Ok, this might be a dumb question. And that is ok...I have no problem with that. While I think the colors and patterns are cute on this set, why would one want to scrapbook their work? Taken directly from the release on there site, "you will love documenting your work life with this fun collection of papers & embellishments." Do people really document their work life? Maybe a promotion, if there is a party? I don't know! I work at a company, in an office, and if someone just started taking pictures of people in their cubes, people would freak. Also, while I like my co workers just fine, they are not my friends nor my family, and I don't know that I need them in a scrapbook. I see them 8 hrs a day. What am I missing here? I promise I am not being critical, I am just truly confused. Tell me why I need this so I can spend my money, lol....

I scrapped a photo of me at my desk to capture that aspect of my life. I spend more than half my waking hours at work so I want to record some of that. I've used lots of work photos in my Project Life pages.

I've used lots of work photos in my Project Life pages. Agree. I have used work pictures in Project Life, December Daily and other Ali projects. It is really a big part of my life. That being said, I wouldn't feel comfortable taking pictures of co-workers, even though I get along great with them.

I like the papers too, but I don’t work in an office and I can’t imagine wanting to scrap it often if I did. I imagine I would do one or two layouts for recording it, but other than that I can’t figure it out either. I am a teacher and as much as I love and enjoy my job I don’t scrapbook it. I have plenty of other pages and events and things to do.
To each their own, and I am glad this line is out there for people that do want to scrap their office life.

@kendramage I feel the same as you about my job. There are people here I really care about and have scrapbooked pictures from some parties but I don't care about documenting any day in the life here.
But I did just look through the collection a little more closely and while it's office themed I can see a lot of the embellishments working in planners, for motivational or progress type pages.

I do have a few pics of coworkers, but they are all from company events or award ceremonies, nothing for daily work life so I don't think most of Office Hours would work for those themes. That said, I think the collection can be used for a lot more than work pages. Plan could be used for a crop, school pages, or a planner event. Organize could be used for anything home related. Use Inspiration any accomplishment. Dreams for a garden page. Hard work for a "baby is growing too fast page" or your own busy day page.
There's always the B sides, most of which are not work related. And if you don't like the work related words on a sheet, you can always cover them up with ephemera. Have I convinced you yet? I think I've convinced me, lol.

When I worked at an office at a desk job, I wouldn't scrap that, personally. Only if I truly LOVED my job. I did do many trade shows that I have pics from, but I would probably only scrap a pic, or two, but I haven't. Not sure I ever will.

The collection doesn't look aimed at cubicle dwellers to me. It looks like someone with a home office - an aspiring writer, or someone who's doing an MLM. You could easily scrap photos from a (sales) work-related convention with those materials.
It has never occurred to me to scrap my work life, though!

I'm using it to document my scrap area and my daughter who studied incredibly hard for her AP tests this past year.

Haha, I can't understand NOT scrapping work life! Or maybe I can't understand spending so much of my life in work that I don't want to document. I get that most people are not working their "bliss" but I'm very much a person who has to find some value and joy in what I do with my time. That being said, I know a lot of people don't document lots of topics in their scrapbooks. Some people document their scrapping in their scrapbooks, other people not at all. The "everyday life" thing doesn't appeal to everyone. And in many workplaces it wouldn't be possible or appropriate to document very much about what you do. But it's the thing most people spend the most time doing - the only other huge block of time in most of our days is sleep. So the thought of my scrapbooks only reflecting a few minutes or a few hours of most of my week, or a couple of weeks of each year doesn't make much sense to me. (Obviously, just my personal POV) From the perspective of someone looking through other people's albums - I love the photos my dad took at work and especially the few photos of him doing his work. I love seeing his office. I didn't see him there very often IRL - he was gone from 6am to 6pm every weekday for my entire life - so it was always interesting for me to know what his world was like. I also have pictures of a great uncle at work - he worked for the same company for his entire life and it was very important to him. And thanks to one of my ancestors being a member of parliament and mayor I have photos of him doing parts of his job. These people all held different, mostly rather dull, office jobs but that doesn't matter. I'd love to see my ancestors with the houses they built or their grocery shops or dressed in whatever office wear looked like at that time on the train/bus on their way to their job. I actually think the work events would be a lot less interesting to me (a party is a party). Anyway, you do you. If your job isn't interesting to you and you don't have someone else saying "I wish I knew what you looked like at your desk" then --shrug-- Save that money for a collection that speaks to you

I scrapped my first work trips that were international. The offices, lunch rooms, transportation to get to the office and bathrooms were all different than my regular work office, and of course the people. I wanted to remember them and their names and show my US based co-workers so we could put a name to the voice.
Regular 8-5 days in my own office don't strike me as scrap worthy.

The only work pics I've scrapped - maybe 3? Are from functions. I don't do day to day scrapping but only vacations, DD and layouts of my niece so have no interest in a line like office hours.

I'm a teacher and over the years I have scrapbooked parties, field trips, special projects, etc. Next year is my 40th year teaching, my 31st year in this particular school and my LAST year teaching!! You can bet I'll be scrapping the heck out of this year!

