for pictures, but I just picked those up so I’m ready to go. I have to find a way to print those at home.

I have my first ever guest designer spot coming up soon, for a cut file designer. And today when I've sat down to start work on my projects, my Silhouette will no longer connect to my computer. Of course I don't want to go and buy a new one knowing that a new model will be out in just a few months. Nor could I even if I wanted to since no one locally stocks them and I wouldn't have time to have one shipped to me in time for the deadline. Because it's a VERY old Silhouette, I don't think it wants to communicate with my newly updated PC. Phooey.

Do you know someone locally who could let you download and cut the new file on their machine?

I plan to spend some time scrapbooking this afternoon. I have a 3 day break from the marathon visit from our DS and grandchildren. Whew! I need it. I love them dearly, but DH and I are tired. Plus, my house needs some TLC.

Plus, my house needs some TLC. Don't waste time cleaning house if those dgk's are coming back . Lots of time for that after they leave. Relax, breathe, craft if you have the energy. I have done the backgrounds for a couple of pages. Hoping to get one of them finished today. And have a list of other crafty things to do, but the mojo tank seems a little empty this morning. Hoping to get a bunch of camping pic's printed tomorrow from dd's photos. And with luck, the Hero Arts stamps and dies will be at the post office then too. Don't know if I will start putting pages together immediately (which is my MO), or if I will show some restraint and pack the photos and the camping papers and extras to take to our IRL crop in a couple of weeks.

Thankfully I managed to get it working on an old laptop. Long enough to cut what I needed to cut. I guess now I have a real and compelling reason to upgrade when the new one comes out!
