in your household? My sister that lives with me complains she has little refrigerator space. I don't how much she thinks she needs, but we already have 2 adults/2 teens so we seem to need quite a bit of space ourselves. We have a side by side that we bought off the previous owners (never had one that I picked out) but I would love another freezer at least. This one doesn't seem to hold much at all.
I was thinking of my BIL that has 6 kids (and adding to two with his fiance). He definitely would need at least 2 refrigerators/freezers. I'm nervous to add one though because of the already high electric bill but I sure would love to cook ahead and freeze more or buy more in bulk to freeze ahead.

We have 5 in our family and have one refrigerator and 2 chest freezers. We raise our own beef and pork and get a quarter of beef and half of a hog at a time so we have to have a large freezer to hold all the meat. The other one is a small freezer for non meat extras.

We only have one refrigerator.
I wish we had two washers though.

There are 5 of us and we have 2 refrigerators. One in the kitchen and then a full size fridge in the basement. It was there when we moved in. I had the freezer stocked full of breast milk and we keep water and other drinks in the refrigerator. It doesn't get used much and is probably a drain on the electric bill but it comes in handy when we have crap that won't fit in the fridge upstairs.

I have a big French door fridge with the freezer on the bottom and a large upright freezer. We buy meat in bulk also (half beef and whole hog at a time) so we absolutely need the freezer space. I didn't get a frost-free freezer on purpose because with an upright, you don't want it cycling on and off with all that meat in there and it uses less energy. We defrost it every couple of years and it's never been an issue. Electric bill isn't that much larger.

There's only two of us but we have a side freezer and a chest freezer. We use the chest freezer to stock up on stuff for Costco. Our side freezer isn't very big.

1 standard fridge with freezer on top and one small chest freezer. we used to have a second big chest freezer but it died and we haven't replaced it yet.
3 adults, 1 teen, 1 child - but I've had the small chest freezer since it was just me and Simon (got it when he was 5)

We have 3 adults living here and we have one refrigerator and 3 freezers. One is an upright freezer, one is a small chest freezer and one is a large chest freezer. We buy in bulk especially meat and we freeze a lot from our garden every summer so all our freezers are full. We used to have a fridge out on our garage for holding drinks and extra fridge space but it's been unplugged for years now.
My sister has a family of 2 adults 3 kids and they have 2 fridges and a freezer.

I live alone and have a big fridge with a freezer on the bottom. I also have a small upright freezer in my garage so I can take advantage of meat sales and freeze homemade things like stocks, sauces and baked goods.

We have 3 people at home and 2 frig/freezers (both side by sides). The one in the garage holds all our frozen meat and the only thing in the frig is water/sodas/beer. I'm sure we could go to one if we ever had to but I do like having the extra space.

we have 4, and we have 1 fridge/freezer and a large upright freezer. right now we're between houses and in an apartment, and let me tell you we miss that freezer dearly. it's so hard not being able to stock up on meat when it's on sale, store more than 1 frozen pizza, etc. 2 weeks til we move into our new house tho!

We have one regular sized fridge/freezer in our kitchen and 1 stand up freezer in the garage.
There are three of us in our household. We buy meat in bulk at the butcher shop and I'm working on freezing meals ahead.

I had a chest freezer and a French door frig. The chest was to deep for me , so that got unplugged and I will clean it good and leave it for the people who buy the house. And the French door died. So, it took forever to find the new frig and it is a side by side with no freezer room. Hence the search for a new freezer.

We have one fridge with bottom freezer and one mid size upright freezer. We used to have a huge upright freezer but when it died the kids were gone and we thought the smaller one would be enough for just the two of us. Wrong. If I had to do it over I would have gotten another big one. By the time I shop sales and cook ahead I'm often out of room.

There are 4 of us and we have a side-by-side in the kitchen, a mini fridge in the bar area, a medium chest freezer and a large upright freezer in the basement. We buy beef by the half/qtr, plus freeze alot of garden veggies. As far as electricity, no idea, but I'm guessing our A/C and pool pump use alot more electric than the freezers.

There are 4 of us. We have a large French door fridge with freezer on the bottom. We put the older, smaller fridge in my husband's home office. He keeps cold water and tea in there so he doesn't have to walk across the driveway into the house for drinks. We have 2 chest freezers, one currently full with the 1/2 cow we purchased and the other mostly full of cook ahead items and other meats I've gotten on sale.

Family of 6 (two adults and 4 kids, no teens) and we have a two door fridge w/freezer on the bottom and a chest freezer in the garage. We are fine on freezer space but our fridge is too small, and we bought the biggest one that would fit in our space.
I'm always shuffling stuff around to get things to fit, especially milk jugs. The tall ones from Costco don't fit upright without the shelves adjusted and then nothing fits on the shelves because it's so short. I am thinking that when the baby (14 months) starts eating more food we are going to need a 2nd fridge...

We have a side by side and then a smaller regular frig. We also have a small deep freezer. There are two parents and three kids. But I do buy a lot of meat and frozen products from Costco.

We have 2 adults and 2 kids but my mom lived with us before she passed away. We have a full size frig and freezer. We have a medium sized chest freezer in our pantry and an oversized dorm-type frig too in our garage. Our freezer is for bulk and stocking up. Our smaller frig is for extra milk (we go through 2 of more gallons a week!), waters, extra items for kids lunches.

I would love two refrigerators. Ours is always so full. We hardly need freezer space. I hate to defrost meat, so I just go to the store every couple of days when we need meat. But I would love a refrigerator in our garage for water bottles, sodas, etc.

My sister and her 4 year old live with us...so total there are 6 people.
I'm looking for a garage fridge. We are surviving w a side by side but an extra refrig would be mostly for drinks and back up stuff. Not a need but nice to have.

There are 2 if us. We have always had one fridge and one chest freezer. Just yesterday though, we got a second fridge for the garage. Dh didn't really think we needed it, but I told him to consider it a "beer fridge in steroids". Will be getting an upright freezer and getting rid of the chest one soon.

We're a family of four and we have two regular fridges and a chest freezer ... the fridges are usually quite full but the freezer is practically empty because we stack too much stuff on top of it (thanks to Costco)

Family of 3.
One side by side fridge in the kitchen. One upright full sized freezer in the basement.
I do have an older small fridge in the garage, but it is not currently plugged in.

When our kids were little we always had a refrigerator in the house and a freezer in the garage. I loved having the freezer but also needed the extra fridge space. So 4 kids and 2 adults.

We have one counter-depth side-by-side fridge/freezer in the kitchen, as well as a small drink fridge. We also have an upright freezer in the garage that is for bulk stuff - mostly our meat shares, as well as fruit and vegetables we pick and freeze in the summer for winter use. There are three of us.

DH & I are here full-time, two teenagers are here part-time and we have two fridges. One in the garage for mostly beverages and extra freezer space. I am not sure I could ever go back to just one. So nice to have.