I can see people with non traditional office jobs scrapbooking their jobs Off the top of my head, dog or horse trainers, professional dog handlers, scrapbooking or crafty instructors or store owners. Teachers and I’m sure I’m missing a lot of professions

I think it just really threw me, the language in the release, about documenting your work life with this fun collection. While I do like my job a lot, work life+"fun scrapbooking collection" just were just not meshing in my brain. LOL, my job is plenty interesting to me, but it's like trying to scrapbook doing your taxes. Maybe it just doesn't translate to scrapbooking.

I can’t scrap my current work life.
While I do have pictures from ‘work’ they are mostly for court and not things I’d want to scrap. Certainly not things that would go with that paper!
When I did work in an office I doubt I’d scrap my work. There is one pic of me somewhere from my work in my early 20’s if I ever find it again I might scrap it. I remember it being an interesting picture. Not sure what box it’s currently dwelling in. I wouldn’t buy a whole line for it though

We can’t take photos at my place of employment. I don’t see any real use for this line although I can see where others would.

I think I've convinced me, lol. I can't see myself using the ephemera as much, but that is a good idea. I would put a NOT in front of the ready for the weekend phrase.
I like the line for other uses. I would personally use it for journaling; doing goal setting. It would be fun to use a travel journal and use the encouraging phrases.
I LOVE the library book paper. You could do a page of books read for the year or do a fun mini album of your favorites.
I could do a page of my love for office supplies.

I won’t be using them to scrapbook my work, that’s for sure. I actually LOL-d at your question- in a good way! If people can make unicorns and tacos and glittery flamingos work in scrapping then a stack of books or a stapler will be a snack!

I don’t care for this collection as much because it’s not representative of normal work life. However, I think it’s BECAUSE we spend so much of our days at work that it’s a big part of my life...so it ends up in my Project Life.
Definitely not every week, but it’s good to show the mundane every now and then because it’s an accurate portrayal of where I am in my life right now.
I have always been pretty good friends with my coworkers, though, at every job. So it ends up being folded in.

I can imagine it being a good collection for a project like Week in the Life if you work in an office like I do. Last time I did that project, a lot of the documenting I did was of my life at the office since I’m there from 9-5 Monday to Friday.

I've scrapped a handful of work pages over the years, some documenting big changes like redundancy and others focusing on more of the everyday details. I generally use a photo of my desk for the everyday type pages and I've used those to document what I love (or don't) about my job and the company I work for at the time.

Haha, I can't understand NOT scrapping work life! I bought this collection hot off the press for myself and for my friend. I am someone who is on leave pending retirement from 37 years in government service and I've had jobs since I was 10. Work has been a huge part of my life, from cubicles to my own offices, to classrooms to work at home. I am also documenting my son's teaching career and find lots of uses for his selfies of his work area, desk, fun pics with coworkers in the break room.... If I made the collection for self I would have had much different individual tags, but I can make use of many of these. The job I am leaving was in a hospital for 18 years and I had an office where many photos were taken, as well as parties, celebrations and gatherings. I will not scrap all of these but many of them I will. I'm planning to gather my worklife photos and make them into their own album, I scrapped my years in the Air Force, most of which were spent in office work, as well as some other fast food jobs and a teaching job I had when I lived in the UK. Like joblackford said, I can't imagine not scrapping my work and my workplace! This collection does take steps toward filling that void in theme scrapping which I appreciate!

I’ve never had a job I loved enough to scrapbook, even now. I work for my husband and while it’s not my dream job, it does afford me a lifestyle I could not have if I had a traditional job. I wouldn’t be able to homeschool my child and have spontaneous pajama days with the kids. So I do document my job now but it’s not office-y at all. It’s grease and tools and I don’t usually keep my phone on me for pictures simply because my hands are gross. Honestly I do t even have a dream job.

My work is a HUGE part of my life. I've been at it over 20 years and have made something of it that I'm proud of.
I have scrapped pages w/all my old business cards.
I've scrapped pages of my cubes and offices where I've worked at various companies.
I've scrapped pages about my start-up.
I plan to continue scrapping about my work life.
I AM PROUD OF IT AND I HAVE WORKED HARD AT IT and it deserves to be part of my story.
Thanks for asking.

You’ve put a lot of hard work into it and it shows that you’re happy. That’s always a wonderful thing to hear. <3 ETA I would never criticize someone’s choice of scrapbook subject. While this collection isn’t for me, it’s for a lot of other people and that’s a good thing. I scrap stuff that some would shake their heads at!

For some people, their work IS their life. It fills a gap that was overlooked.
Now if they would just come out with Renaissance Fair papers........ I know I can use some castle and fairy tale papers (and have), but I’d like something more specific to Renaissance Fairs. A lot of people go every year, and there are Renaissance Fairs in nearly every U.S. state, not to mention those who like to go to Medieval Times would probably buy them, too.

Some of the more career driven people who didn’t have a ton of babies young have had to put up with year after year of baby releases. Looking at it this way makes me want to buy the line just to show support.
