2 adults: one french door with freezer on the bottom, and one large chest freezer in the garage. As we both work full time I like to do a lot of bulk cooking so Mon to Fri all I have to do is cook the veg sides. Plus I like to have the freezer space to take advantage of sales, and also I do a lot of baking pre holidays.

5 people, two refrigerators.
But.... I live in FL, the hurricane capital. So my second fridge is mostly just for cold drinks, the pizza box, a watermelon, etc and a wee bit of extra freezer space. I don't stock pile meats, perishables or other costly frozen items cause if we loose power 90% of it will end up in the trash.

There are 4 people in my house. I have a big French door fridge with the freezer on the bottom and a large upright freezer. There is also a wine fridge and a kegerator/small dorm fridge in the basement bar area. But those rarely get food overflow. They do keep our booze out of the main fridge though.

I have a large french door fridge with the freezer on the bottom and I also have an upright freezer that I absolutely love. It is crammed full and I cannot imagine not having it. We have 3 adults and one teenager living here.

We have 2 adults and 4 young children. We have a regular freezer-on-top fridge, plus a good sized chest freezer and a dorm fridge in the garage. A second full sized fridge would be great, but our garage is teeny tiny. Dh brought the dorm fridge home from work a few months ago and it has been great for extra eggs, cheese, big tubs of yogurt etc... If our kitchen fridge ever dies we will likely get a larger french door model.
We got the chest freezer before we had any kids. We were looking at a smaller model but my SIL advised us to size up and I'm glad we did!

With six people in our house, we have a side by side fridge and an upright freezer. We couldn't live without that freezer.

Their are 3 of us. We have a large side by side fridge, and 2 chest freezers. Currently we are only using the 1 large chest freezer though, the other is unplugged for now. Once we start our winter meat stock up we will use it again.

There are just the two of us now, but we have 2 full size refrigerators, one in the kitchen and one in the basement. Kitchen has a bottom freezer, basement has a smaller top freezer. We also have two freezers in the garage; a full size upright and a small chest. They all came in very handy when the kids and grandkids were here more frequently and still do when everyone comes to visit. We do a lot of bulk buying, sales, etc. I make a lot of freezer meals and we also freeze a lot of in-season produce - peaches, corn, apples, peppers, tomatoes, beets, asparagus. It works great for us and I love being able to just pull dinner out of the freezer.

Two adults. Two kids. Two dogs. Four guinea pigs. We have a side-by-side in the house. We have a regular fridge/freezer in the garage for overflow. I never felt the need for a second fridge until after we bought the side-by-side. Then again, we do not eat out much.

Currently 2 adults. We have a french door fridge with the freezer on the bottom and we also have the old fridge and a chest freezer. The old fridge is now the beer fridge. We do stock up when things are on sale and fruit is in season to freeze for later use. We also store things for the kids (adults out on their own) who don't have the freezer space. I'm currently storing the top tier of a wedding cake for my stepson/step-DIL because it would take up their entire freezer to store it in their apartment.
